right you are kasinca. I too get frustrated at the comments that the Congress isn’t
“doing anything but writing letters”
this is a process that takes TIME and must be approached the way they are approaching it, a thorough, complete investigation starting with the underlings and working up. Part of the issue is that so MUCH corruption exists in virtually every dept. of the Bush govt. that each investigation opens up on more corruption. Anyone who has been through litigation themselves knows this. I won a med malpractice suit against the largest med mal insurance co. in CA. and from discovery to the end of the litigation took 8 years, that is about average.
This part of the investigation is NOT “process” it is information gathering and they are doing a great job at it. Keep in mind much of what they know we do NOT know(yet) They really need our faith and support in these difficult times.
They must be able to overcome their tiny majority in order to act. The more info. they have, the better the chance to reach the indictment phase. It is coming, agonizing as all this waiting is, it will result in this admin. getting their just punishments. They all belong in the Hague being tried for their war crimes but they also need to be held accountable for their crimes here at home.

I get sick reading all the whining the progressives on this board do. Remember that we barely have a majority in the Senate. Nothing can be voted on in the Senate without 60 votes. As long as the wingers are able to filibuster they will. That is one problem. Remember we have a drunken AWOL chimpanzee in the WH. He will veto anything that questions his authority or tests his ego, in his dry drunk mind, and also remember that as long as he is in office he will keep crooks and thugs in the office of attorney general to protect his worthless ass and KKKarl Rove. The Democrats are doing what is necessary, investigate, investigate, investigate because to bring charges they will need evidence to back up the charges. The wheels of justice do not move as quickly as the crimes of the thugs in the crime family.

I am sick and tired of them writing letters. But, there isn’t really much they can do until they get the goods on the Bush Crime Family and getting the goods on them is proving to be difficult. Between missing e-mails and missing memories and Bush saying anyone who ever worked for him in any capacity has Executive Privilege, there doesn’t seem to be much the Democrats can do except to keep digging. Sooner or later they are going to find the truth and then I’m fairly sure that impeachment will be put back on the table.

I also agree that the Democrats need to stop acting like wussies. They need to remember how the Republics treated them, like threatening to go nuclear with the filibuster if the Democrats dared to use it, and dish it back to them the same way. They do say what goes around comes around. It’s time to stop being polite and taking out the big guns.

I do believe that the Democrats are sitting on a gold mine with the e-mails that fell into Greg Palast’s hands. I think it is driving the Republics crazy not knowing which e-mails he has given to Reid.

Hmmmm — the Justice Department. Why not just ask Jesse James to provide security for banks? Where is the Office of Independent Counsel now that we need it to investigate caging, destroyed e-mails, U.S. Attorney firings, etc.?

As much as I’m opposed to the Republicans, they are handing the Democrats their collective heads. Despite majorities, the Republicans continue to thwart any Democratic initiatives. If the Democrats had used these same techniques a couple of years ago, the Republicans would have simply rolled over them.

Senator Kennedy would probably have what he needs, beings he is related to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who has publically spoken out along with Greg Palast (Palast – who Karl Rove accidently sent 500 emails to regarding caging lists – including some of the lists) on the stolen elections and how they did it.
