Snow: President Bush Is ‘On The Frontlines’ Of The Iraq War ‘Every Day’»

In today’s White House press briefing, reporter Helen Thomas asked Tony Snow if there are “any members of the Bush family or this administration in this war.” Stunningly, Snow claimed that President Bush is actually on the “frontlines” of the war in Iraq:

Q: Are there any members of the Bush family or this administration in this war?

SNOW: Yeah, the President. The President is in the war every day.

Q: Come on, that isn’t my question –

SNOW: Well, no, if you ask any president who is a commander in chief –

Q: On the frontlines, where ever…

SNOW: The President.

In reality, Bush and his administration have repeatedly shown they are deeply out of touch with the sacrifices and the fighting by U.S. troops and their families. Bush himself acknowledged his detachment during a press conference in February:

I can only tell you what people on the ground, whose judgment — it’s hard for me, living in this beautiful White House, to give you an assessment, firsthand assessment. I haven’t been there; you have, I haven’t.

In April, First Lady Laura Bush tried to claim that “no one suffers more than their President and I do.” When asked by PBS’s Jim Lehrer why he hasn’t called on more Americans to sacrifice for the war, Bush claimed that Americans have had to “sacrifice peace of mind when they see the terrible image of violence on TV every night.”

Digg It!

Oh, pulleeeeze. The AWOL faux pilot couldn’t handle ten seconds of real combat without crapping his panties.

    In the real war today…

a U.S. soldier said a dozen rockets or mortars rained down on Baghdad’s heavily guarded Green Zone on Thursday afternoon. At least one fell outside Iraq’s parliament, about 25 minutes before the U.S. State Department’s No. 2 official was to visit a nearby American military building.

The war will be over in a matter of minutes if not sooner.

  11. COMMENT BY JIM Says:

Bush orders the beggining of the war. The war lasts longer than expected, then in the backlash—–

Dems win control of congress vowing to stop the war.

Dems could have sat on their hands and done NOTHING in terms of sending a war spending bill to the President and put an end to the war.

    INSTEAD:

Dems play games with the MSM for two months and end up FUNDING THE FREAKING WAR!!!!!!!!! Now, Republicans and democrats have blood on their hands. Everyone on hear who helped the Dems take control of Congress now has blood on their hands. Enjoy it folks. YOU helped continue the war. YOU should be proud………

  12. Rebel in CA Says:

Snowjob probably meant Shrub has a video game named “Operation Freedom” and he plays it daily while Uncle Dick runs the country his way.

    COMMENT BY JIM,

“Dems play games with the MSM for two months and end up FUNDING THE FREAKING WAR!!!!!!!!! Now, Republicans and democrats have blood on their hands.”

While I understand your sentiment here, it is important to remember that barely a thrid of all Dems voted for that funding bill

  14. spit take Says:

Is it possible that the whole motivation behind this war was to give Chimpy the illusion of actually having “served” in combat?

Nah… that would require that he feel some shame about his cowardly behavior during Vietnam. I’m convinced Chimpy has no capacity to feel shame.

  15. COMMENT BY JIM Says:

    Crump’s Brother,

Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, the elected leaders of the Democrats in Congress who were elected by the rank and file Democrat Congress men and women SUPPORTED THE SPENDING BILL!!!!!!!!!!! Total flip flop from THEIR campaign promises. And, as a result now share in being responsible for the death and destruction that is happening in Iraq daily.

  16. Vance Says:

    Almost no one deserves cancer…

  17. Spudge_Boy Says:

Everyone on hear who helped the Dems take control of Congress now has blood on their hands. Enjoy it folks. YOU helped continue the war. YOU should be proud………

    Comment by COMMENT BY JIM — June 14, 2007 @ 1:29 pm

Yeah because the Dems in Congress did exactly what we told them to.

    Are you a moron?

    Nice spin.

  18. Erroll Says:

Snow’s comment is nothing short of outrageous. There is a photo that was taken in the White House during Christmas of the entire Bush clan, over forty members of that family in that photo but, despite what Snow is trying to infer, not one member of his family, or Cheney’s family, is fighting for their war in Iraq. Bush has called for sacrifice in the past but apparently that word does not extend to members of his family sacrificing in Iraq. I have received in the mail a button which is very relevant to this topic which proclaims: “Draft the rich- It’s their war.”

  19. Spudge_Boy Says:

The reason for the Iraq war was not to take the Iraqis oil. The purpose was to get the Iraqi oil off the market, so Exxon could raise prices.

  20. veritas Says:

Omnipresent?? Bush?? Give me a break here! A “magician” this guy’s not….”on the frontlines”….?? Only from the idiotic mouth of Tony Snow!

It’s clear that the chemotherapy has decreased Snow’s number of active brain cells. Now we know the truth! Either that or his cancer has mets to his brain!

  21. Kay Says:

    except Bush and Cheney…

  22. veritas Says:

Could snow possibly be saying this about Draftdodger/AWOL Nat. Guard George W?? Surely, he jests…..LMAO!

  23. Zooey Says:

Snowflake just delivered an HUGE slap in the face to every single man and woman in the military — and their families.

    Simply unbelievable….

  24. veritas Says:

#18 Jimbo/Dumbo: You’ve got 5 years of the war on your hands, criminal!

  25. COMMENT BY JIM Says:

    Spudge Boy

I’m the moron? Or are you the moron because you believed the Democrats when they vowed to end the war when elected?

I’m not spinning, I’m just pointing out the lying and BS that is coming out of Washington.

  26. veritas Says:

Now we can be certain that nothing coming from Snowjob’s mouth is authentic - the cancer has definitely metastisized to his brain.

  29. veritas Says:

Jimbo: It’s time you get something straight here. Although posters enjoy the latitude of intelligent debate, the one thing which (other than the idiotic trolls) is patently clear here on these threads - that is the factual data upon which we base our rejection of the corrupt Republican Party. That data is accurate and uncontrovertible. The fact that we may be disappointed that the Dems aren’t tough enough (because they’re not the seasoned criminals which the GOP happens to be) does not mean that we support any premise of this absolutely and totally corrupt, necrotic Republican base OR the maniacal, criminal actions of the Bush Cabal….if you’re looking for support for Bush here, you’re blogging on the wrong threads, dude. Do yourself one heap, big favor and “hit the road”.

  30. veritas Says:

    Hi Sharon!
Clearly, Snowflake’s cancer (or chemotherapy) is affecting not only his synaptic activity but his soul as well. Unfortuante, but true. Blessings right back at ya’!

They have been in office for a MERE 5 or 6 months……

How long was the Republicans in office before this mess started??????

Did you expect them to just end it Immediately????

Can someone please explain to me why Republicans seem to have a brain difficiancy that prevents them from thinking logically????

I am not happy with them at the moment either, but given that the Republicans mud sling and derade people for the smallest things, I do understand their moving cautiously to get it right so the Republicans don’t have a leg to stand on when they start calling them more harsh name than TRAITORS.

“The Bush administration has released a directive called the National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive. The directive released on May 9th, 2007 has gone almost unnoticed by the mainstream and alternative media. This is understandable considering the huge Ron Paul and immigration news but this story is equally as huge. In this directive, Bush declares that in the event of a “Catastrophic Emergency”, the President will be entrusted with leading the activities to ensure constitutional government. The language in this directive would in effect make the President a dictator in the case of such an emergency.

The directive defines a “Catastrophic Emergency” as the following.

    Catastrophic Emergency” means any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage, or disruption severely affecting the U.S. population, infrastructure, environment, economy, or government functions;

“The language written in the directive is disturbing because it doesn’t say that the President will work with the other branches of government equally to ensure a constitutional government is protected. It says clearly that there will be a cooperative effort among the three branches that will be coordinated by the President. If the President is coordinating these efforts it effectively puts him in charge of every branch. The language in the directive is entirely Orwellian in nature making it seem that it is a cooperative effort between all three branches but than it says that the President is in charge of the cooperative effort.

The directive defines Enduring Constitutional Government as the following.

    “Enduring Constitutional Government,” or “ECG,” means a cooperative effort among the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of the Federal Government, coordinated by the President, as a matter of comity with respect to the legislative and judicial branches and with proper respect for the constitutional separation of powers among the branches, to preserve the constitutional framework under which the Nation is governed and the capability of all three branches of government to execute constitutional responsibilities and provide for orderly succession, appropriate transition of leadership, and interoperability and support of the National Essential Functions during a catastrophic emergency;

Further on in the document it states the following.

The President shall lead the activities of the Federal Government for ensuring constitutional government. “

The truth apparently hurts. There is no debate that thanks to the Democrats, the ones who promised to end the war, the death and destruction is garranteed to continue another year because the Democrats gave Bush the funds to do so. Your wanting to debate? Can’t debate that.

    #32

The Dems are moving “cautiously” alright. To bad the death rate in Iraq isn’t moving up “cautiously”. What did the Dems think was going to happen when they took over Congress? That they would have majority without responsibility? This is their war now as well as the neocons…..

  44. Jaime Says:

That IS a huge slap in the mouth, or actually more like a brick to the face of anyone who has served, For tony snow to stand in front of millions and say that the idiot who sent them to war in the first place…

  45. Erroll Says:

I agree with Jim. The Democrats could join forces with Kucinich to defund the occupation but the overwhelming majority of them, these alleged antiwar democrats, refuse to do so. They were elected in November to put an end to the war but they are not keeping their promise. The Democrats cannot claim that they oppose the war/occupation if they keep the funds going to keep the war machine on track. Stop the war-now. Bring the troops home-now.

When they werent fighting, Guevara taught their men to read. I bet GW Bush does that…

    Comment by COMMENT BY JIM — June 14, 2007 @ 1:56 pm

    Jim, you weak-minded troll:

The dems control one half of one third, or one sixth (I even did the math for you), of the Federal Government: The House of Representatives. They, most decidedly, do not have a majority. Thus, they do not set policy, or control the agenda. Their small majority in the house allows them to place some checks on the unbridled powers of a one-party system. All of that will go away in the next election. The Dems will win that lock, stock, and barrel - only those Dems stupid and spineless enough to counter the will of their constituents will loose their offices. All of those will be replaced by Democrats, also.

You need to wake up, then you need to grow up. Your side has lost the battle and the war. You’ll resent it for some time, but eventually, you’ll grow to accept it. Go look into your own eyes in a mirror and repeat: I was wrong.

“2001 days since any attack on American soil”

The only attack worth mentioning at all is the one that happened while Bush was “doing his job.” Prior to that…? We’ve had some pretty lousy Presidents in our history, but Bush is unique:

    - Only President to suffer a successful major domestic terrorist attack
    - Only President to turn a budget surplus into a record deficit
    - Only President to nearly asphyxiate eating a pretzel
    - Only President to fall off a vehicle with internal load-balancing gyroscopic controls
    - Worst public opinion of any President, at any time, ever
    - Created the largest single source of debt in the history of the world
    - Only President to have Jesus reply “no comment” when asked if he loved him too

The list goes on. The days grow short. Cheney’s pacemaker is getting old. I have 20 people running for President and I hate them all.

I would love to see Bush and Cheney on the frontlines in Iraq for just half a day. When he travels to Iraq, Cheney’s eyes are always bulging out, either from fear, or the tightness of his armored vest, or both.

I can guarantee you that they would both be wearing their brown trousers!

While Lincoln couldn’t sleep because of the tragedy of the Civil War and frequently met with his generals and troops on the battlefield, we have a president that says he sleeps very well and has no interest in what his troops or generals believe. That’s why we have a failed “surge” on our hands now.

Remember that it was just a few weeks ago that we had to look forward to”Magic September 2007″, the turning point, for making tough decisions? That will be pushed back to early 2008, and then the summer of 2008. Then, Bush can tell us all to kiss off, because it is not his problem any more.

I just hope that Bush finds it impossible to travel as a normal American after his Presidency, without being booed or heckled. He still won’t get it, though. Perhaps he’ll move to Dubai, along with Cheney and Halliburton.

  101. Doug Says:

If he was in this war someone would stick and IED up his ass and let it explode. That someone would probably be an American solider.

  102. azbill Says:

Maybe his cancer has spread to his brain. Tony, baby, don’t you know that lying will come back and get you??? BTW, you look TERRIBLE, darling. Lying is not easy on one’s health. When snowjob goes down, there will be another lying, cheating and unethical spokes person will stand up to take his place. He’s one of the 28% that still support the WORST president in US history, GWB, alcoholic, liar, cheater and total failure as anything in his life.

  103. Snowy Says:

Looks like they got snowjob on some nasty chemo meds. Only dumb shits
like this guy fall for the “chemo cancer treatment” BS.

  104. Jay Randal Says:

LOL Bush is NO where near the “Frontlines.” He would have to be in Baghdad, not in the Green Zone, patroling some street wondering if his balls might get blown off.

  105. Joe A. Says:

    Jeb in ‘08!

  106. Ruthless People Says:

Bush and Cheney are blood sucking and blood spilling vampires. They will spill other people’s blood so Halliburton can get no bid government contracts but not the blood of their family. These scum bags take and rape this country blind giving nothing back but debt, death and destruction. They should be under the jail instead of in the White House

  107. bob Says:

ha ha ha , front lines allright , ha ha ha… in Albania…lost his watch! ha ha ha….someone stole Il Duce’s hat! Ha ha ha…

  108. jrb Says:

To everyone who is criticizing the Dems:

Do the math. They don’t have the numbers to overturn a presidential veto. There’s only a one vote majority in the senate. Many on the far Left act as if all the Dems need to do to end the war is to pass a bill with a simple majority. Sorry, it doesn’t work that way.

The Dems in ‘06 never said they would be able to end the war. The anti-war camp imposd their own hopes upon them and now act like betrayed ex-lovers. The ‘06 election was about oversight and accountability. You want an end to the war? VOTE DEMOCRAT in ‘08, give them the White House and a super majority in congress. Until then, they are Constitutionally powerless to override Bush’s certain veto. Don’t get me wrong. I’m very displeased with the leadership and the way they handd a PR victory with the recent spending bill. Reid should go as majority leader.

If you abandon the Democratic party next time (like so many did in 2000) you will ensure that the Republicans keep power. Just think, if 2-3% of the Floridians who voted for Nader in 2000 had pulled their heads from the sand and voted for Gore instead, G.W. would never have been elected, we would not be stuck in Iraq, the Supreme Court would not be packed with ultra conservaties and we would have speant the last six and a half years figting global warming.

Elections matter. Don’t waste your vote on a far left third party candidate. In our system, that’s a de facto vote for a Republican and for more war.

  109. WackoinWaco Says:

If the folks in the White House are watching Fox News, their “favorite” network, they must be getting very little about Iraq. I would guess that Bush and Co. are up to date on the Paris Hilton saga or any missing white girls though.

  110. sponsor Says:

that looks suspiciously like a beer that our “sober” commander guy is drinking in the picture….

  111. civil behavior Says:

Aren’t we done with this f***er yet?

  112. J. Lewd Says:

Frontlines, my ass. The one time this simian was under attack, he hid out in a grade school in his big brother’s redneck of the woods.

Tony Snow, are you a complete idiot or are you simply paid obscenely large amounts of cash to pretend you’re that stupid?

  113. Angela Says:

I thought I would miss these endearing “Snow Jobs” when he had to leave with his cancer. I didn’t. Now he’s back and as disgusting as ever. No wonder this guy’s being eaten alive from the inside. You can smell evil in the air just watching him over the internet(s).

  114. Michael R Bonds Says:

The picture of bushwhacker looks like an alcoholic holding a beer. Maybe, all his fk-ups before this election came from being on a ‘dry drunk’. Looks like he decided to ‘wet’ it down, so his decisions (sic) since then may be alcohol-fueled.

  115. demdandy Says:

So what’s Snow gonna say when and if Bosch leaves office? “Life is not worth living without George Bush.” Isn’t that what Goebbels said about Adolph in the bunker just before the doc gave the kids a nice eternal holiday?
Snow wants to spend some of the final days of his life aiding and abetting a tyrant? Oh yes, and Bosch and his wife were dancing on a stage about 10 days ago, smiling and laughing and having a heckuva time, showing their devoted support of the troops, who keep dying in the streets of Baghdad. That’s real front line combat action, yes? Heck, Bosch won’t even visit Baghdad now because he knows he would be bombed to hell and back. Things are looking up, though, and he’s very encouraged that he will achieve a victory that he will soon redefine, so he can win before 08.

  116. VietVet67 Says:

Hey, George was stationed with me in Vietnam…..oh shit, sorry, wrong George.

  117. Charlotte Says:

I have an idea–how about no August recess for the President? Since he is concerned about the war EVERYDAY, why not just skip his usual late July-August-early September break at Crawford…He can watch in his comfortable chair in the oval office for any “progress” being made. My nephew’s tour was extended from April through Sept to who knows when, and it’s the least Bush can do. David won’t get a break in August and has to endure 115 degree heat complete with IEDs.

  118. HamletsMill Says:

Is that a beer? Certainly looks like it. Does anyone really know?

Any normal person would HAVE to be coming apart in all this.

This man has sent soldiers to their deaths in a war of choice. It does not get any worse than that in the human soul. And upon that fact the war has been totally and completely mismanaged from the victory trap.

Haven’t any of these people ever studied the history of warfare?

The drive into Baghdad was essentially the good ‘ole collapse of the Roman center or like over extending strategic reserves in a World War I battle. These idiots were sucker punched. One of the oldest military tricks in human history.

Forget WMD’s. They should have secured the conventional weapons caches FIRST! Duh! Just amazing!

After Stalingrad the Bavarian corporal teatotaller Hitler started drinking a beer ever night to sleep. I wonder when “Commander Guy” will start to come apart at the seams and one beer will start to become two to take off the edge?

Remember, LBJ started to come apart at the seams in 1968 and decided not to run. But this guy has no way out now.

But Chaney, he has an iron psyche and would send every person of military age (which now might just go up to 60) to their death if he could. There is no price too big to pay for monstrous momma’s boy ideologues of this magnitude.

We are in deep s**t, folks.

A fellow veteran sent me a collection of some of the new underground GI newspapers today in PDF format.

I would saw the limit has been reached. And the military is now going to start to hit Vietnam levels of dissent in the ranks. And very soon. Heck, there are now General who are speaking out like General David M. Shoup in the 1960’s at the height of the Vietnam War.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_M._Shoup

We are now there people. Over this next year it is all now going to start to come apart at the seams. We are at the breaking point. It is time to get in the streets.

  119. Com-n-sense Says:

    WTF is bush drinking?

    BUSTED!

  120. Flaco Says:

2002 days since any attack on American soil.

Sorry I forgot to add today. Thanks President Bush!

  121. Shag Says:

Tony Snow is such a disgusting twerp. I wish he were back at Faux News, then I wouldn’t have to see him so much.

  122. faith Says:

How does Mr. Snow continue his white house “spin” when he knows how ill he is? I would be doing all I could to get right with my “Maker” to attempt to earn a reprieve.
Bush’s war, which is causing so much pain and suffering - death and dying- maiming and poverty is wrongful. Mr. Snow, you know that.

  123. Uncle Ho Says:

Cowardly Bush will not get within 10,000 miles of the frontline. Remember how brave he was shouting “Bring it on!” from the safety of the White House. I would like to see him say that in Baghdad, outside the Green zone without 100 heavily armed soldiers, sharpshooters on the roof, & helicopters overhead.

  124. James McClary Says:

Snow sounds like he got his training from BAGDAD BOB..

  125. Flaco Says:

I would like to see him say that in Baghdad, outside the Green zone without 100 heavily armed soldiers, sharpshooters on the roof, & helicopters overhead.

    Comment by Uncle Ho
Of course you would do the same right chickenshit

  126. Chip Chapman Says:

Read “armed madhouse” by Greg Palast.
Bush is on the frontlines alright… The frontlines of protecting big oil interest in seeing Iraq oil production kept at a minimum. What’s happened while this war has systematically been bungled??? Big oil profits have tripled…
Why??? Because Iraq oil production has been kept down below “oil for food” levels. As long as Iraqi oil production stays low big oil profits remain sky high.
    Why??? Supply & demand.
    Peace.

  127. SuperB Says:

Bush is a Monster. He drinks blood and Oil.

    He is a coward.

  128. news across the neocon empire Says:

A more specific question would be why isnt George P. Bush, nephew of George W. Bush serving in iraq? He certainly didn’t mind campaigning for his Uncle Dubba in 2004 at which time he repeated his full support for his Uncle Dubba’s occupation of Iraq.

So Mr. Dictator…opps, I mean President, why isn’t your nephew over there? And while we are at it, why aren’t your daughters there doging bullets like my sons are?

The answer is simple; All neocons and all Republicans are cowardly liars. I say we lock them all up for treason.

  129. Coffins draped with flags Says:

What? Bush is now fighting side-by-side with our Army and Marines in Iraq? Isn’t that the “front lines”?

Signed: Military returning from Iraq in coffins draped with flags, the very coffins that the press are not allowed to show. That’s because these coffins don’t shine a positive light on our man/child president, mr. george w bush.

  130. kasinca Says:

#128 When he isn’t drinking alcohol. I think it is obvious that he was never striken sober.

  131. Ken Says:

Hey what happened to the pic of bush holding his half full glass of booze.
Did the white house call up and complain it showed drunken bush is off the wagon again. I bet he couldnt pass a drug test either.

  132. libsrule Says:

Someone Should Just Shoot Cheney And Bush….

  133. Woodsywizz Says:

I’m a DESERT STORM vet, I also actually served in the Texas Air National Guard (!) and all I have to say is What Do We Do? Yeah, the Petroleum Distribution Law is designed to turn Iraqi oil over to US companies. Yeah, our presence is inciting violence. IS THERE ANY WAY TO MAKE IT BETTER? I see Iran becoming stronger, run by a nutcase President, while we’re getting weaker, run by a nutcase President. And now Hamas is taking over Gaza while Hezbollah makes a play for Lebanon. Syria is competing with Iran for the Assassination Assh*le Sweepstakes. Russia threatens Europe’s natural gas supply. China is sucking up Iran’s oil. WHAT CAN WE DO???

  134. Post American Says:

Bush knows he rules over a nation of cowards, otherwise his head would be paraded up and down Pennsylvania Avenue!

  135. NakedEmperor Says:

Yeah. George W Wuss is on the Frontline and I am the President of US.

  136. NakedEmperor Says:

Yeah. George W Wuss is on the Frontline and I am the President of USA.

  137. smeat75 Says:

    #109
The Dems did not have to try to override a presidential veto. They sent Bush a funding bill for the war with a timetable for withdrawal and he vetoed it. They did not have to send another bill - he cannot veto a bill that does not exist. Instead, paralysed with fear about what the GOP and radio talk show hosts would say about them over the Memorial Day weekend if they did not fund the war, the Dems caved and sent Bush the blank check for his war they had sworn not to.
We voted against the war in November the only way we could - by voting Democratic - and look where it got us. The war is not only continuing, but escalating, or “surging”, and the Dems are ignoring the views of the people who voted for them.
I worked for the Democratic party locally in the last elections - what a fool I was. They have not made any difference to anything. They are gutless cowards who cannot think of anything except keeping their well-paid jobs and their limos. Not a single one of them will stand up and fight for us. There is no opposition to the Bush administration. It is sickening. I want no part of the Democratic party ever again.

  138. Wayne A. Schneider Says:

Tony snow is doom to go to hell where bush and cheney already have reservations.

    Comment by Ken — June 14, 2007 @ 4:55 pm

In fact, they booked the Presidential Suites. How fitting. Cheney’s is right next to Nixon’s.

  139. Wayne A. Schneider Says:

When asked by PBS’s Jim Lehrer why he hasn’t called on more Americans to sacrifice for the war, Bush claimed that Americans have had to “sacrifice peace of mind when they see the terrible image of violence on TV every night.”

Yes, but you didn’t ask them to sacrifice that “peace of mind.” You did, however, asks many of our soldiers to sacrifice a “piece of mind”.

  140. Wayne A. Schneider Says:

Everyone on hear who helped the Dems take control of Congress now has blood on their hands. Enjoy it folks. YOU helped continue the war. YOU should be proud………

    Comment by COMMENT BY JIM — June 14, 2007 @ 1:29 pm

With all due respect, JIM, I helped John Hall get elected and he voted against this non-war-ending bill. I did not help continue the war. And as a matter of fact, I am proud.

  141. trebby Says:

Give Tony Snow a break. The chemotherapy is obviously affecting his brain.

  142. ProfessorVP Says:

There’s only one family member of this administration strong enough, tough enough, butch enough and with sufficient balls to actually fight in combat. But cut Mary Cheney some slack, she’s pregnant.

  143. Ken Hall Says:

I used to comment on Bush, but he is so far removed from any link with reality that there is no point. I could not insult him if I tried. My most harsh critisism would not do justice to how bad the man is.

The dems and the GOP and the mainstream media are stuffed full of lying chicken hawks who should be flown to the front lines in Iraq and Afghanistan, given sub-standard armour and faulty weaponry and told to show us all exactly how wonderfully their policies are working in the real world.

The ONLY saviour for your failed republic, and for the once free world, is the election of Ron Paul.

  144. Ken Hall Says:

smeat75, and all the other democrats or former democrats who voted to end the war, you really should look into what Ron Paul has to say, i am sure that you will like it. Then tell all your friends.

  145. Shane Says:

Does flying into Baghdada in the middle of the night with a fake turkey and getting the hell out of dodge within 12 hours not constitue being on the front lines?? LOL

  146. Greg Says:

hahahaha Tony Snow, you crack me up.

    Wait, he was serious? What?

  147. guns'n'bibles Says:

Republicans = Party of war losers. cowardly anti-American bastards

  148. gopindrag Says:

Tony snow is the canary in the White House coal mine. Tony Snow is the Dorian Gray portrait of this administration. Tony Snow will have his Lee Atwater moment…..long after that train has left the station.

  149. 2BaRealist Says:

Sure bush is on the front lines.. everyday.. selling off the USA and working hard to abolish our borders and wipe away our national Sovereignty with his promotion of the North American Union!!

Prepare for new national borders and a new currency.. by 2010!!

    http://nauinfo.blogspot.com/

  150. Terry Says:

Flaco - Two questions for you. First, what education level are you? Secondly, what branch of the military did you serve and did you do a tour in Iraq. Anybody as supportive as you are of this President needs to put his body where his mouth is. So if you are not in the Army, join you warmongering jerk. You’ll continue to allow poor kids with little other options in life die to protect your smug, republican butt.

Another question, what’s the most recent book you have read and do you get your news and facts from any other source than Fox News?

As others have pointed out, your President was on watch when the worse domestic terriorist attack occurred, this despite the hit over the head with a warning that all but said, “Hey, you vacationing idiot, take time out from your three month endeaveor to read “My Pet Goat” and prepare, Al Queda is going to attack the World Trade Center”. Bush is the Inspector Closeau of Presidents.

It’s people like you, those who follow leaders blindlessly, that allow facists like Cheney and Bush to ruin countries and commit the atrocities that they have. The consequences of this war will be felt by our children’s children and their children also. Bush and Cheney have put a target on aeveryican citizen, especially those who travel or work oversees! In your world, if this were 1944, and you were German, you would still be hailing the achievements of your Fuerer. Your loyalty should be with your country, not an incompetent leader.

Alos, political debate requires an exchange of ideas and facts, not smug replies that only include simplistic words and insults. Try to offer a citation that is prima facie proof of your President’s achievement, which, if based on fact, iis impossible. In the real world that the rest of us live in, he has failed in every category of leadership and administration. If Bush and Cheney were third world leaders, they woulld be tried as war criminals, and there is no disputing that. Of course, you know more than the other 95% of the world’s inhabitants. So keep your smug attitude and you’ll get the country you deserve, a dictatorship where the gov’t. would know when you potty, when you eat and control what you believe. Like every other civilization before us, the U.S. will rot from within, not from outside agression, because citizens like you were blind to it’s decline in freedoms and values. Laugh on, Dude, but seriously, read some books on world history and politics, enlightment is a cool thing!

  151. Terry Says:

Bottom line, Flaco, you’re retorts are in line with, “Oh Yeah?!?!”. Where’s the beef?!?!?!?

  152. angryindy Says:

Snow is dying of Cancer and has to get maximum spin and lies in before he cashes it. Simple.

Sick of this Administration? Sign every email you send: ” Dear Congressman Impeach Bush and Cheney in 07, or be removed in 08.” Friends the time for half-measures is way past over. Email your congressfolk everyday.

  153. Dion Jackson Says:

That was truly disgusting and dispicable. These people who give out the orders safely inside the White House to our troops have no idea what it’s like to watch one of your own die in war. I am sick and tired of these scumbags and can’t wait until they get what’s coming to them. Please tell me how the president knows what it’s like in Iraq when he’s too coward to go over there and find out! Tony Snow is a scumbag, Dick Cheney (The first word in his name describes what he is) and George Bush is a scumbag to.

  154. Erin Says:

    Smeat75 Comment #138

Right on. Right the f*ck on. I too will never vote for another Democrat. I was furious the first time when they authorized bush to go to war - but I thought well, now they’ve realized their mistakes (Hillary didn’t - she insists she was LIED TO - give me a break - I knew the war was a sham before it was declared - anyone who has a BRAIN knew the war was a sham) and now they’re going to stop this thing. But no. How many times will we allow them to let us down before we stop supporting them? They ARE gutless, spineless and pathetic. It makes me furious they are using my (our) tax dollars to NOT represent us. Done, done, done. Never again.

  155. Edwin Kennedy Says:

Members of the administration have been playing mind games so long they probably really believe Bush is “in the war”. But as Bush’s father said long ago, George has too short of an attention span to finish anything he starts. In 18 months Bush is history. Bad history, but that’s an improvement over what we’ve had for 6.5 years. [Looks like old Red States denizens are still attempting to rewrite history.]

  156. Bill Says:

Snow will be dead soon, from CANCER, that is Gods retribution for this lying piece of crap!

  157. Tom Says:

    Beetle Bailey Bush………………………..

  158. Tom Says:

Bush wants illegals for his ranch hands, since he is unwilling to pay an

Every day I read horrendous stories from GIs, support staff and family members at thomasfbarton@earthlink.net

Here’s today’s horror story. Check it out, then send Tony, Condo Slezzah, Dickhead & the whole Bush crew to Camp Lejune to do their “service”:

    Military Families & Troops Poisoned By Command At Lejeune;

June 12, 2007 by Kimberly Hefling, Associated Press

Marine families who lived at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina over three decades drank water contaminated with toxins as much as 40 times over today’s safety standard, federal health investigators said Tuesday.

The government disclosed results from a new scientific study on the same day that some families testified for Congress about cancers and other illnesses they blame on drinking tainted tap water at the sprawling training and deployment base.

The House Energy and Commerce panel, which held the hearing, described the sickened Marines as “poisoned patriots.”

At least 850 former residents of the base have filed administrative claims, seeking nearly $4 billion, for exposure to the industrial solvents TCE and PCE that contaminated Camp Lejeune’s drinking wells before 1987.

“My wife and I now have new full-time careers just staying alive and figuring out how to pay for it all,” former Navy Dr. Michael Gros of Spring, Texas, said. He was stunned to learn years after his work in the 1980s as an obstetrician and gynecologist at Camp Lejeune that he had a rare non-Hodgkins lymphoma.

  160. Jericho Says:

Waauw, the spokesperson of the White House is answering questions in metaphors. Not even the kind that hides the childish nature of your comment. If Bush is on the front lines of the War every day, that must mean the enemy has come home to the Oval office and Camp David after all! I told you they were lying. Maybe they were speaking in metaphors…. who knows.
