Dead bodies and blood contaminate Tigris River.
“Iraqis used to love fried river fish, but are afraid to eat anything caught in the Tigris nowadays, since there are so many dead bodies floating in the river.” They were dumped there “during the sectarian blood-letting that has divided the capital.”

When is enough going to be enough?? Since 1991, the US government has been killing and killing and killing. Nearly 2 million are dead and generals are telling us the occupation is going to drag on for a decade or more.
Aggressive war was once punished as a war crime back at Nuremburg….and this aggressive war also holds serious moral and legal implications for all those involved…

The Iraqis don’t want to eat the fish because of the dead, bloated bodies floating in the river.
On the other hand, they have no electricity so they couldn’t even fry them if they wanted to.

Saddam Hussein kept an iron grip on Iraq and consequently kept the level of Sunni/Shia violence to a minimium. Of course, the Sunnis and Shia have been slaughtering one another for over 1000 years, so their fight is nothing new, but the incompetent and inept decisions made by the Bush Administration and the Coalition Provisional Authority contributed to the chaos. As Colin Powell said, we broke it so we own it and have responsibility for it.

Those who complain about the lack of “good news” being reported never mention any “good news” that’s being ignored. Either Faux News reporters are too scared to leave the hotel or there isn’t any good news to report.

Nothing under the Sun is new, but we’re the invaders now. The Empire is outgrowing it’s supply capabilities. It’s foot soldiers don’t even have a front-line to protect.
Sure, we’ll use Iraq for troop staging when we invade Iran, but where does this madness stop? Why did America need to become an Empire?

Upside > yep Halliburton would get the contract to bring in the piranna fish to eat the bodies in the Tigris River. The water is very warm so the fish would multiple quickly and then nobody would ever be able to swim in the river again.
