That’s right, set a precedent for community service for White Colar felons. Then, they won’t really be that afraid of prison. Now that’s good logic. I think the best line I ever heard in my life was from the Commissioner of Prisons of the state of FL about 10 years ago. They were having a problem with their electric chair – it was flaming people’s heads. When asked to comment, the Commissioner took the opportunity, very loudly, to tell would be murderers that they “sure were trying to fix the equipment but in the mean time nows not the time to commit murder in our state… but we are trying real, real hard to fix the problem”. The comments, paraphrased here, spoke volumes.

Evidently, that’s the entire motivation for trollish behavior. Get nothing but negative attention, but it’s still attention. Trolls will argue that they really want to “debate” but all they do is argue and repeat their talking points over and over. It’s an interesting mental illness.
