With that statement, I must demur. Not with the bitch part, necessarily. Unbelievable is like most of the ladies on this list, in-your-face and sassy, even bitchy at times. But at deeper levels, for those with eyes to see and ears to hear, a profound message is couched in their commentary. It will be of great value to those who learn to discern it.

An excellent question… it relates to ways of knowing things that are well beyond the purview of the intellect. If you’ve ever gotten into the “zone” in athletic performance or, say, “out of your head” in a music jam, you’ll know whereof we speak. Others call it Zen. Formally, this discipline aims to quiet the logical mind, educate it to its proper function, so that it ceases to override and interfere with intuition.

The limit of logic is that it works from premises. Obviously, impeccable reasoning is of little value if one’s premises are flawed. But how are premises to be chosen… logically? But this then requires a new set of premises, meta-premises so to speak. And then… well, it’s easy to see how quickly this goes awry.

If you’ve looked at some of the pop-sci lit on quantum physics, you’ll know that “objective” Western science has discovered, ironically, that the world in fact is a subjective experience. As far back as the ’70s, books such as “the Tao of Physics” and “The Dancing Wu LI Masters” pointed out that science and Eastern mysticism had, in many ways, converged. The point here is that the old paradigms and models are not useful anymore. They have become limits. In essence, the more mental limits we relinquish, the better prepared we’ll be to participate in the amazing adventures that lie ahead.

Actually, I saw what, in fact, Unb posted. She asked about the nominal usage of a word, then she claimed to have been talking about matters of physical fact. I could care less about “what I see,” if Unb would have simply acknowledged that she mis-spoke then maybe intelligent discourse would have been possible. However, she chose to take the low road and refused to address the issues.

You have obviously read my posts because the second part of your comment above is one of the points that I stress.

Maybe you’ll have the honor of being refuted by me one of these days.

And to be perfectly honest, I haven’t seen very many trolls here who can engage in an intelligent discussion of the issues.

I skip right through Mr. Pee’s posts. I know that someone else will smack him around, so I wait and enjoy the responses.

Well-nigh unbelievable that, after all of this time on the list, our boy Mr Pee should still be confused as to unbelievable’s gender. This speaks to his cognitive shortcomings as clearly as his long record of off-the-mark comments and humorless japes.
