While Bill Clinton may or may not have done all he could to capture Osama Bin Ladin, he did leave George W. Bush with some very firm information regarding the status of Al Qaeda including the seriousness of the threat of an attack on the United States. I accurately predicted that George W. Bush would go to war in Iraq back in October of 2000 (before the election) and that the war would be a disaster. I also predicted the events of 9/11 in January of 2001 after Bush took the “oath” of office. The method and targets were obvious to me based on simple consideration of public information. The fact that I guessed the correct date still mystifies me but it is not the first time I’ve done this. I tried to figure out who to warn about the impending attack and was particularly upset that George W. Bush decided to go on vacation for most of August 2001 when he knew (or should have known) based on memos and itelligence that an attack was due any time. I even considered flying to New York to try to get people to NOT go into the World Trade Center on 9/11. I considered calling in a bomb threat. I thought of a lot of things, but none that would have done any good. George W. Bush is a pathetic loser who has put this country in grave jeopardy. There has been little to no real progress to improve national security since 9/11. Homeland Security is a joke. The people in charge are spending millions in taxpayer money doing dumb ineffective things and taking trips to tropical resorts for “meetings.” Whether or not Bill Clinton did the right thing, George W. Bush is certainly doing the wrong thing.

During a media availability Tuesday at the White House, President George W. Bush was asked if the Clinton charges were factually accurate. He replied to the question, saying, “We’ll let history judge all the different finger-pointing and all that business. I don’t have enough time to finger-point.”

Given a golden opportunity to respond to Clinton, Bush couldn’t even lay out the things his administration did. You know, like a laundry list of the actions his administration did to fight and prevent terrorism from the first day he took office.

Instead, he hid behind the lame-ass excuse of “finger pointing.”

Well, the fact is Clinton did far less than Bush to eradicate Muslim Shiteating â„¢ Terrorists. But he was not completely passive, after all Osama B. Ladinâ€™s Declaration of Jihad Against the Infidels (thatâ€™s us folks) lists Clinton by name.

“What we did in the eight months was at least as aggressive as what the Clinton administration did in the preceding years,” Rice said during a meeting with editors and reporters at the New York Post.

You can find this on MSNBC.

Therefore, if Clinton didn’t do squat on terrorism during his term, neither did Bush.

Good point Joe, we’ve gone from the 90’s boom and electing a “CEO” President whose only CEO credits were all failures to now propping up a “Terrorism” president whose only credit is that he’s a victim of terrorism. If that’s our criteria though just think how good he’ll be for restoring family values!

I like the idea of pulling names out of a hat as was mentioned above much better than electing the best ad campaign.

This is not news. Rudy Giuliani has already stated that he doesn’t blame people for not getting that the terrorists had declared war on us (Including Clinton). He said that 9-11 should have opened people’s eyes though and that if that didn’t convince them, then nothing will.

What a difference a run for the Presidency makes. You take fairly intelligent people and have them run for the Presidency and all of a sudden they will say anything that people want to hear. It’s very scary. I once read a science fiction book about a society (after we had practically annihilated ourselves) that chose their ruler by putting the names in a hat of every adult over a certain page with an IQ of over a certain level. Then they pulled out a name and that was their new leader. Makes about as much sense as how we choose our leaders.
