“Newt Gingrich has promoted public policy positions that closely track the financial interests of companies that underwrite a think tank he founded,” an AP investigation has found. The Center for Health Transformation, part of “an elaborate consulting and communications empire” Gingrich has built since leaving Congress, offers views on health policy. “Rarely does Gingrich acknowledge his opinions would benefit the drug makers, insurers and others who each pay the center up to $200,000 annually.”
Offtopic, but what the hell happened to the Thinkfast thread?
Should I bother responding to this thread, or will it be going bye-bye too???
June 11th, 2007 at 10:03 amAnd we should be surprised by this because……………..???
The Newter is one of the most slimy and hypocritical people ever to come out of the Repug sewer (along with Tommy Delay), so this is hardly newsworthy.

There were actually more progressives saying intelligent things on that thread than wind-up trolls blathering insanely and incessantly about nonsense too…
June 11th, 2007 at 10:08 amGinRick is a big wheel in his own mind. Why people pay much attentiom to this self importan ginderbag of fake family values and sophmoric big ideas is the mystery. Oh yes, its the money used for promo.
June 11th, 2007 at 10:08 amAnyone shocked by the level of overt hypocrisy in anything Newt does or has ever done??
June 11th, 2007 at 10:11 amSURPRISE!!!
June 11th, 2007 at 10:14 amSorry, Tripmaster — we’re working through the kinks after this server switch over the weekend. Thanks for hanging with us.

June 11th, 2007 at 10:15 amSorry there big fella, forgot to tell you to empty the ashes out of the burn barrel before you filled it with water and dropped me in….
June 11th, 2007 at 10:19 amGuess I thought you would have known about that… ready for another brewski? It might help wash that burning sensation away…
Gingrich’s “humptank”. Well, different thread.

Sorry, big fella stalker, it looks as if none of your sentence is in any way coherent.
June 11th, 2007 at 10:28 amThe Newt Grinch has become popular again, even though he’s spewing the same old recycled trash, because the Rightards don’t have anyone else capable of even talking.
The Grinch claims to be an American History ‘expert’, but routinely screws up fact w/ fiction. This is the man responsible for the failed ‘Contract with America’, was screwing someone other than his wife while shouting about Clinton’s infidelity and is most likely a closet transvestite.
Yeah, sure, Newtie, we’re all very impressed.
June 11th, 2007 at 10:29 am/sarcasm
Gingrich is a filthy greedy khazer.
June 11th, 2007 at 10:29 amAnd this is news to whom? Most think tanks, particularly influential ones such as AEI, Heritage, and Cato, exist for the purpose of disseminating highly biased political tracts masquerading as objective research, always in support of the ideological views and financial needs of their corporate backers.

What do you expect for taping all those AA batteries together, trying to come up with enough amps to run my sophisticated circuitry and high powered weed proof propellor?
June 11th, 2007 at 10:37 amIn the Grinch’s case, it’s a ‘Stink Tank’.
Perverted little pol, this one.
Anytime he opens his mouth he expects others to say, ‘Wow’! You’re really smart’.
I say, STFU, you little reptile. Your tired revisionism isn’t being swallowed anymore.
Go ahead, Newtie, run! We’ll carve you up like the proverbial Turkey you are.

Sorry, pal. You never existed before my revolutionary development. I ought to hand your plastic crap over to a couple of angry kids with a hammer.
June 11th, 2007 at 10:42 amThe ‘Contract with America’ never failed. It delivered roaring congressional majorities and passed new legislation quicker than Nancy’s agenda did. It was what helped Clinton’s presidency mean anything – especially on the welfare reform and economic front.
June 11th, 2007 at 10:45 amNoot Humprich.
June 11th, 2007 at 10:47 amNewt is an insane womanizer. I hate womanizers. Every man should stay married to the first one until the day s/he dies.
Go to hell, Nooty!
June 11th, 2007 at 10:49 amThat’s “Contract ON America”… how can your memories be so short?

That amounts to a life sentence, in many cases.
Hate the “womanizer,” but don’t punish the victim.
June 11th, 2007 at 10:53 amThis despicable salamander once again winds up in slime.
Who coulda predicted it?
Ok to put your hands down now.

TP should do threads about Newt when he’s NOT immersed in slime. There would certainly be very few of them. :)

June 11th, 2007 at 11:03 am“Think tanks” are just advertising firms. The trot out guys with degrees (but rarely any publications) and pay them to say whatever will benefit their owners.
Nothing but advertising. Newt is just one whore among many.

June 11th, 2007 at 11:17 amMy favorite Stink Tank is the American Enterprise Institute.
Where the Hell do they get these names? Is this what they’re paid to think about?
AEI has done more damage than people realize. Kagan, et al, have somehow convinced others they’re legitimate. They have time on C-Span, as if they were elected or something, and they regularly comment on political matters by networks. (Or would that be Newtworks?)
Heavily subsidized by big oil, AEI continues to be treated with respect by the media. They have staffers who ‘resigned to spend more time with the family’, ex-pols, burned out corporate types, etc.
It’s time AEI had some light pumped into it.

Please explain in detail how hating womanizers is being “misogynistic.”
You keep using that word. I don’t think that word means what you think it means. Just like your other meaningless _______ist shots.
Thanks in advance for your response, Libetroll.

and, oh, to the best of my recollection, it’s only the second or third time I’ve used the “m” word in a far longer time span than you have been around here….
(Is there something about that word that pushes a button, or is it just that you are so obnoxious that you don’t have a snowballs chance in hell of ever having a relationship with a woman, much less being a womanizer?)
Libetrolling mania in here!
June 11th, 2007 at 11:37 amNewt the Toad.

Project much? Nope, just pointing out your sheer stupidity. You don’t have to overthink it. And no, you have no merit to pat yourself on the back.
I see that someone’s chance at having a woman or getting married rests on having loony-left views. You’re quite braindead. Project much (x435)?
Plenty of conservative men marry great women and have great families, stupit and lucrative careers, then you seem to tax them to death out of sheer jealousy. Then again, one half of your brain is completely vacant.
Womanizing is an insult and it is a division of sexism, one conveniently left out by the libbies only because Clinton the democrap did it. If GHW Bush did it or Dole did it, you’d be calling Womanizing what it is – sexism.
Run along, little goofy kid.
June 11th, 2007 at 11:46 amNewt is a dried prune of the Republican party.
June 11th, 2007 at 11:53 am“…stupit and lucrative careers….”
(that’s what I was guessing……)
“Then again, one half of your brain is completely vacant.”
(that would be the right side, and yes, now you’ll launch off into the left side/right side brain control over opposing sides of the physical body issue, but I’m not interested in wasting to much more time responding to your inane spewings, so you’ll pardon me while I go do the dishes and fold the laundry…..)
