Major Sunni mosque destroyed in Basra.
“Insurgents disguised themselves as cameramen so as not to raise suspicion while planting explosives at a major Sunni mosque near Basra early Friday morning. They detonated the bombs shortly after they left, destroying the mosque, and raising fears that sectarian fallout from Wednesday’s Samarra mosque bombing is stretching deep into southern Iraq.”

June 15th, 2007 at 2:03 pmThis isn’t news. This sh*t has been happening day in and day out since the beginning of the Iraq Genocide Project over four years ago. (yes, that is over 1,500 days EXACTLY like this or worse).
Even though the US and ENTIRE WORLD know that the reasons for invading Iraq were bogus and wrong, and even though the “anti-war” segment of the US population now holds a majority in congress, the USA is still fully and deliberately perpetrating this heinous atrocity.
So, then, what is truly the “news” is that the citizenry of the United States of America has determined that it is okay to be murderers and oppressors as long as it comes with the stamp of the red white and blue.
The retaliatory attack that we are begging for is coming, and it is well deserved.

Exactly my thought when I first heard of this. Wasn’t that mosque protected by about 150 members of the Iraqi “security forces”?
Again, remember, folks…the administration here in Amerika and its puppets over in Iraq have no interest in trying to make Iraq a better place, and every interest in maintaining the status quo of chaos and mayhem.
When you take this into consideration, the administration’s shocking ‘failures’ in Iraq suddenly make perfect sense.

He expressed hope that the Wednesday desecration of the holy Shia shrine has not been a plot devised by the occupation to fan the flames of conflict among Muslims.

Faire > it appears that US special forces might have blown up the mosque dressed as Iraqis. I have no idea why Bush would think blowing up religious sites is a good idea, unless he believes it might draw the violence out of Baghdad, but in my opinion it will make it far worse.
