In his Senate testimony Tuesday, DoJ official Bradley Schlozman said at least nine times that he had “acted at the direction” of the Department’s Public Integrity Section when he controversially strayed from Department policy and brought indictments against a voter registration group a week before the 2006 mid-term election. Now, Schlozman may be seeking to revise that assertion, claiming “that he consulted with the section and was given guidance, not direction.”
“I mistalked.”
June 8th, 2007 at 7:27 pmthat’s a generous word.
June 8th, 2007 at 7:32 pmor to put it more bluntly, he f*ckin’ lied.

June 8th, 2007 at 7:34 pmAnd he’s admitting it. I’m sorry, is there such a thing as being able to wipe away perjury after the fact? Nail the bastard.
June 8th, 2007 at 7:35 pmNeo-cons have become the grand masters of hair-spiting. You gotta love ‘em for that. That “comin’ †from the “gut,†alright.
June 8th, 2007 at 7:35 pmDirection means someone else is to blame. Guidance? Not as much. And yes, that was a weaselly lie.
June 8th, 2007 at 7:36 pmConcernTroll 3050 Reports:
Democrats should not pursue this. He obviously misspoke and it will make Democrats look vindictive if they go after him too hard.
I’m just concerned about how the Democrats will look, that’s all.
June 8th, 2007 at 7:37 pmYou just have to assume at some point here, that everything that anybody in this administration (if you can call it that) is a outright lie or misdirection of some sort.
They have told so many lies, that it is probably getting pretty hard for the oversite committee to keep track of them all.
IGNORE THE TROLLS – Debate good – Troll bad
June 8th, 2007 at 7:39 pmExcuse me. He can take the “test” again after failing! No way. What kind of justice is this!?

This is great news for the Republicans!
This will lead to the President’s poll numbers rebounding.
People see President Bush as Someone They Want to Have a (Non-Alcoholic) Beer Withâ„¢. Bradly Schlozman is the same way, only Jewish.
June 8th, 2007 at 7:40 pmConcern about looking vindictive?
Yes, I want Democrats to be as vindictive as possible…is there a stronger word to express the desire to totally and completely, without any qualms and with completely justification throttle these guys to within on inch of their lives…vindictive is too nice a term for these vermin…
June 8th, 2007 at 7:48 pm“that he consulted with the section and was given guidance, not direction.â€
If he’s claiming guidance only, and not direction, he’s saying it was more his choice. Who’s he protecting, or who’s been threatening Bradley?
June 8th, 2007 at 7:54 pmSorry guy. You don’t get “do overs” when you are testifying in front of Congress. What a bunch of stooges these guys are.
June 8th, 2007 at 7:57 pmHe made a very definitive statement about Donsanto giving him the go-ahead. Schumer stated, “He will explicity say he ordered you to do it or told you it was ok to do it.” Schlozman, “That is correct.”
When he made that statement, it was obvious to anyone watching it was a lie, and Schumer knew it was a lie. A subsequent look at an email exchange shows Donsanto, the author of the red book, would never have given such a directive or guidance, which was explicitly counter to his own guidelines. Schlozman got caught in a red hot lie, and now he needs to “clarify.” I’m sure Donsanto had a lot to say about that.
Now, what’s with this do-over crap?
June 8th, 2007 at 8:08 pmSchlotzy needs to “revise” his lies?
Uh huh….
June 8th, 2007 at 8:27 pmHis next televised appearance before the Judiciary Committee will be entitled:
June 8th, 2007 at 9:02 pm“Lets Make A Deal…..”
Schlozman must be forced to resign > PERIOD.
June 8th, 2007 at 9:03 pmHow does that work? You give testimony, under oath.
June 8th, 2007 at 10:18 pmThen come back and “revise” it?
Isn’t that also known as perjury?
Ja, poor Schlotzie….
He izz in SUCH trrrrouble!
