“Federal prosecutors have recently contacted as many as a half dozen former aides to Rep. John Doolittle (R-CA), seeking information from them in their investigation of the Roseville Republican’s association with disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff,” the Sacramento Bee reports.

So long Doo. Another for the Grand old Docket!
June 28th, 2007 at 2:50 pmProbes? Oh, pretty please - with a cherry on top.
June 28th, 2007 at 2:52 pmDeep probes Jeff. Deep probes.
June 28th, 2007 at 2:52 pmHey Jeff,
I don’t think cherries make any good tops. If you manage to get your hands on a real cherry, just ask him for some pickle chugging or stay on top yourself.
Just a friendly advice.

June 28th, 2007 at 2:57 pmThis thread is just too gay.
June 28th, 2007 at 3:00 pmLooks like he might Doo-a-little time in the pokie.
June 28th, 2007 at 3:16 pmAlso Charlie brown is challenging Doolittle to disclose all his earmarks and Doolittle refuses. I never have and I don’t intend to start now,” Doolittle said. “It breaches confidentiality with constituents who make requests.”
June 28th, 2007 at 3:23 pmLooks like he will have a bunk-mate in the form of Tom Feeney (R-FL):

June 28th, 2007 at 3:26 pmDoolittle must be quite uncomfortable from the constant deep probing.
June 28th, 2007 at 3:41 pmLet’s remember - innocent until proven guilty. I’m glad to see due diligence is being done with an investigation. If a crime has been committed, they will need all the facts and evidence to support a guilty verdict. Until then, all we know is that an investigation is taking place - it doesn’t do our justice system any good to jump to conclusions.
I know all of this is obvious, but it just seemed like a good time to get it out there.
June 28th, 2007 at 3:49 pminnocent until proven guilty.
Oh yes. That’s a very popular role-play with the dems. In the end, they all plead guilty.
June 28th, 2007 at 4:20 pmWait a minute, I KNOW Mr. Doolittle has vehemently denied any wrongdoing whatsoever, it’s myfuckingwife, nothingtoseehere, demowitchhunt, and it’notfair.
So why do they keep investigating?
Jeez, the poor guy.
June 28th, 2007 at 4:21 pmAnd there is that “liberal” media again, calling Abramoff a “disgraced lobbyist”.
They should call him what he is: Corrupt, nefarious, influence-peddling Republican operative.
June 28th, 2007 at 4:28 pmJeff, please forgive me, but I don’t understand your post. I think you are disagreeing with me or making a partisan point, but I’m not sure.
I assume, and correct me if I’m wrong, that the concept of ‘innocent until proven guilty’ is central to our justice system, it applies equally, in court at least, to everyone accused of a crime, and is supported by people of all political stripes. If this assumption is not correct, I am very concerned for the health of our republic.

June 28th, 2007 at 4:36 pmHow many times do I have to say on TP that Doolittle is done and stick a fork in him please?!
June 28th, 2007 at 4:58 pmJeff, please forgive me, but I don’t understand your post. I think you are disagreeing with me or making a partisan point, but I’m not sure.
Oh no. Don’t get me wrong. I was just talking about the dems I’ve serviced in the past. They all like the judicial play. A stern judge or a lawyer asking them questions.
