On last night’s edition of ABC World New Tonight, host Charles Gibson took a moment to note “a sad milestone in Iraq,” as the announcement of 6 more U.S. casualties in Iraq yesterday, racheted the total toll of the war to 3,500 troops who have died in Iraq since the war began. Watch it:

As of this morning, the number of U.S. deaths is 3,503.
