Bush eyes Blair for Mideast peace role.
“President Bush has talked with British Prime Minister Tony Blair about taking a role as a Middle East peace envoy after he leaves office next week,” the Associated Press reports. On Monday, Blair “strongly defended intervening in Iraq” in a “robust farewell performance” before one of parliament’s top panels.

You’re forgetting one thing.
They’re never going to accept him.
If a family member was raped, would you assign the guy who raped her as her caseworker?
The only way assigning Tony Blair as a peace envoy to the middle east is going to bring any peace, is if we let them beat him to death.
Then maybe they’ll want to talk, even if its just to tell us to send more peace envoy’s.

What I would like to see, and this would begin such a world healing process is Let the Iraqi people have at the Bush crime family, put them on trial and punish them in their method. To let the Iraq government bring the Bush crime family to justice in their own way in front of the world would be sooo cleansing/healing. Of course laws prevent this, but then again, haven’t many laws been broken?

June 20th, 2007 at 10:14 pmok now that i have stopped laughing….what exactly does a middle east peace envoy actually do? – i had no idea these people actually existed – if he “strongly defended intervening (interesting word – does he mean interferring?) in iraq”,then would it be fair to assume that his crusade for peace will include intervening in iran? – and what have all of the other middle east peace envoys previously done? – f**k all by the look of things over there

It was “other people” (Who? I thought he was PM!) and “God” who made the decision! He doesn’t want to take responsibility, yet he fought for it day and night against very loud opposition at home.
