    You are so quick, zooey!!
Good one! Actually a good “two-fer” one
You zinged Freddie, and Tweety with the same few words!!

  3. pistol says:

    He looks like Frankenberry.

  4. willyloman says:

I’ll bet he looks good in a flight suit…Mathews thinks so.

  6. Badger says:

George Wills column in Newsweek warned republicans that a Thompson campaign could “pop” like a bursting bubble. He warns that they are seeing in Thompson what they crave, not what’s really there .
With misstatements like this, and a highly suspicious press, he won’t be able to get away with the same ACT that Reagan used succcessfully….ie. statements that sound good but are Bogus.

    Daily Fred Thompson Fact

Acceptable legal defense in every state: “Fred Thompson told me it was okay.”

  8. Paul in LA says:

ThinkProgress posted an AP LIE yesterday, and has not responded to requests for clarification or correction.

You are losing blogrolls by doing this, TP. It goes down on your record, and will keep on coming up whenever it is CLAIMED that TP is part of the reality-based community.

    • Are you REALLY just ideologues, willing to spread lies casually?

Are you really no different than the whores who run to hold the hand of the oppressors, who lie and defame, without concern for what others say?

Do you really think you can just not respond to your act of complicity with the AP in spreading a vicious lie? Do you have that much contempt for your readers?

We are INFORMED, we are not idiots. You cannot just publish lies and get away with it. You cannot treat your readers with disregard when they (and it isn’t just me) demand retraction, explanation, and clarification of your underlying motive in spreading this bullshit.

RESPOND. Or be labeled by your own actions as LIARS.

  9. Paul in LA says:

(I should have pointed out that the lie is in the AP quotation dealing with Thompson’s ‘work’ as a lobbyist for Aristide of Haiti’s gov’t. In the attempt to ding Thompson, ThinkProgress quoted an AP article which carries the famous canard about Aristide encouraging necklassing with a burning tire — something that has been debunked LONG AGO.)

Thompson’s radio commentary is rife with lies? That makes it in good company with this week’s ThinkProgress.

  10. piltdown says:

It’s ABC. EVERYTHING they broadcast is riddled with misinformation.

  11. Upside00 says:

It is quite amusing to watch the Repugs looking anywhere to find the ghost of ronnie raygunz. Freds Flintstone is the latest incarnation to wear the mask.

His work ethic may just catch up with him. (Oops, Dubya just proved that comment wrong). Then it will be his ties to big business and K street. (Darn, that seems to work for ALL the Repugs in office now.)

Well, something will come up, I am sure!

paul, i also sent the comments concerning this to TP
asking them to address this discrepancy…

i, too, was dissappointed with that one…

  13. Paul in LA says:

Hard to say which is more disappointing, the failure to respond, or the implication that TP has an axe to grind for the rightwing.

Someone posted that — someone doesn’t want to take responsibility.

But TP offices have received several complaints and requests for clarification — and maybe there is no staff, or maybe the someone who posted it doesn’t want to hear no guff from the cheap seats.

    Hard to tell. STINKS, though.

  14. muckdog says:

Easy, Paul. Isn’t this a joke news site, like The Onion? At best, it’s a left-wing propaganda site. I think it’s hilarious that so many folks spend all day in the Hate Zone. No wonder they’re all messed up.
