Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT) and Gov. Bill Richardson (D-NM) confirmed today that they won’t take part in the Fox News/CBC presidential debate. (They join former Sen. John Edwards (D-NC), and Sens. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) and Barack Obama (D-IL).) If the debate is held as planned, it will pit Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) against Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) and former Sen. Mike Gravel (D-AK).
Fu*k Fox.
May 30th, 2007 at 4:55 pmWhen the going gets tough, pus*ies get running. They have the same policy in Iraq
May 30th, 2007 at 4:56 pmHey Eric, why is it that the pussies in the Bush admin. only appear on right wing talk shows? F*ck Fox and people like Eric.
May 30th, 2007 at 5:02 pmThe debate will be their lowest Republican ratings, and highest Democratic ratings ever. LOL
May 30th, 2007 at 5:03 pmSweet! Pretty soon it’ll just be Kucinich debating himself! Might have to tune into that!
May 30th, 2007 at 5:03 pm*Eric
IF you are both:
1.such a manly man
2. convinced that the strategy in Iraq is gonna work
then why you sign up for the military and go fight!
Then again, it IS much easier to question the courage of those who can easily be painted as “un-American” and “cowards” by those who themselves never picked up arms in defense of something greater than themselves.
Go ahead Eric, go defend Liberty and Freedom in Iraq, may you find logic and reason there sir.
May 30th, 2007 at 5:05 pmDems have the same policy for Fox that they do in Iraq.
Fox is a legitimate news organization. Honest, it is!
Something about Bill Clinton, I don’t know…
May 30th, 2007 at 5:06 pmIf people TRULY wanted useful debates, they would have the debators debate both sides of the issue, a different side for each half of the debate.
With such a debate format, HYPOCRISY would become obvious, and would no longer cloud the issues, like it does now.
Imagine if Kucinich has to argue reasons to stay in Iraq, while McCain has to argue reasons to leave from Iraq!
May 30th, 2007 at 5:08 pmProve you aren’t a pu$$y and sign up for the military like I did. Pu$$y.
May 30th, 2007 at 5:11 pmKucinich and Gravel, the only two candidates that don’t read from a canned list of scripted answers.
At the moment, I’m seriously considering supporting Ron Paul’s campaign, and I’ve never supported, or even voted for a Republican in my life.
May 30th, 2007 at 5:11 pmWhen the going gets tough, my pussy starts dripping this wierd ooze!!
May 30th, 2007 at 5:11 pmWhat a thriller, I cant wait for that debate.
May 30th, 2007 at 5:14 pmTo those who think that Dems should appear on Fox in order to reach people who never watch anything buy Fox.
May 30th, 2007 at 5:15 pmYou make a point.
However, such an appearance also serves to legitimize the propaganda network. Their questions are skewed, their phrasing is along the talking point key words, and the generally unfair and unbalanced approach taken by Fox anchors is not one lends itself to anything other than a false representation of what is advertised as a rightful debate.
single issue voters worry me…
May 30th, 2007 at 5:18 pmthere are many more problems that need fixed in addition
to the iraq fiasco… they won’t get fixed by ANY repug…
no matter how anti-war they may be…
the hagel supporters need to learn more also…
…
That ought to be a spectacle.
2 mavericks and the guy who loves to listen to his own voice.
I wish they would all stand up for themselves and boycott Fox.

May 30th, 2007 at 5:27 pmThe FOX debate is 4 L-O-S-E-R-S!!!!!!!
oh, m’ god.
You are totally NOT cool if you’re going.
Like,
all the cool Democratic candidates,
are like,
gonna totally get wasted that night,
so like,
why would anyone want go on FOX?
May 30th, 2007 at 5:28 pmRegardless of where this is, the three candidates who will be at this debate will get tons of air time and the ability to get their views across. Legitimation of fox’s agenda aside, airtime is airtime.
Debate aside, I’m not really feeling the progressive’s general antipathy towards the fox agenda. I’m not a fox supporter by any stretch of the imagination, but they are aiming to have a fair, even discussion of politics in America. I’m surprised that a community that thrives with an interest in hearing all sides of an argument is so adamantly against a venue that is offering such an ability. I used to think that it was a good idea that these candidates were skipping the debate, but now I’m starting to believe otherwise.

Quick, go hide under your bed. The terrerrists are coming.

Concern troll alert.
Ace, anyone who thinks that Fox is truly aiming to have a “fair, even discussion of politics in America” is deluded. They’re not even trying to make it look good anymore.

You mean the policy of withdrawal that Republicans are now talking about?

Or the one of “appeasement”, that the Bush administration is now investigating?

Yeah, I heard similar BS somewhere else before…
May 30th, 2007 at 5:36 pm
Good for Richardson and Dodd, they’re about the only ones without the baggage and stupidity of their fellow politicians. The other dingbats will probably prattle on about their beliefs, excuses, the failures of others, etc. Fox is a suitable venue for them.
May 30th, 2007 at 5:40 pmhow could it possibly be worse than the MSNBC debate featuring Brian Williams and his designer sandbags??
If Dems without big fat bankrolls want to roll the dice and go, I can’t say as I blame them.
they don’t exist if they aren’t on t.v.

Thanks for the quote, it’s a classic. While it’s ridiculous to compare BushCo to the Nazi’s, there are parallel lines of strategy that they’re using as illustrated by the quote. Fascist is as fascist does.
May 30th, 2007 at 5:57 pmOh, and another similarity is the way that Patrick1, the 28%’ers, Jake/MAF54, Venuswhatever, lick the BushCo boots just as those in Nazi Germany did as well.
One of the tenets of religion is that human beings are special, the lord giving us dominion etc, yet we are incapable from learning from our mistakes. Not so special if you ask me.
May 30th, 2007 at 6:17 pmEric: have you ever seen the movie “outfoxed?” maybe you should watch it. then again, you’re probably afraid it could change your mind. i’m guessing you also haven’t seen loose change, either. maybe you should move to utah and live with the “utard sheep.” i’m sure you would fit in there.
May 30th, 2007 at 6:19 pmThe trollies seem to think that the Fox debate is the ONLY debate which will take place.
Trolls are stuck on stupid…..
May 30th, 2007 at 6:32 pmAdog,
May 30th, 2007 at 6:34 pmthanks for the reference to “Outfoxed” — anyone who hasn’t seen the video might like to take a trip to their local blockbuster and rent it.

May 30th, 2007 at 6:35 pmWell I certainly won’t be tuning into Faux Non-News – I have it blocked at my house. I love it when the relatives come over and ask, “Hey, I can’t get fox on your TV.” and I respond, “No, you sure can’t and won’t ever see it on my TVs.”.

You wish! Smart, I say. GOP TV must never be given legitimacy as a “news” organization because they don’t deserve any. Don’t believe me? Switch to Fox right now (yes, at any time you read this) and see what they’re talking about.
I don’t need to anymore. I know what they’ll be talking about. They’ll be saying, “The fact that “x” happened, is proof you should not vote for the Democrats” OR “the fact that “x” did not happen, is proof that you should not vote for the Democrats” depending on whether “x” happened or not.
GOP TV: Always Unfair and Unbalanced.
May 30th, 2007 at 7:33 pmI might actually be interested in watching this.
Let’s face it, it’s a give Fox will ask biased and loaded questions, questions that assume the answer; like the ticking time-bomb scenario that’s totally fictitious, but designed to make it so that the respondent has no morale choice but to torture someone.
It will be very enlightening to see how these three handle such questions. Certainly they show no fear about going into a hostile environment, and, as President, the minute they step on the world stage, they will be in a hostile environment, thanks to Bush&Co. (witness how Mexico treated Miss USA, for example)
Do I care for Fox? No. But they will provide a good proving ground.
May 30th, 2007 at 7:37 pmOf the 3 that are left so far I would commit to watching this “debate” on Fux nOoze if they could cut out Biden. What a loser. He would probably side with the Fux nOzze Kool-Aid guzzlers!!
It would be great to listen to Cucinich and Gravel rip the Fux nOzze a$$holes a brand new exit “strategery” in a personal-sort-of-way.
May 30th, 2007 at 7:42 pmI have to say that I am very disappointed in Kucinich. And I could care less what that slime Biden does.
But, considering how the MSM ignores Kucinich, he may see this as his only opportunity to be heard.
May 30th, 2007 at 7:59 pm“At the moment, I’m seriously considering supporting Ron Paul’s campaign, and I’ve never supported, or even voted for a Republican in my life.”
Before you think about that, please read up and see what Mr. Paul represents. Other than his sensible stand on the occupation of Iraq, Ron Paul is another horror of a RepubliCON who pretty much votes the party line.
There are plenty of Democrats to vote for who still have a spine and some courage. John Edwards comes to mind for me. But then, I’m holding out for re-electing Gore/Edwards.
May 30th, 2007 at 8:02 pmComment by CaptainVideo — I was thinking the same thing. What would really be cool is throw Guilianni in there as well and let Ron Paul and Guilianni go at it. Even beter all of um in the cage of death and the last one standing gets the nod….flmao
May 30th, 2007 at 8:50 pmIf one participates in the CNN Debate on June 3rd, which has Glenn Beck on CNN Headline News, then I do not see why one can’t participate in the Fox News Debate. As bad as Fox News is, and it is bad, I think that Glenn Beck is worse or just as bad as any person on Fox News, including Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity.
May 31st, 2007 at 1:57 amBiden should debate himself on FOX network, because he straddles the fence on every issue.
