Another problem is that what America badly needs to hear about more than another breaking story about Paris’ bad hair day, is that “the law” and “the government” are more important than any encumbent officer or administration. Mr. Bush, of course, doesn’t believe that and would never say it. But it needs to be said.

Another problem on Shrub’s full plate of them, is that if he fires Doan, he’d have to do the same to dozens of other officials. Since Shrub (ie, a Lil’ Bush) hates being told what to do (”No! Mom I won’t clean my room!”) more than he hates the law (because it tells adults what to do), he can be counted on to find a reason to deep six the Doan report in KKKarls’ circular file. Good thing there’ll be plenty of other copies about for us to read.

I agree completely with you here, and a LOT more of BushCo should follow Libby to the courthouse. But I’m sure you can interpret how these things are actually playing out just as well as I can.

I think that like Libby, there will probably be a couple of people, Doan being the best choice right now, that will have to take a fall, so the big fish don’t have to. But how much will they reveal in the process? Do you think that there are any in the Whitehouse who will pay for their crimes? Here’s three words for you; no confidence vote.

Fully informed, America, like those of us who haunt TP, would ensure that these things (Iraq, the systematic takeover of our goverment, Lorita Doan, etc) wouldn’t happen.

I’m not sure how it could happen, but what I would like to see is an America who demands more from congress, and especially more from the main stream media, to do more on our behalf to keep us informed of the truth.

So far, the vast majority of real news has been coming from blogs like Think Progress, and Huffington. TV, it’s been all Obermann. During the 2006 election I could see people around me talking about the war in Iraq, and a LOT of what people were talking about, was news being reported on by this, and other blogs. I believe it was this flow of news, starting on the internet, then being ‘transmitted’ by people informing other people directly, that caused there to be such a change in the makeupof congress (not the behavior we’re finding out now).

Since the main stream media has abandoned their watchdog roll, in favor of ratings and profits, I doubt things are going to change much.

and tell Ms. Pelosi to put impeachment back on the table. She doesn’t need to immediately use it, but at least she can put it on the table. As long as she doesn’t she is letting the Republics know that they can violate the law with no consequences.

“Redacted” transcripts. No, don’t tell me, the transcripts contained classified information that would aid our enemies if they knew what was in them. For gods sake, this is the GSA, not the Pentagon. Why does Congress allow the Bush Administration to provide them with evidence that is heavily redacted.

Also, hopefully Ms. Doan will be charged with perjury for her many lies in her testimony and for violating the Hatch Act. Just losing her job is not enough punishment. If we don’t prosecute these people and throw them in jail, we are telling any future administration that they are free to violate the law and not suffer any consequences for doing so.

Woe, we all know what “heckuv job” does for a Bushite career. Yepper, off to Cupcake prison with her. Since she won’t have to face the gallows, I don’t want to hear any troll whining about her violating the law.

“Bowtie Tucks” (and he probably uses them with regularity) is the quintessential Repuke Sphincter Muscle – that’s the more accurate moniker for this fool.

I haven’t suddenly gone all daft, you know.

She said “One more cracker statement from you big papa and I am not gonna back TP.”

Ok, one she attacked big papa. Next, she called cracker on a statement that was not in the least racist. The kicker was she claimed she wouldn’t back TP if he said something similar in the future. The first two I could buy. She messed up and read something wrong. The third is plain trollery. She was setting the table for her attack.
