He didn’t veto the bill on market principles, he vetoed it based on his superstitious beliefs. His laughable “pro-life” stance is the reason he vetoed it. James Madison disagrees with you. It was his idea that the confirmation process would be the check on this happening. But he always stated that the President should not fire an otherwise meritorious officer or face impeachment.
