“President Bush has talked with British Prime Minister Tony Blair about taking a role as a Middle East peace envoy after he leaves office next week,” the Associated Press reports. On Monday, Blair “strongly defended intervening in Iraq” in a “robust farewell performance” before one of parliament’s top panels.
Good. Blair is a good man.
June 20th, 2007 at 4:35 pmStake Blair out in the middle of the desert and let all Arabs line up to piss on him.
June 20th, 2007 at 4:36 pmThat’ll keep them so busy they won’t have time for war.
Blair must love being Bush’s bitch.
June 20th, 2007 at 4:37 pmAnother brilliant command decision from our glorious leader.
Lets just appoint the former world leader who helped Bush blow the shit out of the place, as their new “Peace envoy”. Absoutely brilliant.
:|
When they’re done clubbing him to death, maybe we could invite them all out for a beer.
June 20th, 2007 at 4:38 pmBWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Blair mideast peace envoy …BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
June 20th, 2007 at 4:39 pmBush on Tony Blair:
“I’m sorry it’s come to be, but that’s what happens in life. We’ll move on.”
President Bush, on the resignation of Tony Blair, June 7, 2007.
“Could be.”
June 20th, 2007 at 4:40 pmPresident Bush, on whether he is responsible for Tony Blair’s downfall, May 17, 2007.
I’m serious here. This is a great olive branch by our glorious president…. that is, to hand his partner over to them to do with as they will.
Once they take out their frustrations with a power drill on Blair, maybe we will be able to work towards peace.
Heck-uva-job.
June 20th, 2007 at 4:41 pmQuite a come-down for a British Prime Minister. The lap-dog label is confirmed.
June 20th, 2007 at 4:44 pmBartlebee – funny posts and right on!
Maybe boy Bush is testing the waters. Let’s see if Tony survives then maybe boy Bush can attempt to visit the Middle East again.
June 20th, 2007 at 4:46 pmMaybe he could appoint Donald Rumsfeld as the new Education minister of Iraq.
Then they could beat him senseless with the same club they use on Blair.
:|
Then they’d like us even more.
June 20th, 2007 at 4:47 pmHell lets just give them the entire cabinet.
Then they could demonstrate to Tony Snow what “wack-a-mole” is really all about.
June 20th, 2007 at 4:48 pmThat would be like making Bill Clinton UN President, laughable.
June 20th, 2007 at 4:49 pmYo, Blair! Pull my finger. On YOU, sucka!!!
June 20th, 2007 at 4:50 pmLet’s see if Tony survives then maybe boy Bush can attempt to visit the Middle East again.
Comment by Coffins draped with flags — June 20, 2007 @ 4:46 pm
Bush visit the middle east?
I’m not sure they make armour that thick.
June 20th, 2007 at 4:51 pmDamn, you can’t find good, trustworthy help these days.
http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/06/20/walter.reed.shooting.ap/index.html
June 20th, 2007 at 4:52 pmBush is a War Criminal. And we have that famous overheard conversation where Blair is pleading to be sent to the Middle East to give the appearance of listening to the Arabs.
Bush should get a job working for Henry Kissinger.
June 20th, 2007 at 4:53 pmHey Bartlebee – what are you drinking? Funny comments.
June 20th, 2007 at 4:53 pmTony Blair is Chimpy’s Poodle.
June 20th, 2007 at 4:57 pmHey Bartlebee – what are you drinking?
Comment by Coffins draped with flags — June 20, 2007 @ 4:53 pm
Well if I looked up and opened my mouth, I’d be drinking urine.
Cause they’re pissin on my head and telling me its rain.
June 20th, 2007 at 4:57 pmTony Blair, the former Prime Minister who invaded the middle east, as the new “Peace Envoy” to the middle east.
:|
Give me a break.
June 20th, 2007 at 4:59 pmHe’s drinking Bartlebee & James Wine Coolers. 8^)
June 20th, 2007 at 4:59 pmThere’s two ways to look at this. Either Blair loves hard work and he’ll try to straighten out the disaster he helped create or he’ll just kick back and say “The place is a mess. What can I do about it.” Either way Blair is a joke of a choice. A bad joke.
June 20th, 2007 at 5:01 pmMaybe next we could appoint Jack Abramoff to head UNICEF.
June 20th, 2007 at 5:01 pmOf course, after appointing QuickDrawMcgraw Bolton as the UN ambassador, I guess we shouldn’t be surprised.
What Mr Bush apparently does, is find the candidate who posseses the exact opposite skillsets required by an organziation, and then puts them in charge of it.
June 20th, 2007 at 5:03 pmJeffy Lube Gannnon is on Poodle Boy Blair’s speed dial.
June 20th, 2007 at 5:08 pmThere’s two ways to look at this. Either Blair loves hard work and he’ll try to straighten out the disaster he helped create
Comment by dlet — June 20, 2007 @ 5:01 pm
You’re forgetting one thing.
They’re never going to accept him.
If a family member was raped, would you assign the guy who raped her as her caseworker?
The only way assigning Tony Blair as a peace envoy to the middle east is going to bring any peace, is if we let them beat him to death.
Then maybe they’ll want to talk, even if its just to tell us to send more peace envoy’s.
June 20th, 2007 at 5:08 pmAnd when CNN shows images of Blairs body being dragged through Anbar province behind a Datsun, Bush can just call it “Freedom Surfing”.
June 20th, 2007 at 5:13 pmYeah lets assign the second most hated guy in the middle east, to be the new peace envoy, man that is brilliant.
June 20th, 2007 at 5:13 pmBlair and Colin Powell were Bush’s ENABLERS in this Iraq Disaster. Powell because he had International Respect…and Blair because he could translate Bush’s plans into ENGLISH.
June 20th, 2007 at 5:13 pmBlair received a memo prior to the Iraq war describing Bush’s strategy for Iraq after Saddam was toppled. The strategy was NO STRATEGY.
While the plan to attack Iraq was questionable..the plan for the occupation was Lethally Incompetent.
Rummy’s strategy was no strategy – on purpose.
The plan is to keep Iraq unstable, not fix it.
Rummy threatened to fire anyone who worked on plans to rebuild Iraq.
June 20th, 2007 at 5:17 pmMaking Tony Blair a peace envoy iss like making Bill Clinton an Abstinence Only envoy,
June 20th, 2007 at 5:21 pmBlair would be a Peace Envoy, in the same way that US Attorneys were fired for not bing tough on voter fraud, just to be replaced by Bush cronies that committed voter fraud.
The titles that hey use, for these positions, are pure Orwell doublespeak.
You can pretty much guarantee that their behavior will be the EXACT opposite of their title.
June 20th, 2007 at 5:26 pm#
That would be like making Bill Clinton UN President, laughable.
Comment by Frank J — June 20, 2007 @ 4:49 pm
June 20th, 2007 at 5:28 pmA better comment would have been like making Dick Cheney UN president, or Condaleeza Rice head of KKK or something. You can surely come up with a better slam on Bill. The UN would probably welcome him, since he was pretty well liked world wide.
Blair has got to be the #2 guy these people hate the most…. Bush being the #1.
June 20th, 2007 at 5:29 pmPutting in a war monger to represent peace – business as usual.
Chimpy has no hope of being a Middle East peacemaker like Carter or Clinton.
He’s already taken sides.
Chimpy is a failure.
June 20th, 2007 at 5:29 pmCarter or Clinton..LOL..now that is funny.
June 20th, 2007 at 5:31 pmi’d bet that it has more to do with those
“PRODUCTION (OIL) SHARING (STEALING) AGREEMENTS”
than anything else…

Comment by Tom3 —
Maybe he is not a failure…Bush’s actions always point towards more war even though his words speak differently.
June 20th, 2007 at 5:33 pmGood. Blair is a good man.
Comment by Kevin — June 20, 2007 @ 4:35 pm
You wouldn’t know a “good man” if one landed on your head.
Make no mistake about it. The President is sending a clear and unambiguous message by even considering Tony Blair as our peace envoy to the middle east.
That message?
That peace in the middle east is the furthest thing from his mind.
June 20th, 2007 at 5:39 pmWhile Bush plays footsie with Blair:
DHS trying to deport missing soldier’s wife
Her husband volunteered to defend this country, and he has been missing in the deserts of Iraq for more than a month. Now the US government is trying to kick her out of the country.
Army specialist Alex Jimenez is one of the kidnapped soldiers.
June 20th, 2007 at 5:42 pmPicking Tony Blair, the “other” world leader who helped blow their holy land back to the stone ages to present to them now as their “peace envoy” is a slap in the face of the entire population of the middle east, and a signal that the US won’t rest, until they are all in our prisons, or dead.
Like I said earlier, the only way appointing Tony Blair as peace envoy to the middle east is going to bring any peace, is if we let them beat him to death.
June 20th, 2007 at 5:43 pmBlair for Mideast peace role
June 20th, 2007 at 5:46 pmwouldn’t that just stimulate more war, confusion – just what Bush wants as he leaves the presidency and hides in Para Quay? More revenue for the MIC… less attention to his illegal deeds….
A good hint that appointing Tony Blair as the peace envoy to the middle east is a bad idea would be the countless images on CNN of them burning him in effigy.
:|
Usually when people burn you in effigy, its a sign that they are none too fond.
June 20th, 2007 at 5:47 pmSorry guys, don’t mean to overpost, its just this one just floored me.

I’d be surprised if Blair does it. He has no credibility whatsoever after Iraq and the Lebanon. And why talk to Tony when you should talk to the Chimp (well, talk to the Organ Grinder).
Ex-British PMs are much better at bribing Saudi princes and running guns to Riyad… his talents would be wasted.

June 20th, 2007 at 6:48 pm.
At lease Blair can get his stolen money as he did following Bush’s orders. I just hope the parties that Blair attended with Porter Goss and those male/female hookers ever comes to light Blair will be paying more then he makes to his wife. It’s nice to see friends stick to each other to back Bush left Abramoff, Cunningham, Hammer and Libby hang. Now Americans don’t mine the White House stealing the US Treasury Blind. Bush has to get as much as possible until he leaves office. Karl Rove will then put in place the one party system of only Republicans. Americans can look forward to the good old days and the minorities will be able to have a Master again.
June 20th, 2007 at 7:24 pmI’d LOVE to see both of the WAR CRIMINALS Bush and Blair get their

Comment by Mr. Bush Goes To Hell
What I would like to see, and this would begin such a world healing process is Let the Iraqi people have at the Bush crime family, put them on trial and punish them in their method. To let the Iraq government bring the Bush crime family to justice in their own way in front of the world would be sooo cleansing/healing. Of course laws prevent this, but then again, haven’t many laws been broken?

June 20th, 2007 at 10:14 pmok now that i have stopped laughing….what exactly does a middle east peace envoy actually do? – i had no idea these people actually existed – if he “strongly defended intervening (interesting word – does he mean interferring?) in iraq”,then would it be fair to assume that his crusade for peace will include intervening in iran? – and what have all of the other middle east peace envoys previously done? – f**k all by the look of things over there
June 20th, 2007 at 11:05 pmRegarding his decision to join in Bush’s attack on Iraq, Blair said:
“I think if you have faith about these things, then you realise that that judgement is made by other people… and if you believe in God, it’s made by God as well.â€
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/4773124.stm
It was “other people” (Who? I thought he was PM!) and “God” who made the decision! He doesn’t want to take responsibility, yet he fought for it day and night against very loud opposition at home.
June 21st, 2007 at 2:27 amJune 20 the House of Representatives overwhelmingly voted to urge the United Nations to indict the President of Iran for inciting genocide. The charge is over a disproven allegation (based on a mistranslation) that Ahmadinejad was called for the destruction of Israel.
Only two members of the House voted against the resolution, Republican Ron Paul and Democrat Dennis Kucinich.
