Griffin ‘chokes up’ recalling time as U.S. attorney.

Speaking publicly for the first time about his time as U.S. attorney, Karl Rove-protege Tim Griffin said today that public service is “not worth it” and that “his experience as U.S. attorney had not been worth the criticism he and his wife have endured.” Griffin reportedly “became emotional several times, choking up as he detailed his political and legal career.”

Geez, if he could just convince bumscag Alberto that public service isn’t worth it, he could make a real contribution to America.

You spit on the face of every patriotic American and every solider who served and/or died for the Constitution.

    Have fun in Federal Jail.

Being a criminal is a tough business, Griffin. Shouldn’t have taken it on so eagerly if you couldn’t handle it.

“Karl Rove-protege Tim Griffin said today that public service is ‘not worth it’ ”

In other words, “not worth it” if he has to play by the rules and follow the law.

Where’s the political gain in THAT ?

  23. Arthur C. says:

What does that bootlicker Tim Griffin know about public service? He thinks “public service” means raping the Justice Dep’t on the orders of a political boss.

    What a pathetic crybaby.

  24. Griffin says:

It’s so hard..it’s so hard being a sleazebag corrupt lawyer these days. With Bloggers catching you at every turn. It used to be, before the internet became popular, that us corrupt sleazebags could do anything and laugh at you , the public, for how much of a sheep you were.

    Now, it’s so hard..so hard…

You so funny! If only you COULD trademark the most popular neocon argument, they’d have to think up another one!

  32. nofltwlt says:

It was tough for Griffin because he is not USA material and should never have been appointed to the position of USA. If he wants to blame someone else for his own stupidity and lack of qualification he should blame Karl Rove.

All of these neocon no-good-nics are just bawling all over the place – weak sisters, every one of them.

  33. dlet says:

Griffin reportedly “became emotional several times, choking up as he detailed his political and legal career.”

I am sure that will sit well in the minds of people he will be seeking employment with. “Hmm…we are a respected law firm that needs cool, calm and hard-nosed attorneys. Wait….he did what on camera? Um..let’s look at the next one.”

  34. DallasNE says:

Excuse me but Griffin was more than happy to run the caging operation to disenfranchise mostly black Democrats. And in a large measure because of this work he now complains that public service in “not worth it”. Wait a second, just who made it not worthwhile. Obviously, like Libby, he didn’t expect to get caught. Accountability is a bitch.

  35. Spudge_Boy says:

What the fu*k is with all of these big blubbering pu$$ies? They pretend to be some big and tough and then they cry anytime somebody says boo.

    Crying Game by Boy George

I know all there is to know about the crying game
I’ve had my share of the crying game
First there are kisses, then there are sighs
And then before you know where you are
    You’re sayin’ goodbye
One day soon I’m gonna tell the moon about the crying game
And if he knows maybe he’ll explain
Why there are heartaches, why there are tears
And what to do to stop feeling blue
    When love disappears

I know all there is to know about the crying game
I’ve had my share of the crying game
First there are kisses, then there are sighs
And then before you know where you are
    You’re sayin’ goodbye

Don’t want no more of the crying game
Don’t want no more of the crying game
Don’t want no more of the crying game

    “IGNORE THE TROLLS CLUB.”

    Good idea, guys!!
Why not take this list you started and expand it to include the rest not listed yet, and also as Trolls change their “handle.” Then automatically (cut & paste) post it on every thread on TP about, say, every 25 posts. All of us anti troll folks can post it if we see it hasn’t been posted in a while. Especially on troll heavy threads. “Members” can add their names as they wish forswearing communication with the trolls. Repetition is the name of the game! (Put the word “Reminder” on top in bold)

What do you think folks? Shall we band together formally? If I don’t hear from anyone I will begin to post it anyway.

    IGNORE THE TROLLS CLUB
    Members:
Buck Fush, JPV, Merlin, Mr. President

    Don’t Read A Trolls Post

Don’t Respond To A Trolls Post

    Oppo Man On the Attack
The GOP’s Tim Griffin, Slamming the Democrats
    By Howard Kurtz
    Washington Post Staff Writer
    Sunday, February 16, 2003; Page F01

If you read political news stories or watch political talk shows, chances are you’ve come across Tim Griffin’s handiwork.

He funnels facts to thousands of journalists, from Tim Russert and Sam Donaldson to the nation’s top newspaper reporters, all of which casts persons of the Democratic persuasion in the harshest possible light.

Griffin works the oppo beat for the Republican National Committee, but he’s not some shadowy operative whispering shady tips over the phone. As the man in charge of investigating the opposition, the research chief blasts his findings to the entire press corps in mass e-mailings, then sits back and watches the negative stuff spread like a computer virus. When Joe Lieberman, John Kerry, John Edwards and Howard Dean announced their presidential candidacies, Griffin and his staff flooded media in-boxes with derogatory information.

  56. Charlotte says:

So I see by the Arkansas article, “public service isn’t worth it” and Tim Griffin still will make his home in Little Rock AR. This is more the the workings of Fred Thompson than the unpleasant pressure of indignant voters. I’ve hired and managed enough people to know that crying publicly because hurt feelings is either manipulitive or shame from guilt. When you’ve really been wronged, you demand more investigation–not less!

  62. faith says:

What is the matter with these republican babies? Griffen, Bohner, all of them tearing up. What about the thousands and thousands of young men and women who will go through the rest of their lives missing multiple limbs because these republican babies (who whine and cry about their jobs being questioned..) support this obtuse president and his worse than obtuse staff. The republican party is solely responsible for the carnage, the deaths, the maimed of this Iraq/Afghanistan war. This illicit, illegal preemptive fight that they engaged all of America into. The republican friends are getting rich. Rich off the blood of our soldiers who bear the entire burden of this tainted war. I don’t want to hear another republican whine about how tough his life is. He/she need to go visit the vet hospitals on a regular basis and get a grip and a reality check.

Hey Griffin, F*** YOU pally! I have been in federal public service for over 20 years, and let me tell you something, you couldn’t hold a candle to what the public service people provide, put up with and just gernerally carry day. All the bullshit we hear in the trenches while all the time carying out the mission of our individual agencies.
    I know public servants
    Public servants are my friends
    Public servants are my co-workers
    Public servants are my family
And you sir are NO PUBLIC SERVANT

  65. Kiki says:

Amen, Iggy. I’m a civil servant myself and work my ass off to help the people of this great country, NOT the Republican party and this criminal administration.

You’re absolutely right. This crowd (Bushies) whines and complains about how evil government is, but when they finally steal the chance to run it, they screw it up so badly because, when you get right down to it, they have no clue whatsoever what the purpose of government is supposed to be. (Hint: Serving the people who pay your salary, for one thing.) They think its purpose is to enrich your friends on the people’s dime. They really do.
