Dennis Milligan hopes Americans are attacked by terrorists again so we can appreciate Bush? What if the terrorists pick a target one of his family members just happens to be in, or near that day? Is wishing an attack that would cause the death of his fellow Americans, fellow human beings worth loyalty to your party/president? I am deeply ashamed of the hate and hysteria that 9/11, the Iraq war, and party/presidential loyalty has inspired in the citizens of this country. I am so saddened to see my fellow citizens being thrilled in a frighteningly blood thirsty way that Bush vetoed the bill for a deadline to withdraw troops from Iraq. I am sickened and saddened at how easily Americans are stirred to hatred and prejudice. I am appalled at how un-educated Americans really are when it comes to knowledge of the constitution and our rights. And I am sickened and saddened at how easily Americans are turning against each other and accusing those who are against the war of being terrorists or sympathizing with terrorists. It’s so sad that Americans are too ignorant to be able to have intelligent discussions or debates regarding why they are for the war, or against it without resorting to calling names and accusing their fellow citizens of being traitors. Look what this president, and the republican party has inspired in this country! Sick, blood thirty party loyality that makes people happy that there is no end in sight to this nonsensical war which means more and more of our soldiers will die or be maimed, and it inspired a satan worship-like fervor in Dennis Milligan that makes him want to sacrifice the lives Americans to his dark lord and master President Bush so Americans can appreciate him. Shameful!

Terror attacks are real and will not go away for a while. What we are doing now in Iraq will eventually be appreciated after years when people will look back on what was really accomplished: death of many Islamic radical leaders who could have caused problems in the future.

That’ll be why the rhetoric of right-wing blogs attract and never discourage 9/11 conspiracy theorists who, with actual evidence, findings, prosecutions and confessions to the contrary, nevertheless blame the US for killing 3000 of it’s own citzens for no apparent reason.

In 1995, militant Islamist Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman and 9 others were convicted of conspiracy charges, and in 1998, Ramzi Yousef, believed to have been the mastermind, was convicted of the bombing. Al-Qaeda involvement is suspected.

Nov. 13, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: car bomb exploded at U.S. military headquarters, killing 5 U.S. military servicemen.

June 25, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia: truck bomb exploded outside Khobar Towers military complex, killing 19 American servicemen and injuring hundreds of others. 13 Saudis and a Lebanese, all alleged members of Islamic militant group Hezbollah, were indicted on charges relating to the attack in June 2001.

Aug. 7, Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania: truck bombs exploded almost simultaneously near 2 U.S. embassies, killing 224 (213 in Kenya and 11 in Tanzania) and injuring about 4,500. 4 men connected with al-Qaeda 2 of whom had received training at al-Qaeda camps inside Afghanistan, were convicted of the killings in May 2001 and later sentenced to life in prison. A federal grand jury had indicted 22 men in connection with the attacks, including Saudi dissident Osama bin Laden, who remained at large.

Oct. 12, Aden, Yemen: U.S. Navy destroyer USS Cole heavily damaged when a small boat loaded with explosives blew up alongside it. 17 sailors killed. Linked to Osama bin Laden, or members of al-Qaeda terrorist network.

Iraqi Pipeline Company Workers on Strike

Monday June 4th 2007

Iraqi Oil Workers On Strike

Workers from the Iraqi Pipelines Company in Basra are on strike today.

Workers began the strike at 6.30 this morning by shutting two 14″
pipelines carrying oil and gas products inside Iraq.

The strike is over unfulfilled demands tabled by the Iraqi Federation of
Oil Unions (IFOU) – of which the Iraqi Pipelines Union is a member – to
Prime Minister Maliki on May 16th 2007. The 16 demands focus on improved
working conditions, pay, land for homes, a reduction in the national
price of fuel and crucially, inclusion in the Oil Law drafting process.

Prime Minister Maliki agreed to the Federation’s demands and established
a committee comprised of Ministry of Oil, IFOU and Southern Oil Company
representatives to implement the demands.

Strike leaders say, if the government does not implement the agreement,
the 48″ crude pipeline to Baghdad will be shut.
