‘Shays, Lieberman: Please stop talking.’
Via Atrios, the Connecticut Post has a message for Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) and Rep. Chris Shays (R-CT):
Those two esteemed congressional representatives are recently back from trips to the never-ending war in Iraq, but neither of them seems especially downbeat. U.S. troop deaths are reaching all-time highs, but, apparently, there’s reason for optimism. Who would’ve guessed! [...]
As for Shays and Lieberman, their credibility on Iraq is so shot that it hardly matters what they say. They’ve been wrong over and over, time after time, year after year. Why should anyone possibly care what they have to say?

June 1st, 2007 at 10:55 amThe Democratic party needs to be working on viable alternatives to both of those incumbents now! Lamont wasn’t supported by the DLC and all of the CT Republicans voted for Joe. The money that poured into Joe’s campaign coffers (by Republicans) allowed him to portray Lamont as a one-issue candidate (anti-war) and as a newbie who wouldn’t serve the state’s needs sufficiently which bought him just enough Democrats and Independents to win.

Democrats don’t like the way the news is delivered on Fox, so they boycott. Students on campus don’t like conservative commentators, so they disrupt their lectures, so the message won’t get out. Although many have opposing views on man’s role on climate change, liberals only shout, “the debate is over”. When Lieberman and Shay express an assessment of the situation in Iraq that doesn’t fit the liberal agenda, don’t debate them, tell them to STFU.
Are liberals, just getting lazy? Or maybe they admire Hugo Chavez for more than just his economic policies.

When LIEberman and Shay go to Iraq under armed guard, and come back home, take off all their protective gear and spout lies about “progress” in a country under endless, deadly occupation and a horribly destructive civil war (2 million refugees), some folks get angry enough to shout STFU!!
Not me. I want the lying, warmongering, NeoCon drones to keep on talking. They are just digging the hole deeper.
BTW: Boycotting Faux Noise would seem to be a civic duty. That LIE FACTORY deserves to be shunned by every sane, honest, decent citizen. So, that would leave Murdoch’s slimy empire where it belongs, safely distributing LIES to the insane, dishonest, indecent 28% who still believe the lies of our current corrupt president and his bedfellows, Shays and LIEberman.
