Senate kills efforts to make legalization more difficult.
“The Senate today killed a Republican proposal to require all adult illegal immigrants to return home temporarily in order to qualify for permanent lawful status in this country. What we need isn’t more cow bell, what we need are millions of more people in this country willing to make sure I don’t make as money at my job as I should. What we need is more confusion from people that don’t even see English as a second language. What we need are more patriots from other countries to come her and send more of our money out of this country. What we need is for my daughter to get a second rate eductaion, because the teacher spends half the school day repeating everything in another language.

Kinda outta touch since the REPUBLICANS for the most part ARE IN FAVOR OF THE AMNESTY BILL! In other words, THEY WANT TO KEEP THEM HERE.
June 27th, 2007 at 3:55 pmI am opposed to any immigration bill that allows any kind of special accommodations for the illegal immigrants who are here now. Each of these people needs to be immediately deported to their home country. Any and all benefits for illegals should be rolled back immediately. Then we need to go after the employers who are unlawfully hiring illegals and fine the crap out of them. A few years ago I was responsible for ensuring that all new employees in my office were entitled to work legally in this work. This is one of part of enforcement that needs to be adhered to. We also need to work out effective means to impeding illegal immigrants at the borders. I don’t know how this would be most effectively done — but there has to be a way.
Providing any kind of benefits to illegals is only an inducement that will continue to encourage illegal immigration.

June 27th, 2007 at 4:31 pmI think every employer who is caught hiring illegal immigrants should be fined $100,000 each, with a logarithmic progression, 100K for the first, 200K for the second, 400K for the third, 800K for the 4rth, and so on, and so on. The ONLY reason illegal people come here is for a job, and while I can certainly understand that, it needs to be done the RIGHT way. My grandparents immigrated LEGALLY from Russia to America. They and MILLIONS of people who came here legally, worked and became legal citizens are being slapped in the face, and all their hard work trivialized by this situation. We need to remove the reason they come here, and until they are here LEGALLY, no jobs, no nothing!!!!! They are BREAKING OUR LAWS. All I want is for the people to come here legally. I dont mind them here, they are good people who want jobs, BUT, follow our laws, learn OUR Language! Just like our parents/grandparents, great grandparents, etc….. did!!!
