Any network airs this harpie witch, I boycot it... forever. If we all did that, such trash with tits would quickly become "non-viable". Yeah, she sells books to idiots. Mein Kempf was quite popular too!

Like BS (#38) I want to know the sponsors--not just of that segment however, but all that support Matthews show. See, I don't watch the show so NOT watching won't hurt them, but not buying will. And I am a very experienced product boycotter with a long memory and lots of friends who agree with me. Please list the sponsors somewhere or tell me where to find them.

Why is this silly 'political' pundit still getting exposure on mainstream media outlets and fringe networks like Fox News? Its simple: her personality and attitudes are a perfect reflection of the far-Right. Her angry, racist, homophobic and over the top statements are like Mother's milk to at least 20% of the American public. You know the kind of people I'm referring to: the slack-jawed, knuckle-dragging, bible-thumping, Wal-Mart-shopping retards that give 'ugly American' a whole new and delightful meaning. The kind of folk who rarely travel outside of the country, can't barely read and have a totally distorted world view and zero understanding of their own country's history. People like the Bush family, for example. You know, ethnic cleansing is never a good solution, but for America in the 21st century, it certainly seems worth trying.

It is well known that book "sales" by Coulter and other conservative pundits like O'Reilly and Limbaugh are greatly inflated due to mass buys by political committees that give these books away at conventions. The real measure of influence would be how many of her books are actually read.

"that was pretty funny Happy Guy.
I couldn’t have typed it with a straight face."

And he did it with one hand!

Seriously, has anyone ever pointed out to Matthews that maybe, just maybe, she "sells books" (to the extent that she actually does, rather than phony Scaife sales) because every time she dribbles out a few paragraphs she's on every FREAKING talk show in the country?

Hmm - Glenn Greenwald's "A Tragic Legacy - How a Good vs. Evil Mentality Destroyed the Bush Presidency" is #1 in nonfiction at Amazon. When's he going to be on Hardball?

True. And that description also fits some of our resident trolls, such as VerminVenus.

Yeah, Rosie is funny most of the time when she tries.

Loar -

I had the same issue when I answered several of their "polls" regarding Dubya's performance. I was bombarded with more and more material from them and had to put them on my spam filter list. Now I just go there and to drudge for a view of the other side and get a few chuckles, just like when I listen to rush spout his drug-addled material, for shock value.

#223 Lora - Read some of the stuff on newsmax sometime...it is a total hoot.
Comment by Upside00

A couple of years ago, I answered a few questions concerning John McCain and whether or not I would support him for president in 2008, on a questionnaire that popped up on the "New York Times" website. I usually don't bother with such pop-up questionnaires, but this one looked harmless enough and I was in a strange mood. I also didn't know at the time what kind of organization NewsMax was. The next thing I know is that responding to that questionnaire made me a "subscriber." So, yes, I did read some articles for a while.
Newsmax particularly had (maybe still has) quite a hang-up about Hillary. I am not particularly a fan of Senator Clinton, but Newsmax' attempt to slander her at every chance (such as making a claim that she refused to meet with a delegation from the NY branch of the GoldStar Mothers, who in reality showed up without an appointment on a day when Hillary wasn't in her office and were able to meet her at a later, arranged date) got on my nerves. I decided that I didn't want such junk clogging my mailbox everyday and tried to "unsubscribe" several times, but the "unsubscribe" link wasn't working. I finally had to send them a direct letter saying that if they don't stop sending me something I never asked to subscribe to, I will make "SPAM" complaints about newsmax. I finally stopped getting newsmax sent to me everyday, though another questionnaire was sent to me sometime thereafter.

"Freedom of the press" is in reference to the press being free of governmental censure. It is in no way abridging freedom of the press to tell a corporation that their product stinks.

And I love how you politically correct “progressives” turn to insults and making fun of her physically when you can’t debate her points of view.
ROTFL

And do you ROTFL when Ann-thrax, unable to debate certain points of view, calls the very much married Al Gore and John Edwards "faggots?" Or when she refers to all liberal women as "hirsute and smelly?"

ROTFL
Comment by Crappy Guy

And do you ROTFL when Ann-thrax, unable to debate certain points of view, calls the very much married Al Gore and John Edwards “faggots?” Or when she refers to all liberal women as “hirsute and smelly?”

Even she(Ann) is too smart to believe everything she says, but she sure gets her base worked up in a frenzy. Look at the site newsmax sometimes. It looks more like a paid advertisement for her then a blog site.

The last time I looked at newsmax (which was probably within the past month), it had an advertisement for a male organ enhancement medicine on the front page--a product I thought only sleazy spammers deal with. I guess that is symbolic of the "quality" to be found in newsmax.

. For example, would you deny that the majority of your statements about Christians and conservatives on this site are negative?

Are you actually asking about my statements on this blog, or are you making a sweeping question about statements from other posters (for whom I can not speak)? I have made a few derogatory comments about tele-evangelists like Falwell, Roberston and the particularly hypocritical Rev. Ted. Otherwise, I have not made comments about ordinary pious Christians. Talking about taking people's words out of context--you now seem to be accusing me of statements I never made nor wrote.

People need to remember that she is an entertainer (comedian?) just like rush or hanitee or stern. They say what they say mostly for entertainment value and to sell books or air time. And she looks like she does as part of the package....shock value!

So look at her books as more comedic fiction and then it makes a lot more sense.

Now, is there really any other fine point to discuss at length here? I frankly am tired. However, if you want to continue this, look for my reply some hours from now.

Frankly, I didn't think there was anything that needed discussion, or explanation, after any of my posts. It's only necessary when you insist on making inferences or taking general statements too literally for a blog discussion. For example, would you deny that the majority of your statements about Christians and conservatives on this site are negative? And somehow you changed my statement that Rosie represents your viewpoint (has a majority of the same views) to saying that you are a Rosie-follower. If those statements mean the same thing to you, then we have vastly different ways of communicating. ;)
