“Vice President Dick Cheney blocked the promotion of a Justice Department official involved in a bedside standoff over President Bush’s eavesdropping program, a Senate committee learned Wednesday.”
In a written account, former Deputy Attorney General James Comey said Cheney warned Attorney General Alberto Gonzales that he would oppose the promotion of a department official who once threatened to resign over the program.
Gonzales eventually decided against trying to promote Patrick Philbin to principal deputy solicitor general, Comey said.
“I understood that someone at the White House communicated to Attorney General Gonzales that the vice president would oppose the appointment if the attorney general pursued the matter,” Comey wrote. “The attorney general chose not to pursue it.” [...]
Philbin was one of two Justice Department officials who led a review of the classified program and provided some of the research that led Comey to refuse to endorse it, Comey said.

This is why some idiot at a conference on North Africa becan the entire event by repeatedly mentioning “radicalism” and “radicals” in the same breath as “terrorism”. The next step, now that they have established the “anything in the name of preventing terrorism” mindset, is to expand it to include more and more designations. So, today they are trumpeting that “radicals” should be lumped in with “the terrorists”. From there they will try to move, naturally, to “extreme leftists”, then to “leftists” then to “liberals”, then to anyone who advocates democracy, each time using the logic that these groups are somehow equal to “terrorists”. But who are the real terrorists? None other than the very same sociopathic extreme right-wing “conservatives” who conserve nothing but the profits they make from this morally repugnant premeditated programme of intentionally destructive scapegoating and crimes against America, the world and humanity.

If we keep cases open all over the world, then we do things at once for the military contractors. We keep boots on the ground which our country must pay contractors for goods and service for, and we keep pissing people off that would rather us get lost. America and every other nation has a right to defense, no one has any right to actively foment agression, killing, nuclear pollution, etc etc etc, most especially in a premeditated conspiracy to arrogate entirely illegitimate profit and power. This is what the shredding of our Constitution was designed to enable. Virtually every aspect of your life, far from being free, is controlled in minute detail by this criminal system. This is not theory, this is fact. Any American who believes we are living in a “free” “democracy” is simply fooling thermselves. The election in 2000 had to be stolen, as it was the only possible way to publicly “legitimate” “things” on the surface of events, which is all the intentionally dumbed-down populace looks at anyway. What do you think FOX news is all about? It not only pushes pure propaganda, but simultaneously serves the “purpose” of making everyone stupid, docile, racist and arrogant, constantly harping on “Law And Order”, “police”, “authorities”, rapes, murders, crimes etc. in a steady diet of fearpeddling garbage designed to control you.
Yet the globalist corporatist goons who own the media and push this agenda have never had the slightest regard for actual Law, except insofar as it may be subverted as a mechanism of control. This is known as barratry, and has been practiced to the degreee that it has supplanted actual law right down to the local dogcatcher in some towns. Ever wonder why you just never can seem to get ahead, or others get “breaks” that you never seem to find, or somehow unfortunate “occurances” keep “happening”? It’s not “bad luck”, it’s being created, and as many have pointed out, merely being paranoid does not in any way change the fact that they may very well indeed be out to get you. “Order” now thus derives not from morality or principle, but rather from money, which is the dictionary definition of fascism itself. Americans in actual fact elected Gore in 2000 and Kerry in 2004, but Baker and our Supreme Court, which had been stacked by 12 years of Regan/Bush I judges, really, really wanted to swing rightward after the peace and prosperity despite 8 years of tar and feathering Clinton, who nonetheless played his role too in this ubiquitous and ultimately inhuman process, and thus the GOP, which invariably has most actively pushed it at all times had to enact the bizarre media kabuki of the 2000 Election Theft, merely so that Americans would sit still for what the globalist cabal running the worldwide scam had already planned far in advance, including 9/11, as clearly shown by the PNAC report.
Each of these “events” are not disconnected, but rather pre-planned elements in a massive ongoing conspiracy. They include control of the weather, space sattelites, ideas preached through organized religion, vaccination, medical experimentation, mind control, and outrageously intrusive and illegal medical trends such as dental and “brainchip” radio implants. Everyone has every right to their own religious freedom, but religion like everything else is subverted by this deliberate process. Dick Cheney reminds me of Field Marshal Goering, but unlike Goering old Cheney never served a day in his life in the military. Their similarity is believing that war solves everything, but both of them overreached the reality of warfare.
Karl Rove is nefarious like Bormann, but Martin liked to stay in the shadows and never be seen in public. Joseph Goebbels liked the limelight and loved to stage manage Hitler on daily basis, so Rove is more like Goebbels.

Not only did this administration cook up propaganda to lead America into war, it deliberately suppressed factual assessments of the dangers that our troops would encounter. The Military, the State Department and the CIA had each clearly warned of the “harm’s way” our troops would encounter.
For political purposes these intelligence warnings were not only buried, they were actively shunned and ignored. This is criminal behavior which, with one hundred per cent certainty, led to troop’ deaths and maimings.
A Libby pardon would condone this establishment of a propaganda apparatus in the Executive branch. It would condone a conspiracy to provide false information to Congress. It would set free the sole conspirator who, of necessity had to lie, protect his boss and other executive branch participants.
A Libby pardon would condone the criminal opposite of ’supporting the troops’ that in fact Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Feith and others actively participated in making false pronouncements which resulted in American deaths.
