Last night, Fox News CEO Roger Ailes claimed at an awards show that “the candidates that can’t face Fox, can’t face Al Qaeda. And that’s what they have coming,” referring to the Democratic candidates who have chosen to not debate on Fox because they would be legitimizing a partisan platform. A Fox spokesman clarified the statement to TVNewser earlier today: “Mr. Ailes was repeating a comment made to him by many friends of his who are Democrats and are disappointed that their party is not currently debating on Fox.”

June 6th, 2007 at 10:40 pmMis-send, sorry.
June 6th, 2007 at 10:41 pmHmmmm… maybe he’s right… except… oh yeah… Failed to heed Clinton’s warning that al Qaeda was the nation’s most immediate threat, ignored hundreds of warnings from intelligence agencies around the globe, ordered FBI agents concerned about middle-easterners learning to fly but not to land to stand down, ran like a scared jackrabbit on the day of the strike, not turning up agian until days later, LET BIN LADEN GO AT TORA BORA and hasn’t bothered with him since while his organization grows and grows, and, oh yeah, attacked a nation that had nothing to do whatsoever with al Qaeda and 911. Yes, that’s one hell of a record to stand on, Roger.
June 6th, 2007 at 10:41 pmNEWS FLASH: Fox News CEO Roger Ailes is gay and an atheist. How do I know this ? Some Republicans who are friends of mine told me. Thus, this gotta be true!

June 6th, 2007 at 10:55 pmAiles sounds like a child who stamps his feet and threatens to hold his breath until he gets what he wants.
Democrats have been far too permissive in their dealings with Conservatives these last 30 years. In an interesting sense, Bush has given us all of the clues to how to beat him and Conservatives when he says things about Al Qaeda like, “They don’t respect us when we don’t stand up to them.” He’s talking about himself and his fellow Republican thugs. They are begging for attention, acknowledgment and acceptance. Acceptance as legitimate representatives of majority American thought.
They’re not the legitimate representatives of majority American thought, and what they represent is the worst of what America produces.
They are long overdue for “tough love” and adult parenting. And as all parents of cranky, overtired children know, it’s time Roger Ailes took a nap.
June 6th, 2007 at 10:58 pmZooey – I think even a Vogon would go into a seizure if forced to just listen to Ailes. Heh, at least you could trust a Vogon.
June 6th, 2007 at 10:58 pmI guess he’s part of the big happy democrat club – nice. I’m not sure what’s worse, that there’s democrats that can call Ailes a friend or vice versa.
Maybe by saying friend, he really means; “Oh yeah, I own a bunch of them democrats too. God, I almost forgot. Haha.”

June 6th, 2007 at 11:31 pmOff topic, but what the hell:
From antiwar.com:
The minister, himself an Iraqi Kurd, confirmed the Turkish military was increasing its presence near the border, but denied it was on the move.
“There has been Turkish build-up for some time, but it’s all been in their own territory, there hasn’t been any movement across the border,” he said.
In Turkey, Gul confirmed this, telling reporters: “There is no incursion into any other country at the moment. There is no such thing. If there ever is, we will tell you.”
But he warned that Ankara’s patience was not limitless.
“No one should forget that we are involved in a war on terror. We will not flinch from taking whatever action is necessary to eradicate terror… There are preparations in that respect,” he said.

Can you defend Ailes’ statement that Democrats are not capable of fighting terrorists simply because they refuse to participate in a Fox sponsored debate?
One of the definitions of “moron” is this: a person who is notably stupid or lacking in good judgment.
Ailes knew what reaction he would get in response to his accusations. His “excuse” listed at the top of this thread is laughable and pathetic. To suggest that there is a link between refusing to participate in a Fox-sponsored debate and one’s capacity to fight terrorism is also laughable. I think Ailes has displayed a lack of good judgement.
The same goes for the other Fox mouthpieces such as those proven liars, Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity, who regularly display a lack of good judgement whenever they open their mouths.

Roger Ailes has been a PARTISAN liar since the BEGINNING OF Foxnews, having worked for TRAITORS Reagan and Nixon.
Keith Olbermann, similarly to economist Paul Krugman, was a JOURNALIST, mostly in sports.
Both Olbermann and Krugman told the TRUTH about the Bush WAR CRIMINAL Corporation,
and since TRUTH is the ENEMY of these CRIMINALS,
Olbermann and Krugman became the enemy of the Bush administration and the right-wing PROPAGANDA machine (fox, rush)
Olbermann and Krugman tell the TRUTH backed with FACTS.
Foxnews tells lies and half-truths backed by INNUENDO.
Example: O’Dildo complaining the NYT did NOT carry the JFK scare on its FRONT PAGE. It DID, and O’Dildo HID the article from camera.
Foxnews: PURE LIES, fair and balanced…

Bill O’s recent lie about the New York Times report on the recent news of the foiled terrorist attack is proof enough. As is their “mistake” of showing John Conyers when reporting on William Jefferson and then offering yet another pathetic attempt at an excuse. We also have the fact that of all the available individuals who could have filled the position, the White House selected a seasoned Fox “reporter” as press secretary.
Given some time, I can also pull up more lies and propoganda as they relate to the Left/Liberals/Democrats by the idiots Sean Hannity and John Gibson.
Ailes’ is just wanting to ratchet up the Dems-are-weak-on-terror propoganda and the Dems’ snub of his network gives him the perfect opportunity. If he can scare a few percent of the public into being afraid of terrorists, all the better. His comical attempt to connect this snub to the “war” on terror is right in line with other attempts to suggest that we’ll all be overrun by terrorists if a Dem wins the White House. Cheney did it in the presidential campaign in 2004, Bush did it in the congressional campaigns in 2006, and Giuliani did it a few weeks ago in reference to the presidential campaign of 2008.
Funny, we are at 7 months past the Democratic wins in Congress and we haven’t been attacked yet.
June 7th, 2007 at 12:49 amI see you still haven’t grasped how to use the question mark–something you clearly failed to learn during the private education you so frequently boast of. 超阿呆ï¼

He thinks being homeschooled by a mother with an 80 IQ is a private education. And he must be from such a crappy shitkicker town that he doesn’t know there are excellent public schools out there.
June 7th, 2007 at 12:50 amKeith Olbermann does that, yet MSNBC isn’t boycotted.
Comment by m12 — June 7, 2007 @ 12:36 am
Olbermann isn’t the CEO of MSNBC, moron. Read my post again.
Besides, everything I posted is true.

“So tell your liberal friends, why are the dems afraid to explain to the FOX viewers what they would do differently to this country?”
Come On michael. Faux Noise viewers are like you. No one is afraid of you.
You are a sad, pathetic piece of troll crap, just like Ailes, who spouts talking points that defends the indefensible NeoCons and their agenda to pander to their global conglomerate Pimps, like Haliburton, Exxon-Mobil, GE, and the other war profiteers.
Ailes, like you, spends all his time trying to distract people from the issues that would help this country progress.
Appearing on Faux Noise is a waste of time. The 28%ers that tune in there are hopeless.
P.S. “…to this country?” No, michael troll, you got it WRONG AGAIN!
NeoCons do it TO this country. Progressives do it FOR their country.
UNDER THE BRIDGE, FAT, SLOBBERING TROLL.
Oh, sorry michael, I mistook you for Ailes, the liar. I get all you liars confused!
June 7th, 2007 at 12:59 amKeith Olberman is also not a habitual liar or a criminal.
Funny how the Republicans are stilling playing politics, when they are pretending to put down Bush.
They didn’t make a MISTAKE trusting Bush, they fostered his CRIMES all the way down the line.
Libby didn’t make a mistake. He covered up an act of treason for his co-conspirators. And Roger Ailes helped!
That whole gang is going to have to be punished for their crimes, WC, or you lot are heading for the flusher in a BIG way.
June 7th, 2007 at 1:01 am#113
Yeah, and? It’s still a biased network.
June 7th, 2007 at 1:03 am“Funny how the Republicans are stilling playing politics”
Sorry, I didn’t quite delete the phrase STILL F*KING AROUND playing politics.
I mean, you do grasp that it’s only a matter of time before most of the Republican party is going to be indicted for one of the scandalous criminal acts they have committed.
Relighting the pilot at Justice is going to be like pulling the cork out of the Elephant’s ass.
You do NOT want to stand to the rear of the GOP Elephant once the cork is out, believe me.
The rest of you should at least be ashamed. Roger Ailes should be in jail.
June 7th, 2007 at 1:16 amBush trolls are replying rather slow tonight. Their contact with Rove for guidence must not be working properly > lol.
June 7th, 2007 at 1:20 amWow. This troll michael has sure been spitting a hell of a lot of Gannon juice all over this thread. I wonder where he got it from. LOL.

“#113
Yeah, and? It’s (MSNBC’s) still a biased network.”
You’re FINALLY telling the truth m12! MSNBC IS a biased network. It is owned by GE, a bunch of war profiteers hiding behind the sham of a global conglomerate.
MSNBC has NeoCon clones Matthews, Scarborogh, Tucker, Abrams, and Williams on their biased network. They have currently replaced Imus with Scarborough.
In cowardly fear that Equal Time will come back when the current corrupt president is replaced, theGE criminals have thrown in a token progressive, Olbermann.
Matthews, that Reagan-sucking drone, had the indicted felon Tom, the Hammer-head, DeLay on for nearly 30 minutes Wednesday evening.
Yeah, m12, MSNBC really has a BAD liberal bias! You are SO full of sh*t, m12, you remind me of Roger Ailes, the fat, lying puke!
June 7th, 2007 at 1:25 amI’m reasonably sure that no one has mentioned this but…
Isn’t it strange that the guy placed Fox News and Al-Qaeda in the same sentence and compared them?
If the Democrats are truly against Al-Qaeda, then they should not bomb Fox?
June 7th, 2007 at 1:40 amYeah, and? It’s still a biased network.
Comment by m12 — June 7, 2007 @ 1:03 am
I asked you to show us where any other CEO of a major news organization made outrageous claims about another political party, namely Republicans. You failed.
I never said it was a biased network. Yet now that you bring it up, Chris Matthews can’t decide if he loves or hates the actions of Bush. One week he is licking Bush’s toes, the next week he is furious with him. Maybe that’s his idea of “fair and balanced” news coverage.

Just so there’s no confusion, I am referring to outrageous claims in the eyes of other Repubs.
June 7th, 2007 at 1:57 am#119 It’s a good thread and a good story. Fox’s leader just dropped his pants and showed his bias for all to see. They’re working hard to derail this one; the party that let bin Laden go tries to claim their superiority…
June 7th, 2007 at 2:03 amActually, I’m sure that Mr Ailes has many Democratic friends.
The only problem is they’re the Democrats from the Bizarro World.
June 7th, 2007 at 2:10 amAhhhhh…..
michael is the only troll I know who can kick his own ass — repeatedly.
Heh.
June 7th, 2007 at 2:11 amZooey > the trolls came in like a pack of wolves tonight, then they scampered off with their tails between their legs. They all vanished like Rove pulled them out for an attack elsewhere on some other blog site.
June 7th, 2007 at 2:22 amSince Ailes used the term friends, this would suggest that the number is greater than one, which probably means two. Must be James (”Mary’s Little Lamb”) Carville and Holy Roller Joe (Faux News probably still refers to him as a Democrat, for convenience sake).
On another note, it seems that many of Ailes’ buddies on the Repuke side of the aisle absolutely refuse to be interviewed on most progressive talk shows. Maybe if Roger gave them a pep talk, more of them would take the bait.
June 7th, 2007 at 3:57 amLIAR LIAR LIAR!
June 7th, 2007 at 6:26 amThe symbiosis between the political Right and al Qaeda is pretty scary. Consider:
1) The Republicans presided over the worst domestic terror attack in American history.
2) Under the Republicans’ watch, world terrorism has tripled and recruitment for al Qaeda has skyrocketed.
4) Osama bin Laden issues public statements timed and phrased to help the Republicans win elections.
3) Now Fox News is comparing itself with al Qaeda. What’s going on here?
June 7th, 2007 at 6:40 amthe truth hurts. democrats are cowards
June 7th, 2007 at 6:40 amHey Chris you are waisting your time calling these Demwits Cowards just makes them feel better about themselves .
June 7th, 2007 at 7:31 amPerry Logan you Demwit you are correct . 9 long months into Bushes first term we were attacked for the first and last time . would you care to discuss the 7 attacks against us during Blowjob Bill 8 yrs. in office ?
June 7th, 2007 at 7:36 amI find it funny that you can remember 1 but not the other 8 . I guess those 7 starting in 1993 were to get Bush Elected . Gosh You are a Silly Demwit
The Funny thing about Bill Clinton was with this Country being attacked 7 times in 8 years by radical Muslims the only Military action taken was defending the Muslims in Bosnia and attack ing a very dangerous Aspirin Factory and wiping out a Christian compound in Texas .
June 7th, 2007 at 7:49 amDemwits
June 7th, 2007 at 7:52 amWhat utter bullshit. A lie compunding a felony.
June 7th, 2007 at 8:13 amhey HeartlandLiberal what does “What utter bullshit. A lie compunding a felony ” pertain to ?
June 7th, 2007 at 8:16 amPerry Logan your number 2 statement is funny , are you a standup comedian ?
June 7th, 2007 at 8:21 amWhy did John Ashcroft always refuse to be interviewed by print journalists? Why do you never see Dick Cheney on CNN or CBS and frequently on Meet the Press? These folks go where they think they can have their message framed the best. For Democrats, that forum would not be Faux News. Perhaps we should start thinking that Cheney can’t face Al Quaeda because he can’t face Wolf Blitzer or Bob Schieffer.
June 7th, 2007 at 8:39 amThe “suck” stops here, again.
June 7th, 2007 at 8:46 amHey Chris you are waisting your time calling these Demwits Cowards just makes them feel better about themselves .
Comment by Harry Truman
Scared little troll, hiding behind a dead president’s name, calling others cowards.
June 7th, 2007 at 8:58 amToo dumb to see the irony I suppose.
The “clarification” sounds like one of the biggest ‘lil loads of BS I’ve heard in a while.
June 7th, 2007 at 9:06 amFirst of all, I doubt that Ailes has many friends who are Democrats and second, I doubt that any Democrat would tell him what he is claiming. Typical Republic response. You get caught doing something wrong and rather than acting like an adult and taking responsibility for your actions, you blame it on someone else.
I have friends who are Republics and I have to tell you, they are deeply ashamed of what their party has become and most of them are saying that they will not be voting Republic again until their party returns to the values they hold.
June 7th, 2007 at 9:18 amA. No Democrat would ever say this. B. Is he trying to say that Fox and al Queda have something in common?
June 7th, 2007 at 10:14 amRepublicants who live in their fantasies can’t tell the difference between fact and fiction, reality and bullshit…So don’t expect anything close to truth from the lying fauxshit channel….
June 7th, 2007 at 10:18 amMichael….you need a cranial enema to cleanse you of all that rightwing crap you spew….after your brain cleaning I am sure you will feel much better and stop being such an obnoxious little shittroll (how much does Rove pay you? Or do you just take payment in prostate massages?)
June 7th, 2007 at 10:23 amSuuuuuuuuuuure he was.
I don’t know about any of you, but I’m completely convinced by that explanation.
I don’t think he’s a fat lying piece of shit at all.
June 7th, 2007 at 11:15 am“The candidates that can’t face Fox News can’t face Al Qaeda.”
Well said. The amazing thing is that there are actually some people in this country who believe that there are Democrat candidates who can face Islamic terrorists in the first place.
June 7th, 2007 at 12:16 pmWho would want to legitimize FAUX NOISE, by appearing there as a “serious” candidate???
June 7th, 2007 at 12:17 pmHmm, sure sounds like the old “Some of my best friends are black/Jewish/gay/etc.” line, huh?
June 7th, 2007 at 12:25 pmSewage Effluent Methane Gas From the Gasbag CEO of a Gasbag Media company & Empire, Making Predictable & Fully Expected Idiotic Vitriol. Funny how having so much money will give you Faux “Legitimacy” even when you’ve not had to actually think for 20 years…. You Know, Sh*t allways rises to the Top, and this is one othe Biggiest T*rds ever.
June 7th, 2007 at 2:08 pmOne of the lying, deluded, racist, mean-spirited, 28%er trolls has change aliases to “Harry Truman.”
Can anyone guess who that might be? I’m guessing Jake-off, but “Harry Truman’s” comments seem even more deranged and disingenuous than Jake-off (if that were possible!)!
UNDER THE BRIDGE, NASTY TROLL “harry truman,” who by any other name would still STINK to HIGH HEAVEN!
Even the Fat, Perverted, Criminal, Racist Ailes, THE TOPIC OF THIS THREAD, has to stretch to lie as much as these trolls!
June 7th, 2007 at 2:24 pmYeah, whatever.
For one : I don’t think Ailes has ANY friends who are Democrats.
Two : If any Democrats are upset about the debate they are probably Blue Dog Democrats who Progressives view as traitors anyway so who cares.
June 7th, 2007 at 3:34 pmRemember me folks, I cut and ran from Beruit oh, wait, I wasn’t supposed to recall that! I know we are failures, but us republicans own the airwaves so we’ll keep feeding you all our “american”(nationalist) values! It maybe hard for you to ignore our failures on 911 and New Orleans and Iraq and North Korea and Iran and.. Oh never mind! If you look past our failure to defend America, you will see that we are the “protectors”. Ok, so remember, stats bad! Republican BS good! 3,000 Americans dead (most from terrorist attack in nations history) is fiction, Fox news is reality! Now be a patriot and keep your mouth shut!
June 7th, 2007 at 9:25 pmMichael, stop getting your tonsils massaged by Fat Bastard Ailes already. It’s hard enough to understand you without Roger’s fallis in your mouth.
June 8th, 2007 at 12:31 amYes please identify some names of these Democratic Party friends that are bothered Dems are not on FOX.??
I am actually enlightened with pleasure that FOX is realizing they are not that powerful and can be left out. It is hurting FOX’s rating and its profits.
Ailes really wants that Democratic party money. Makes it tougher for FOX to be worse. I can’t imagine FOX cleaning up their immature act and disinfo spewing. It is dishonorable to the american people, to the country, and creates ill informed electorates. FOX does intentionally tamper with elections.
