Hersh: ‘Bush And Cheney’s Wet Dream Is Hitting Iran’

In February, Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Seymour Hersh wrote a piece in The New Yorker revealing that the Bush administration was setting its sights heavily on Iran, planning for a “possible bombing attack“:

Still, the Pentagon is continuing intensive planning for a possible bombing attack on Iran, a process that began last year, at the direction of the President. In recent months, the former intelligence official told me, a special planning group has been established in the offices of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, charged with creating a contingency bombing plan for Iran that can be implemented, upon orders from the President, within twenty-four hours.

On Tuesday, Hersh spoke more on the Bush administration’s focus on Iran at the Campus Progress National Conference. He said that President Bush and Vice President Cheney are ignoring the actual intelligence on Iran. The “intelligence community keeps on saying, ‘There’s no bomb there.’ And Cheney keeps on saying to the young briefing officers, ‘Thank you son, I don’t buy that.’” Hersh added, “George Bush’s and Dick Cheney’s wet dream is hitting Iran.” Watch it:

[flv http://video.thinkprogress.org/2007/06/syhershcp3.320.240.flv]

Hersh also stated that Bush likes to compare himself to Winston Churchill. Sources close to the President have heard him “say things like, ‘It’ll be 20 years before they appreciate me. … Yes, I may be at 30 percent in the polls, but in 20 or 30 years, they’ll appreciate what I’ve done.’”

HERSH: He also believes — and this I know from people — You know, one of the reasons I’m a good reporter is I have a lot of access to people that don’t talk otherwise. So I have over the years developed people that I talk to, and people have heard him say things like, “It’ll be 20 years before they appreciate me.”

He talks a lot about Winston Churchill. Churchill ran — he’s the guy who pulled England up during World War II. You’ve all read about him. But after the war — he was a Tory — a Conservative…everybody came home from the wars, scared to death about jobs, and they voted Labor. He was — Churchill was kicked out of office in ‘46. And that was an amazing thing because he had been such a hero to the English people. He got back in in ‘52 and then became a hero again.

Bush sees himself as somebody — that “yes, I may be at 30 percent in the polls, but in 20 or 30 years, they’ll appreciate what I’ve done.” And what they believe, he and Cheney — and I just know this in a first-hand way, I know what they’ve said in a first-hand way — they believe that whether Iran has a bomb or not — and there’s no evidence Iran does and it’s plenty of time and Iran may have all sorts of ambitions. And if I were in Iran, I’d be after what they say, all the threats they make.

Anyway, Iran is nowhere near a bomb, despite what you’ve heard. They’re years and years away and would stop tomorrow if you gave them a peace guarantee. They tried to do this in ‘03, as you remember. Anyway, they believe — the intelligence community keeps on saying, “There’s no bomb there.” And Cheney keeps on saying to the young briefing officers, “Thank you son, I don’t buy that,” in that nice pleasant tone.

And they believe that whether Iran has a bomb now or not, they can get one from Pakistan, from the Russian black market, and Nasrallah – the Hezbollah terrorist group — is embedded in America, even though there’s no evidence of that. They would be capable of getting a bomb smuggled into New York or Washington or wherever.

And so, what they think they’re doing — and you can’t use the word “delusional,” it’s actually in the DSM, it’s a medical term — wacky. And that’s a fair word. They believe they are protecting us from them. It’s not just keeping them from our shores, it’s protecting us from a nuclear holocaust. They really believe that — they don’t want to say so — they believe it. They’re not going to be persuaded otherwise.

And that’s why people like me, I’m going to get up in the morning — I’ve got a cold, so I might not have thought, but usually I have the thought that there are 554 days, that’s the bad news, the good news is I’m up today, that’s another day less. That’s about it. These guys are scary as hell.

QUESTION: In dealing with Iran, the U.S. finds itself handicapped at the negotiating table due to a lack of diplomatic dialogue between the countries for so long. What must America do, and who must do it, and who must it work with to diffuse tensions without resorting to military force?

HERSH: Well, you’ve got to have a coup to overthrow this guy. He’s not going to talk to Iranians. I don’t think he is no matter what, and that’s terrifying because the Iranians are more than willing to talk. America is a pretty powerful enemy, and I’ve been writing about this for two years in the New Yorker, and initially, everybody thought it was loony. It’s less loony now. I don’t know how to put it — George Bush’s and Dick Cheney’s wet dream is hitting Iran. Maybe I should rephrase that.

A – “Uh, no sir. Are you tired of the Obstructionism from Congress.”

    W – “That’s a good question Andy…”

  6. ace says:

So let’s look at what the human costs of dropping a tactical nuclear weapon on Iran might entail.

    They are astronomical.

“The number of deaths could exceed a million, and the number of people with increased cancer risks could exceed 10 million,” according to a backgrounder by the Union of Concerned Scientists from May 2005.

The National Academy of Sciences studied these earth-penetrating nuclear weapons last year. They could “kill up to a million people or more if used in heavily populated areas,” concluded the report, which was sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense.

Physicians for Social Responsibility examined the risks of a more advanced buster-bunker weapon, and it eerily tabulated the toll from an attack on the underground nuclear facility in Esfahan, Iran. “Three million people would be killed by radiation within two weeks of the explosion, and 35 million people in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India, would be exposed to increased levels of cancer-causing radiation,” according to a summary of that study in the backgrounder by the Union of Concerned Scientists.

Even if these estimates are off by a factor of two or three, I think we have unquestionably entered genocidal territory. We can only pray that these scientists are profoundly in error. (A much lower estimate is provided by the Oxford Research Group: up to 10,000 immediate deaths, although their report also predicts a much broader and protracted regional war to follow. That would obviously lead to many additional casualties.)

And please remember the overwhelmingly critical fact: we are talking about a threat — if it is one at all — that still lies five or ten years in the future. All these deaths, whatever their number, would result from an attack predicated on a potential threat that does not exist at present, or that will exist in the near future. Many Americans might still look to our “good intentions” and our “exceptionalism” to save them from identifying the savage and inhuman barbarism that the United States would then embody — but much of the rest of the world would not be forgiving or delusional on the required scale. There can never be any kind of forgiveness, even in the smallest degree, for this kind of act.

Why does Meyrav Wurmser oversee such distortions, to the benefit of Israel?

Why does the western media parrot her lies verbatim?

    David Wurmser:

What do Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, and David Wurmser have in common? We know that they’re in the cabal of neocons, who want to destroy the Middle East in order to benefit Israel. But what they specifically have in common, after the fall of Iraq, is their hostility toward Syria

“The CDI’s Ledeen, Amitay and Sobhani were featured speakers at a May 2003 forum on “the future of Iran’ sponsored by AEI, the Hudson Institute and the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. The forum, chaired by the Hudson Institute’s Meyrav Wurmser, the Israeli-born wife of David Wurmser (he serves as Cheney’s leading expert on Iran and Syria), included a presentation by Un Lubrani of Israel’s Ministry of Defense.

Summarizing the sentiment of neoconservative ideologues and strategists, Meyrav Wurmser said: “Our fight against Iraq was only a battle in a long war. It would be ill-conceived to think we can deal with Iraq alone. We must move on, and faster.”

  9. JMOHR says:

Frankly, Churchill was appreciated from the time that he took command of the British effort during WWII. I do not think that any opinion polls would have shown the same pathetic support that Il Duce has in this country. Churchill lost out politically after WWII, however, it had little to do with a lack of support for how he led the British in the war.

One can look at Churchill’s ability to unite a people (as opposed to Bush the Divider), create a sense of shared sacrifice (as opposed to the Bush feel good tax cuts for the rich during a war), and consider diverse opinions and quickly adapt to new situations or reverse a mistaken decision with a deep understanding of why his intellectual depth and curiosity marked him as a great leader. Bush – A FOOL.

Obviously, this is a hallmark of serious psychopatholgoy, as we’re all getting to witness with each passing day and debacle he’s clearly in the middle of.

  17. Roger_Roger says:

    Oh please,

It is the president’s job to have a plan B. We all hope that we can talk Iran down from their nuke ambitions. What happens if that fails to prduce any fruit in the next 6 months? We have few options left outside of a bombing campaign. Outside of bombing, I guess we could go with full scale war, but bombing seems like a better step to up the pressure on the Terrorists running Iran.

  18. ace says:

“Most people prefer to believe that their leaders are just and fair, even in the face of evidence to the contrary, because once a citizen acknowledges that the government under which he lives is lying and corrupt, the citizen has to choose what he or she will do about it. To take action in the face of corrupt government entails risks of harm to life and loved ones. To choose to do nothing is to surrender one’s self-image of standing for principles. Most people do not have the courage to face that choice. Hence, most propaganda is not designed to fool the critical thinker but only to give moral cowards an excuse not to think at all.”

I agree, first use of nuclear weapons is immoral. I often wonder what we would do, though, if terrorists detonated a nuke in New York. I would hate to be the President who had to make the decision of how to respond. NOT responding would not be an option.

Which makes it all the more important that Iran not get a nuke. But let’s face it, we are at war with Iran as we speak. They are funding, training and supplying our enemies in both Iraq and Afghanistan. The way we fight this war at present robs us of our strengths – Navy and Air Force – while playing to the strengths of Iran – religious fanatic suicide guerillas. I have read from several different sources for two days running that Iran’s Republican Guard has entered Iraq near Basra.

I realize these sentiments are not likely to be well looked upon on this site…I know what the Right thinks we should do about Iran (it was well detailed in the article), but what is the Left’s solution?

  25. ace says:

[How an "incident" can be used as an excuse for military aggression-ed.]

    Dangerous Crossroads: Tonkin II?

“An incident” in the Persian Gulf could be used by the US as a pretext for war against Iran.

A war pretext incident, similar to “the Gulf of Tonkin Incident”, which triggered the Vietnam war, could be used by US forces, with a view to justifying retaliatory military action against Iran.

In August 1964, President Lyndon B. Johnson claimed that North Vietnamese forces had attacked US destroyers in the Gulf of Tonkin. The Tonkin incident, which had been manipulated, contributed to unleashing a full-fledged war against Vietnam:

“A phantom attack on two U.S. destroyers cruising the Gulf of Tonkin was staged by the Pentagon and the C.I.A. The bogus attack occurred early in August, 1964. That evening President Lyndon Johnson went on television giving the grim details of the non-attack. Later, however, it was revealed that navy commander James Stockdale flew cover over the Gulf of Tonkin that night. Stockdale disclosed that U.S. ships were firing at phantom targets–targets that didn’t exist. The Gulf of Tonkin Incident that drew the U.S. into the quagmire of Viet Nam simply didn’t happen. Johnson, as presidents so often do, lied to the American people. The result was the rapid passage of the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, which was the sole legal basis for the Viet Nam War. As a result of Johnson’s lie, three million Vietnamese people and fifty eight thousand U.S. soldiers died.” (Charles Sullivan, Global Research, January 2006)

If it’s so damn well know, then you should be able to provide credible links – to Wikipedia or mainstream newspapers which definitively support your outrageous position.

Which trial results are you referring to that determined the guilt of those responsible for 9/11 and the anthrax attacks?

According to our own FBI, Bin Laden is NOT WANTED IN CONNECTION WITH 9/ – and they refuse to authenticate the purported “Confession Take” that you clearly drank like so much Kool-Aid

Extremely well said. A thoughtful, well reasoned analysis of why unleashing a nuclear bomb will be catastrophic for Iran. I would like to add that a nuclear strike against Iran would most likely contaminate Iran’s drinking supply, possibly killing upwards of 500,000 Iranians. I had just finished watching Sir! No Sir! on DVD, an incredibly moving and powerful look at the GI Movement during the Vietnam War, and was struck how in Iraq and now with Iran the United States has not learned the lessons of Vietnam by being so eager to unleash bombs and terror against other countries for reasons that, like Vietnam, have been based upon lies.

Actually it is you who is making extraordinary claims. There is no proof of your assertations and they are scientifically impossible.

One question I have for you; If it was islamic extremists who were behind the anthrax attacks, then why were the two attacks aimed at two members who were voting AGAINST the Patriot Act I? And why did the Islamics use anthrax that was from a US lab?

It is the president’s job to have a plan B. We all hope that we can talk Iran down from their nuke ambitions. What happens if that fails to prduce any fruit in the next 6 months? We have few options left outside of a bombing campaign. Outside of bombing, I guess we could go with full scale war, but bombing seems like a better step to up the pressure on the Terrorists running Iran.

    Comment by Roger_Roger

Of course, a plan B would be nice. But think about it Rx2: The same dismal performance by Bushco will simply be taken to another country (Iran). This is the ‘gang that cou;dn’t shoot straight, and you want them invading or bombing another soverign nation? The managers of the Iraq war are complete failures and you want them to turn their pathetic skills on another country? The wrong leaders brought the US into the wrong war, at the wrong time, for all of the wrong reasons. If our brave soldiers didn’t have imbeciles like Rumsfeld, cheney, bush, rice, making their decisions, then maybe the invasion of iraq would have been won. The same group of losers are now going to start ‘getting it right’? No way. The neocons are on the wrong side of history. thoughtful people already know this, do you?

Here’s to that! But I am not accepting “the Bush Regimes” lie as fact – Iran has been our sworn enemy for a long time. Are you saying Iran ISN’T helping our enemies in Iraq and Afghanistan? It is really not possible for either of us to KNOW this, but why would you assume they weren’t just because Bush said they were?

I would like to WIN the war we’re in. Iran is the nexus of Islamo-Fascism. I feel like it is 1944, D-Day was a success but we are refusing to cross the Rhine.

    Comment by Keltoi — June 28, 2007 @ 5:08 pm

But seriously, do the libs on this site think Iran is NOT a threat? That we can allow them to develop nukes and dominate the Middle East?

    1945 America develops nukes
1953 America overthrows popular elected government of Iran and together with Saudi Arabian allies dominated the Middle East
1953 – 1978 Iran run as a fascist police state by the Shah and the SAVAK – America rightly deserves the blame of the Iranians

I kinda like driving. I also sense a fair amount of Israel-hate on this site – are the libs here willing to watch “Holocaust: The Sequel”?

Israel-hate? Prove it. You’ll see some crypto trolls posting false flag antisemitism from time to time, but don’t mistake criticism of Israeli policy in Palestine and beyond for ‘anti-semtism’ – that’s sloppy thinking on your part – read something other than your spoon-fed American media.

I tend to take people at their word when they say they want to “wipe Israel off the map.” Sure, but the irony of your so-called quote here is that Ahmadinejad didn’t say that.

Read some Juan Cole and you’ll see why. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article17925.htm

“Ahmadinejad did not use that phrase in Persian. He quoted an old saying of Ayatollah Khomeini calling for ‘this occupation regime over Jerusalem” to “vanish from the page of time.’ Calling for a regime to vanish is not the same as calling for people to be killed. Ahmadinejad has not to my knowledge called for anyone to be killed.”

    and this:

“If Ahmadinejad is a genocidal maniac who just wants to kill Jews, then why are there 20,000 Jews in Iran with a member of parliament in Tehran? Couldn’t he start at home if that was what he is really about? ”

Ahmadinejad shouldn’t get a free pass on what he did say – meaning regime change in Palestine which since he doesn’t recognize Israel he considers all of Palestine together. And certainly is Holocaust denial is part of an odious campaign to influence Iranian public opinion. But neither then should you just take what someone mistranslated and go off parrotting the talking point. So yeah, take him at his word, when you’ve accurately read what he has actually said there skippy.

Ahmadinejad has his own troubles besides: http://uk.news.yahoo.com/rtrs/20070627/tpl-uk-iran-gasoline-rationing-9562ed3.html

I guess I will chime in. The ‘identified’ hijackers were listed as 15 Saudis, 1 Egyptian, 1 Lebanese, 2 from union of Arab Emirates. I didn’t see Iran or Iraq on the list… That of course is if you believe the ‘Official’ Conspiracy Theory. There are too many unanswered questions, very weird coincidences, and discrepancies to just accept the “Official” version at face value. When you start really digging into the details of circumstances before, during and after 9/11, the official story defies logic in too many areas. I am not just talking about the three buildings collapsing. There are too many things that still need to be looked at and answered more thoroughly. I for one want an independent investigation. A real investigation.

As far as the Anthrax attacks, you saw that as a second wave? Of what?

That investigation faded away into the netherworld as soon as they traced that militarized anthrax to the lab it came from. (In the USA)..

Is it just a coincidence that the Patriot Act gets introduced 13 days after 9/11, all 342 pages – already written and bound (when has our government ever been that quick or efficient at anything? This thing had clearly already been written before the attack and was ready to go), and when two DEMOCRATIC senators, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy and Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, tried to slow the process down a little so that people would have more time to read and study it, they are the ONLY two senators who get the militarized anthrax sent to their offices?? . The anthrax was delivered to their offices on October 9. The anthrax sent to those offices was a clear threat and an attempt at intimidation. Russ Feingold was the only Senator to vote against the Patriot Act. The Patriot Act was rushed through Congress in just six weeks and passed on October 17, 2001. I’m not sure if anyone even read it first..

    I’ll play along……

Airplanes, which have YET to be 100% identified by one of the 100’s of traceable parts, flew into 2 of the biggest buildings in NY city.

A third one Hit the Pentagon in DC, all the while our military was picknicking somewhere nice and was unable to get into their planes for over 2 hours to intercept and/or shoot down these planes.

The fouth plane was said to have “crashed” into the ground in PA, and it threw it’s debris for over 4 miles in some cases…..

The govt. quickly had the names and pictures of these bastards within hours, and showed them on the TV.

Then the BBC told us that a 3rd tower had fell down….. OOOPS that was reported to early because it was in the background, and then their transmission went out.

The govt. blamed OBL and we then attacked Afganistan, which was going to be attacked ANYWAY because the Taliban would not cooperate with Bush to put a big oil pipline in across the country……

I think that about sums it up……

    HITLER

    The Reichstag Burns

Adolf Hitler, the new Chancellor of Germany, had no intention of abiding by the rules of democracy. He intended only to use those rules to legally establish himself as dictator as quickly as possible then begin the Nazi revolution.

Even before he was sworn in, he was at work to accomplish that goal by demanding new elections. While Hindenburg waited impatiently in another room, Hitler argued with conservative leader Hugenberg, who vehemently opposed the idea. Hitler’s plan was to establish a majority of elected Nazis in the Reichstag which would become a rubber stamp, passing whatever laws he desired while making it all perfectly legal.

Hitler’s storm troopers were about to reach new heights of power of their own and begin a reign of terror.

President Hindenburg had fallen under Hitler’s spell and was signing just about anything put in front of him. He signed an emergency decree that put the German state of Prussia into the hands of Hitler confidant, Vice Chancellor Papen. Göring as Minister of the Interior for Prussia took control of the police. Prussia was Germany’s biggest and most important state and included the capital of Berlin.

Göring immediately replaced hundreds of police officials loyal to the republic with Nazi officials loyal to Hitler. He also ordered the police not to interfere with the SA and SS under any circumstances. This meant that anybody being harassed, beaten, or even murdered by Nazis, had nobody to turn to for help.

Bush is a complete dolt but he managed to successfully pull-off the biggest terror attack in history. Or Cheney did, whatever.

They managed to get explosives perfectly placed in multiple locations in not only skyscrapers but also the ultra-secure Pentagon without a single person seeing them or getting suspicious at the activity.

Then Bush/Cheney made four planes, full of crew and passengers, to completely disappear without a trace. Fake cell-phone calls were made, fake distress signals, fake radar signatures, fake IFF plane signals, fake everything that completely and utterly fooled hundreds of civilians who would have been at home and work talking to people on those planes.

And either the Bush/Cheney deadly duo did this all themselves or they had help, and not ONE of those helpers ever had second thoughts about the terrible deed they had committed to come forward and gush out the truth?

Finally, Bush/Cheney managed 911 but they couldnt stash a few dozen barrels of WMD in the Iraqi desert or create a fake nuclear lab in Tikrit to get the dems off their back?

So my comment does not fall under the ‘not the brightest’ category, it is simply that Keltoi’s post to ace showed while I was writing my post and I didn’t see what he had said. If you can’t keep it civil, you should probably find someone else to post to.

Ledeen’s ideas are repeated daily by such figures as Richard Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and Paul Wolfowitz. His views virtually define the stark departure from American foreign policy philosophy that existed before the tragedy of Sept. 11, 2001. He basically believes that violence in the service of the spread of democracy is America’s manifest destiny. Consequently, he has become the philosophical legitimator of the American occupation of Iraq.

Now Michael Ledeen is calling for regime change beyond Iraq. In an address entitled “Time to Focus on Iran — The Mother of Modern Terrorism,” for the policy forum of the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA) on April 30, he declared, “the time for diplomacy is at an end; it is time for a free Iran, free Syria and free Lebanon.”

With a group of other conservatives, Ledeen recently set up the Center for Democracy in Iran (CDI), an action group focusing on producing regime change in Iran.

Quotes from Ledeen’s works reveal a peculiar set of beliefs about American attitudes toward violence. “Change — above all violent change — is the essence of human history,” he proclaims in his book, “Machiavelli on Modern Leadership: Why Machiavelli’s Iron Rules Are as Timely and Important Today as Five Centuries Ago.” In an influential essay in the National Review Online he asserts, “Creative destruction is our middle name. We do it automatically … it is time once again to export the democratic revolution.”

Iraq, Iran and Syria are the first and foremost nations where this should happen, according to Ledeen. The process by which this should be achieved is a violent one, termed “total war,” a concept pioneered by the 19th century Prussian general, Karl von Clausewitz in his classic book “On War.”

Ledeen’s take on this idea is wedded to ideology. In summarizing his book “The War Against the Terror Masters” on the American Enterprise Institute Web site, he writes: “We wage total war because we fight in the name of an idea, and ideas either triumph or fail … totally.” In his reckoning, force is the only reliable strategy to enforce our ideology on our enemies. In the same summary he claims, drawing inspiration from Machiavelli: “We can lead by the force of high moral example … [but] fear is much more reliable, and lasts longer. Once we show that we are capable of dealing out terrible punishment to our enemies, our power will be far greater.”

JINSA, a neoconservative organization established in 1976 that fosters closer strategic and military ties between the United States and Israel, also has its sights on Iran. At a JINSA policy forum in April 2003 titled “Time to Focus on Iran-The Mother of Modern Terrorism,” Ledeen declared, “The time for diplomacy is at an end; it is time for a free Iran, free Syria and free Lebanon.”

JINSA, along with CSP, serves as one of the main institutional links to the military-industrial complex for neoconservatives. Ledeen served as JINSA’s first executive director and was JINSA’s “Godfather,” according to Amitay. Amitay is a JINSA vice chair. JINSA board members or advisers also include former CIA director James Woolsey, former Rep. Jack Kemp and the AEI’s Joshua Muravchik. After he joined the administration, Feith resigned from JINSA.’s board of advisers, as did Vice President Dick Cheney and Undersecretary of State for Arms Control John Bolton.”

I’ve mentioned on several occasions in this column a study of the cabal that appeared in 1996, entitled “Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm.” It contains a call for removing the Saddam Hussein regime, followed by attacking Syria and finding an alternative to Yasser Arafat.

This study became the Bush administration’s policy after 11 September 2001. Since the part related to Iraq has been achieved, the cabal is now working to implement the portion concerning Syria.

Iran remains a final goal, but Iran is very strong and the US needs to isolate all of its allies (such as Syria) and disarm them (such as Hezbollah), before taking on the Islamic Republic.

The study called on Israel to ally with Turkey and Iran and strike at Syria through Lebanon, just as Wurmser has written time and time again calling for joint US-Israeli efforts against Syria. Wurmser repeated this call in 2000

Whatever I say about Wurmser isn’t sufficient to describe how dangerous he is for the Palestinians, Syria and every Arab country. He’s absolutely Israeli; he wants the US to wage Israel’s wars in the Middle East. Wurmser’s name has been linked to the Office of Special Plans, which Douglas Feith at the Pentagon created to shape intelligence supporting a war against Iraq when the intelligence organizations failed to provide the necessary lies. Wurmser worked as an advisor to John Bolton at the Pentagon and the two try to outdo each other in peddling lies about Syria and inciting the Bush administration against it. Bolton moved to the United Nations, where Bush appointed him Washington’s ambassador in the face of congressional opposition, and during its summer recess. Wurmser, meanwhile, moved to Dick Cheney’s office and both continued to spread their poison against Arabs and Muslims. Iraq was one step, and Syria was another. The cause is Israel and how it can dominate the region in the face of a huge majority of peoples that the cabal is trying to strip of their independence.

I hope readers appreciate the fact that I’m not exaggerating, because it is difficult to exaggerate the danger posed by an Israeli apologist like Wurmser to Arab interests.

He was a party to the event….. Does not mean he “pulled it off”….. More than likely he was told to go along or to watch the movie JFK…..

“They managed to get explosives perfectly placed in multiple locations in not only skyscrapers but also the ultra-secure Pentagon without a single person seeing them or getting suspicious at the activity.”

Who said that the Pentagon had explosives placed in it????? It was MORE LIKELY a drone with a bomb on board….

    “Then Bush/Cheney made four planes,”

    See above regading this…

” full of crew and passengers, to completely disappear without a trace.”

You think that is diffucult???? Especially when ALL 4 planes were 1/4 full???

” Fake cell-phone calls were made,”

YES….. Odd how if cell phones can be used so easily on planes pre 9/11 that the airline companies are spending Millions of dollars installing systems to allow cell phones to work after 9/11. Also, it is OBVIOUS that you have no basic understanding of how cell phones or RF works…..

    ” fake distress signals,”

There was NOT ONE distress signal from the planes…… There was a voice anouncement from one of the “supossed” hijackers, but NOT ONE distress signal…….

    ” fake radar signatures,”

What do you think those war games were doing????? They were injecting FALSE blips into the radar for their games…..

    ” fake IFF plane signals,”

    You think that is difficult???

” fake everything that completely and utterly fooled hundreds of civilians who would have been at home and work talking to people on those planes.”

HUNDREDS?????? Take some medication buddy…… There were “maybe” two dozen calls made….. And YES, when in a noisy enviroment it does not take much for a voice to be impersinated so that even the mother would not know the difference.

“And either the Bush/Cheney deadly duo did this all themselves or they had help, and not ONE of those helpers ever had second thoughts about the terrible deed they had committed to come forward and gush out the truth?”

Not if it was largely people from OUTSIDE the US…… Those that were part in the US were either lied to about what was going to happen or were killed. If they were not killed they were certainly told that they would be if they did talk. Don’t believe that people could keep quiet?? Just look at how the Admin smears Patriots like Tice or Siebel Edmonds……

“Finally, Bush/Cheney managed 911 but they couldnt stash a few dozen barrels of WMD in the Iraqi desert or create a fake nuclear lab in Tikrit to get the dems off their back?”

They tried…… I guess you missed that report of Brewster Jennings stopping a shipment of WMD’s from Turkey??????

Trolls can be existing members of a community that rarely post and often contribute no useful information to the thread, but instead make argumentative posts in an attempt to discredit another person, concentrating almost exclusively on facts irrelevant to the point of the conversation, with the intent of provoking a reaction from others. The key element under attack by a troll is known only to the troll.

He has no facts to refute what I post, and can provide no links to any valid information – so he just inserts himself to disrupt the flow and drive others away from enlightened discussion.

A latter allusion was to the film, Apocolypse Now. “I love the smell of nepalm in the morning.” Actually quite a famous phrase. Skipped right over your head. Bush’s Defeated Foe: US Civil Liberty

    By Paul Craig Roberts

If anyone had predicted that the election of George W. Bush to the presidency would result in an American police state and illegal wars of aggression, he would have been dismissed as a lunatic.

What American could have imagined that if such crimes and travesties occurred, nothing would be done about them and that the media and opposition party would be largely silent?

    http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article15703.htm

WHAT INCIDENT SILENCED THE OPPOSITION PARTY AND THE MEDIA?

THE ANTHRAX ATTACKS – THE ONES THE PRESS SEEMS TO HAVE FORGOTTEN EVER OCCURRED.

THE ANTHRAX ATTACKS – THE ONES THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION FAILS TO REMEMBER WHEN PROCLAIMING THAT AMERICA HAS NOT BEEN STRUCK BY DOMESTIC TERROR SINCE 9/11.

CBS News ran a story recently on the ANTHRAX ATTACKS of five years ago. Their newscast stated that there are no leads, and the FBI is considering designating the attacks a “COLD CASE.”

    That is a lie.

The anthrax came from a Rumsfeld-controlled DOD facility.

The Anthrax attacks were against the most prominent media talking heads, and against one member of the media who published photos of the Bush Twins drunk.

The Anthrax Attacks were also against Tom Daschle and other Democrats who opposed the invasion of Iraq and Warrantless Domestic Wire Tapping

Rumsfeld ordered it. Dr. Zack did it. It was US DOD Anthrax.

  247. JG says:

You know, a really good resource to read is Paul Thompson’s book “The Terror Timeline”. It is pretty thick and fairly tedious to get through, but a great resource for the details. It is a comprehensive chronicle of the road to 9/11, going back years but mostly focused around 9/11, using ALL sourced info from MSM. You cannot read it without ending up asking a lot of questions yourself. I learned a LOT that I hadn’t read anywhere else. The next best source that I read was “The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions and Distortions” by David Ray Griffin. That book really got me to thinking and raised many more questions that have yet to be answered adequately.

I think the most important thing is to look for yourself and ask questions. It doesn’t help anyone anywhere to follow blindly without question. Especially with an Administration in charge of decision and policy-making that has not exactly proved themselves to be so very honest, transparent and forthright. And asking questions is NOT un-American, regardless of what this Administration says..

The desire to hit Iran is an irrational oil-fueled dream that has festered in neo-con minds since 1979. Iran is quite willing to concede to Israel’s right to exist. And they are not a threat to the USA.

“Ptech was with MITRE Corporation in the basement of the FAA for two years prior to 9/11,” Singh said. “Their specific job is to look at interoperability issues the FAA had with NORAD and the Air Force in the case of an emergency. If anyone was in a position to know that the FAA – that there was a window of opportunity or to insert software or to change anything – it would have been Ptech along with MITRE.”

COMVERSE INVESTIGATION TIED TO REPORTER’S BEATING AT THE HANDS OF HOMELAND SECURITY GOONS AS POLICE LOOK ON?

Christopher Bollyn, investigative journalist for American Free Press, was beaten and arrested on trumped-up charges at his home in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

    Excerpt:

Apart from my un-disclosable investigation, the other calls were about how Jacob “Kobi” Alexander was able to flee with more than $60 million dollars last week, several months after it was public knowledge that he and the other Israelis working with Comverse Technology, Ltd. had swindled hundred of millions through fraudulent stock options trades. This has been going on for years, and The Wall Street Journal and Globes (Israel) reported the names and the amounts last March. For crying out loud, my newspaper, American Free Press, reported it in April 2005.

I wanted to know from the SEC and the U.S. Attorney’s office how this Kobi Alexander was able to wire $60 million to his account in Israel and flee New York without any body stopping him.

    http://www.rumormillnews.com/cgi-bin/forum.cgi?noframes;read=91920

WHAT ROLE DID COMVERSE PLAY IN THE EVENTS OF 9/11?

Well, according to this 4 part investigative series by FOX News, plenty:

    http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article7545.htm

It turns out that Odigo, the paging system owned by Comverse, was used to alert Israeli Nationals to steer clear of the World Trade Towers fully two hours before the attacks of 9/11.

Comverse is also the company that handles all of the back-end billing for virtually every phone company in the United States – having built-in a backdoor to wiretap nearly every call made.

Israel had spies crawling all over the United States at some of our most sensitive facilities prior to 9/11:

    http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/deareportisraelispying.html

Bollyn had also revealed in a prior article that Michael Chertoff is actually a citizen of Israel:

CONTROLLED PRESS HIDES CHERTOFF’S ISRAELI ROOTS

    Date: Friday, 4 March 2005, 1:32 p.m.

    http://www.rumormillnews.com/cgi-bin/archive.cgi?read=66175

Remember that Chertoff had been tasked with tracking the funding behind 9/11 under the name “OPERATION GREENQUEST.” In reality – this was an effort to coverup the funding trail:

“The FBI-Justice move [to take over the investigation], pushed by DOJ Criminal Division chief Michael Chertoff and Deputy Attorney General Larry Thompson, has enraged Homeland Security officials, however. They accuse the bureau [Chertoff] of sabotaging Greenquest investigations—by failing to turn over critical information to their agents—and trying to obscure a decadelong record of lethargy [actually criminal obstruction] in which FBI offices failed to aggressively pursue terror-finance cases.

“They (the FBI) won’t share anything with us,” said a Homeland Security official. “Then they go to the White House and they accuse us of not sharing … If they can’t take it over, they want to kill it.”

Third, as Faryeed Zacharia (sp?) explains, before the state of Israel was formed, Jews and Arabs got along just fine. Just as blacks and whites in America have not only come to terms we are one, as are Jews and Christians in my American community. Israel must take responsibility. The US is not at the beck and call of Israel – or at leat we shouldn’t be. Israel must appreciate and respect its neighbors.

  273. JG says:

They are traitors to our country and should pay for their crimes. (ps Cheney ordered the Anthrax attacks)

It is interesting to remember that it was reported in a couple of news sources after 9/11 that reported that Cheney had ordered his staff to start taking CIPRO weeks before the anthrax attacks began. (President Bush also started taking CIPRO weeks before). CIPRO is the drug of choice to treat patients exposed to Anthrax.

Now, would a rational person look at that and want to ask why? (As in were they just psychic or was this planned)?
Or would a rational person just look the other way and just call it a coincidence and let it go?

Don’t you think that is worthy of asking questions and getting real answers? If you remember, more than 22 people developed anthrax infections, with 11 of the especially life-threatening inhalation variety. Five died of inhalation anthrax and the country was put into another state of fear on the heals of the attack of 9/11. It directly influenced the speedy passing of a very significant law which resulted in the erosion of our civil liberties, allowed for wider surveillance of American citizens, the indefinite detention of suspects without being charged, and opened that door to torture. It was a power grab for the executive branch that gave them more power with less accountability.

It is worthy of investigation and necessary HARD questions need to be asked and answered.

Yes, and I have heard the trolls argue here that that shows how strong and great we are!

I have not found a neocon that is not operating out of fear! And they understand how to turn reality upside down by using that fear they know so well, on everybody else.

They are frightened, like little children who wake to see the shadow on the wall, and see a boogy man in their room. They scream for their daddy to slay the apparition and cheer him when he does.

And now, as little children in grownup bodies, they act out their fears with real guns and bombs on enemies created in the fantasies of their little minds.

IQs and Mensa have been brought up, as if these things have anything to do with the psychology involved in the neocon mind. These are sociopaths of the most dangerous order. Reason and logic, not to mention things like empathy, are simply not in their makeup. There is no value in discussion with seriously disturbed people. They argue with facts only to justify their insanity.

It has been convincingly shown by Justin Frank, in his book, “Bush On The Couch.” that “W” is a megalomanic and suffering from ADHD. A terribly disturbed dry drunk who has taken on the persona of a “man close to god.” That he needs therapy is a given. Driven by fear (and perhaps guile) he sees, as his salvation, future generations setting him alongside Churchill and Lincoln. That he is delusional is shown as well, by his bragging about how big and strong and great he is. Great men spend their time solving problems, not worrying about their place in the history books.

PIP, there’s no need to debunk every conspiracy theory. Afterall, what we know by the CIA’s own admission is scary enough. And the “Family Jewels” released this week was mostly about crazy conspiracies that failed. I would like to know more about the criminal CIA schemes that succeeded.

Admittedly, the thought of Ahmadinejad getting nukes isn’t comforting. But Iran is a few years away and Ahmadinejad is not the supreme ruler and isn’t likely to survive the next election as he’s not done too well in domestic policy. (How like American politics!)

I am, however, very frightened that two warmongering nutcases like Bush & Cheney have the power to nuke anyone they choose and they have an arsenal of thousands of nukes with which to do it. In nearly every Doomsday scenario, it was the possiblility that some deluded President or Soviet premier pushing the red button and killing all humanity that moved the hand so close to midnight. And now we see how easily it was for a deluded and inarticulate man to become president and for a manipulative SOB to set up a parallel government as Vice President.

Poottie, as Bush so lovingly refers to the dictator, attributed the horror to Chechnyan rebels, providing grounds for a harsh crackdown in retaliatio. Pootie did it. He killed innocent civilians, blamed it on a goup he dubs terrorists. Yep, the war on “terror” didn’t start here, it just seemed like such a good idea.

    Dub’ya, say it ain’t so. You didn’t.

    I think you did.

In February, Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Seymour Hersh wrote a piece in The New Yorker revealing that the Bush administration was setting its sights heavily on Iran, planning for a “possible bombing attack“:

And the previous February he was saying that they were already conducting covert sabotage operations for pending bombing attacks.

So in reality Hersh is reporting that the Bush Administration has decreased it’s desire to attack Iran, as this is now only a desire rather than something that was already covertly under way.

Oh and that he’s been fed BS when it comes to Iran, as per your own archives of his claims over the past couple of years.

Actually, Cheney will need another false flag in order to get the public behind his nuking Syria, er I mean Jordan, umm I really mean Iran. oh what the hell, he’ll just nuke all of em!
    Comment by truth — June 28, 2007 @ 4:36 pm

6 years on and still nobody willing to explain the first “false flag” of Cheney’s.

The striking lack of Iraqis involved in the hijackings, the group responsible, having any connection no matter how slim to the group responsible.

The overwhelming links to Saudi Arabia that would have been Bush/Cheney’s last preference right below having Swedish hijackers.

It’s never explained how a non-retarded person could consider this a “false-flag” attack when no nations were implicated and those that logically were are completely absolved.

On a generational piece in Iraq:

Unfortunately Bush may well be right. Just like any nation embroiled in chaos there’s the distinct possibility Iraq will be a peaceful nation twenty years from now. This is what’s left in the wake of a nuclear holocaust.

One could equally predict that in twenty years our very own country will turn into today’s Iraq.

Furthermore, the proposed details of the hydrocarbon law–which the mainstream media refuses to examine–would open access and control of a majority of Iraq’s oil fields to top U.S. mult-national corporations.

Obviously this means that the assumption that Iraq become a peaceful, democratic nation would assume that the acquisition of the only resource that has provided the Iraqis food, shelter and health care will somehow be able to coincide with peace.

This is such an amazingly ignorant belief–talking point–which just adds to the whole “Blood for Oil” deal. The real question is this: is this deliberate or is it true that Bush is merely Cheney’s puppet, a man grossly incapable and incompetent of reality.

    To me, both apply.

Small neutron bombs will be used on Iran and its nuke installations and these bombs leave little fall-out. Neutron bomb-flash radiation kills living things, but leaves buildings and installations, such as oilfields, intact. The US won’t occupy all of Iran, only the oil regions south of Ahvas. The rest of Iran will be bombed and cruise-missiled into the stone age. This will delight Sunni Moslems. US casualties should be minimal. Then it will be Venezuela’s turn, but all that jungle might make things a bit tricky. Better let the Brazilians seize the oilfields…

However, of course, what George and Dick don’t realise is that the US officer corps is 80 years out of date, inefficient, wasteful, and barely able to write or join up the letters in words such as ‘computer’ or ‘technology’. Hence, it will all go wrong, as in Iraq, and on 9/11. So best not to attack Iran until the military top brass is reformed and completely purged of incompetents and wackos.

    Comment by remember911

Remember911, your arguments are painfully hemorrhaging with ignorance, incoherence, and irrationality. Let’s start by rectifying your misinformation.

First, neither the Iranian nor Iraqi government were ever implicated in the 9/11 attacks; this is the official conclusion of the Bush administration. If you disagree, the burden of proof is yours. Second, the anthrax attacks were never successfully pinned on anyone, much less the Iranian government. Third, anthrax is a biological, not a chemical, weapon.

Next, I will address your advocation of a preemptive strike against Iran. This dynamic is know a ‘Hobbesian Trap.’ When both parties believe the other is willing to strike first, the only logical strategy is to preempt the enemy, even if neither side actually wishes to fight. This makes the current hard-line policy of gunboat diplomacy a very dangerous game, especially if the Iranians have a nuclear ace up their sleeve.

Your implicit assumption that Iran would launch a nuclear first strike, when not being threatened with first strike themselves is ill-founded. If Iran were to detonated an atomic weapon on US soil, we would turn their country into glass; this fact has not escaped their leadership. The Mullahs are not so irrational as to wish this upon themselves and their entire nation.

As far as a solution to the impasse goes, there is a viable diplomatic option. Iran has indicated they are willing to abandon their nuclear ambitions in return for a security guarantee — that is to say we will ensure neither the US nor Israel, both nuclear armed states, will attack Iran. This does not strike me as an unreasonable alternative to the current course-of-action: bomb them and start WW IV.

As for your shabby guilt-by-association thesis, have you actually considered the implications of such a position? The only thing connecting the official perpetrators of 9/11 to the Iranians is their religion and even this is tenuous at best. Would you be willing to hold the entire Christian community responsible for the acts of a radical Christian terrorist group? This dynamic is impossible to reconcile without holding a double standard.

I eagerly await your flaccid retort.

  312. Ian Watson says:

I like the term delusional although it does not go far enough to describe what really is going on in the White House, its almost schizophrenic and messianic the extent that Bush and Cheney believe that Iran will be a pushover and will quail under their might power.

Historically, Iran has been the very bane of America in the 20th century, each time America with toadying Britain reached out to interfere in Iran it went wrong, blew up in thier collective faces and they lost a heck of a lot each time in monetary, credibility values.

We know since the Enterprise has steamed to join the other carriers that the game is on, that their plans are near to fruition, Cheney really does believe his own bull that Iran is some backward nation ready to fight back with the equivalent of spears and rocks, this is a very very big mistake for the US because Russia has quietly armed Iran to the teeth with state of the art hardware and yes we know Iran is going to get pounded into the ground pretty much but unlike Iraq it is likely that Iran will more than bloody Bush’s nose.

I believe it will be triggered by the US sailing one of its ships into range of the Iranian SunBurns, not just any old ship either but a carrier no less as this will be iconic for the American people to unite with and the well oiled media machine will whip up a frenzy in the US and its allies to punish Iran for such a heinous crime.

This is the trap, its ironic that Churchill ordered the scuttling of HMS Ark Royal who could have been save but Churchill and the propaganda team of HM Government thought it better that such a tragedy would unify the British people further into defying the Germans.

Maybe Bush and Blair will be remembered in 20-30 years, let us hope that it is for the singular fact that these men were remembered for facing the justice for what they have done, for their war crimes, for their bringing to the brink of armageddon this planet.

But ask yourselves this… Do you have the courage to resist, to stop this, to bring about an end to this because if your politicians cannot, what chance do you have?

Those of you that think that the American government does not give a rat’s a$$ about American lives are sadly mistaken. Loss of life is not something that is taken lightly on any level. It happens, yes… But until you’ve served for your country will you fully understand this. Not so much…

Ian, seriously… If Iran was fighting with spears and rocks, would they be that much of a concern to world affairs? You can’t bring down the Twin Towers (may they rest in peace) with spears and rocks. Iran wasn’t involved with 9/11 blah blah blah. There’s evidence that Iran is currently housing/funding radical Islamic groups. If you have some top secret CIA information that proves otherwise, please share. Then I can email you at your jail cell for knowing way more than you should know. Why must you glorify the superior military might of Iran anyways? The war on Iraq is still up for debate. (Whole other topic I’m not going to touch.) There’s people on both sides of the fence. The confidence of the American public is shattered currently. They and their allies are creating the problems, sending in SAS commandos, for example, in Basra, dressed as Arabs, with the trunk of the car laden with IUDs, another incident (two actually, now the minarets) technicians spending hours in the Golden Mosque placing explosives and doing an excellent job of it (check out this story on my website Who is this smirking monster behind Condie?

  326. Serge says:

‘are you serious’ commented ‘does it really make sense to place the most powerful military asset ever conceived, besides our ballistic missle submarines, into harms way intentionally?’

Quite true. Therefore, my guess is it will be an obsolete British aircraft carrier destroyed by a fake ‘Iranian’ missile (captured in South Lebanon) and tipped with a small nuke launched by a US-led special black ops team from a lonely Iranian beach. This will justify US use of its own nukes, neutron bombs and other secret weopons. Any evidence will be at the bottom of the Persian Gulf.

To the British the ‘bulldog spirit and Churchill’ will come into play, and of course the US will immediately come to the rescue of its ally.

People are reluctant to look into the abyss. But my conclusions are:- we’re not looking into the abyss – WE ARE ALREADY DEEP INTO THE ABYSS! Let’s not pull punches here or be euphemistic: a ruthless and amoral GOVERNMENT MURDER SYNDICATE has gained control of the top echelons of executive government in the US. It committed a despicable atrocity on 9/11 against the US Constitution and the American People to further its own nefarious agenda. And it has been given, by a supine and negligently complicit House of Representatives, Senate, and Supreme Court, complete control of all Federal and State armed forces and Police and unfettered control of nuclear and other weopons and the right to so use these forces where and whenever they so wish. It also controls NATO, and those member countries contribute to its resources and power. At any time foreign wars could be initiated on totally false, lying pretexts. At any time massive domestic repression could be unleashed to bolster those wars and suppress revolution (The real purpose of FEMA)!

What has happened to the Constitution? What has happened to all those ‘checks and balances’ that were supposed to prevent dictatorship, ‘kingship’ and tyranny?

Can the computerised electoral machinery be trusted, or is that also hopelessly compromised and contaminated like the mainstream media?

The only hope is that by piecing together what evidence is availabe and interpreting in a plausible way the events of 9/11 and and all related surrounding issues, an undercurrent of anger can be generated that may lead to some sort of remedy, while there is still time.

‘are you serious’ is proudly serving his/her country. Well, so was John O’Neill, but he knew or guessed at the truth of the illegality and immorality of black ops, and he tried to expose it to get it stopped. But whom can he expose it to when the military top brass and head honchos Bush and Cheyney are suspected to be in on it?

It is my suspicion that the timing of the demolition charges being set off (and maybe that of the planes striking the towers) is in some way connected with John O’Neill, the Head of WTC security. IT WAS HIS FIRST DAY AT HIS NEW JOB! Where do you go on your first day: you report to your office in WTC and meet your new staff. What do you do:- you have a tour of inspection of your site, looking at all areas of risk, such as elevator shafts and other off-limit areas. HE WOULD HAVE FOUND THE BUILDINGS LACED WITH DEMOLITION CHARGES! But he was never allowed to find them because at 08:45 the first plane struck. But he was not killed then. So what he did and where he went during the attack needs to be thoroughly examined. My suspicion is that as soon as his whereabouts was known in one of the towers, that tower was ‘pulled’ to kill him.

That’s nothing new — Operation Gladio was NATO (translation CIA & MI6 and nobody else) creating a “stay-behind” underground in mostly Italy and Germany, ostensibly to prevent them “falling to the Commies”, but really to prevent the “progress” and benefits to the big Industrialists (Fiat, Pirelli, I G Farben, Vereinigte Stahlverke, &c.) made during the Fascist & Nazi era from diappearing. They pulled off bombings all over Europe, most notably the train station in Bologna, but also school buses (concentrating on the tenderest sentiments of the people), and successfully blamed them on the Red Brigades and the Baader-Meinhoff gang. They were responsible for the death of Aldo Moro (see “Chi a ucciso Aldo Moro?” by Webster Tarpley). Postwar PM Giulio Andreotti later admitted to Gladio’s complicity in the bombings, though apparently not the Moro kidnapping.

Bush wasn’t picked for his brains, he was picked to be a political ‘face’ representing financial and power interests. Of course Bush and Cheney did not personally organize and carry-out 9-11. Osama and Al-Qaida did, and they used airplanes to do it, with Saudi hijackers. There may have been explosives planted as well, but that doesn’t mean the planes hijacked by Al-Qaida never happened. So to say that no one is smart enough to pull off a conspiracy and keep it quiet is a straw man argument. Osama/Al-Qaida did do it, no question.

But wait… Osama and Al-Qaida were financed and created by the Reagan/Bush CIA (former CIA director- G. Bush Sr., Cheney-Defense Secretary) to defeat the Soviets in Afghanistan (somehow W. managed to convince idiot voters in 2001 that he was the Washington outsider- ha!- they were the ultimate insiders of all time). And the Bushes and the Saudis (including the Bin Laden family) have been in bed together for decades in the oil and defense industries. Read “House of Bush, House of Saud” by Craig Unger. And Bush let Bin Laden go at Tora Bora after Al-Qaida had served his purpose of helping turn the US into a militarized corporate fascist state (and let many Bin Ladens and other Saudis fly out of U.S. without questioning them right after 9-11 when all planes were grounded). Even though he swore to get him dead or alive, BushCo let Bin Laden go. He continues to be their most useful bogey-man. And the US gov’t thwarted every attempt to pursue Bin Laden in 2001 before 9-11 despite many warnings that a major attack was coming in U.S. (Al Qaida specialist John O’Neill quit the FBI in disgust in August, 2001 and took job as securityry chief in WTC, where he died on 9-11). Whistle-blowers in FBI who warned about Muslims in flight schools were ignored or intimidated. And last year Bush scrapped the CIA unit tasked to pursue Al-Qaida. And the Anthrax had nothing to do with Muslims. It was from US labs, sent to Democratic and media opponents of BushCo, and never followed up on- no arrests or indictments- although the anthrax attacks only served to further scare the population and facilitate Patriot Act, etc. And of course, there have been no attacks in the US since 9-11, even though we have done virtually nothing to secure our ports and borders, and even though BushCo and FOX constantly tell us how vulverable we are and use every opportunity to scare us about terrorism, especially around election time. And Osama is still alive and Bush is “honestly not that concerned about him”. All the attacks by Al-Qaida on US in late-90’s (USS Cole, embassies, etc.) did nothing but make Clinton and the Dems look weak on defense, which helped Bush steal the election in 2001 (plus vote fraud and big brother Jeb of course). Without the threat of Osama and Al-Qaida, BushCo has nothing! So who do you think really gives him his orders? He’s the best thing that ever happened to George W. Bush.

Osama-Saudis-CIA-Big Oil/Defense-Bushes-Cheney: all in bed together and always have been. And oil is now at record highs (BushCo wins, Saudis win), oil and defense profits at all time highs, and there are no meters on iraqi oil pumps, so we have no idea how much is being pumped. We didn’t invade Iraq (which was planned way before 9-11 and pushed by PNAC) for cheap oil (why would BushCo want oil cheap anyway?)- we invaded to CONTROL Iraqi oil and supress Iraqi production to send global oil prices through the roof! Meanwhile billions disappear to corruption in Iraq (Halliburton- Cheney’s stock is through the roof). And impeachment is “off the table”?!?!?

Osama is still free. But are you?

  342. Ex-Canuck says:

I believe that one day 20 – 30 years from now, Sy Hersh will be remembered as a true patriot.

On the other hand, bush, cheney and the rest of this murderous administration will be remembered as the insane psychopaths that almost destroyed the United States of America

  343. jim sandrin says:

What an unthinkable strategy.!..bomb Iran? OK, it is TIME for the US Congress to pass legislation to bar Bushco from attacking Iran without the consent of Congress and secondly, it is TIME to impeach both Bush and the delusional Cheney…Hey, Madam Pelosi, take impeachment OFF the table…Save the world from these madmen!!!!

  344. ProudPrimate says:

    Mixter —

Chossudovsky is at the very top level of scholarship and credibility on all these matters. He was completely knowledgeable about 9/11 in every detail in his lecture War and Globalization – The Truth Behind September 11th already by 9-25-03, way ahead of most other commentators.

His piece you cite is essential for understanding this hour, as is the video linked here.

  345. Winston Churchill's Ghost says:

    Notable Churchill Quotes:

“To jaw-jaw is always better than to war-war.”

“Never, never, never believe any war will be smooth and easy, or that anyone who embarks on the strange voyage can measure the tides and hurricanes he will encounter. The statesman who yields to war fever must realize that once the signal is given, he is no longer the master of policy but the slave of unforeseeable and uncontrollable events.”

“If you go on with this nuclear arms race, all you are going to do is make the rubble bounce.”

“Americans can always be counted on to do the right thing…after they have exhausted all other possibilities.”

“War is mainly a catalogue of blunders.”

“My rule of life prescribed as an absolutely sacred rite smoking cigars and also the drinking of alcohol before, after and if need be during all meals and in the intervals between them. ”

Do you see any similarities between Dumbya and Churchill? I most certainly do not!!

  346. Dennis Brydon says:

Hey #24 why blame Iran and Moslems for 911. Everyone knows by now that St. George and St. Dick are the best inside men that the New World Order has for a new 911. You need to check out http://www.prisonplanet.com and hearwhat Alex Jones and Infowars.com have to say about 911. All New York City can still taste the smoke,-Firemen, Police etc, etc.

  347. ProudPrimate says:

Churchill has been a hero of mine for many years. But for all that, he was an incorrigible imperialist. It was he who carried the ball for Anglo-Persian (BP)’s demands for the overthrow of Mossadegh in Iran, (Atlee nor Truman wanted any part of it) and without him it might well never have happened.

  348. Avarus says:

You idiots! The more you expose bush and cheneys involvement in 911 and all other hellfires they have lit in front of and behind the scenes, the more likely they are to trigger marshall law before their term ends – and then invoke the dictatorship they so lust for and worked so hard to move the country towards.

We have to let them think they can retire in peace, and then impeach them when we are rid of them.

  349. Melissa says:

Serge and Proud Primate actually read history, it gives me hope. The new releases of formerly classified CIA documents, The Family Jewels, shows more of the same.
Why do people keep saying,’oh , that was then, this is now and we don’t do that anymore’? The governments of the world will never stop committing murder and terrorists acts until , we the people, make them stop. Please people, inform yourselves the information is out there. Look up USA declassified documents, Cuba. While you are at it, check a high school physics book to see how long it takes an object to fall without ANY resistance and compare to WTC buildings that obviously had plenty of resistance. Facts are Facts and the world is not flat.

  350. AwakeAmerican says:

Why are so many people not getting it? This is NOT about Iraq or Iran. It is NOT about Dems or Republicans. It is NOT about Moslems vs. Christians or Jews. This is about GENOCIDE. The agenda, which they (the NWO) have themselves admitted, is clearly focused on depopulating the world by AT LEAST 3/4 of its current population. This is NOT a “conspiracy theory” – it is fact. Americans and citizens of the world must wake up and smell the Chemtrails, the FEMA Camp gas chambers, the Gundermann trains, and all the rest In Plain Sight evidence – before it is too late. They are moviing fast to accomplish this. Other (sane and humane) methods for lowering population DO exist. Their methods will only bring World War and the demise of civilization and what is left of local cultures.

  351. JessWonderin says:

Captain Codpiece isn’t worthy to snort the ashes off Winnie’s cigar . . .

It will take MORE than 20 years to get this stain out of Lady Liberty’s shorts . . .

  352. Mary says:

It is a measure of the level of Bush’s stupidityand insanity that he likens himself to Churchill, who was genuine war hero (WWI), a noted author (the Nobel for literature) and a true statesman who went to war against a true evil.

Churchill had many days of extreme pessimism, doubt and fear that the war could be won at all. He had none of the overriding hubris or egotism that Bush and Cheney have.

Long after this horrible administration is done, people will remember Bush for nothing-Churchill for everything.

  353. we deserve better says:

“Don’t blame me I didn’t vote for the idiot” Ever! The Bush regime won’t talk to Iran just like they didn’t talk to Iraq.

The White House cried when Pelosi talked to the Prez of N Korea and others that they refuse to talk to. She made progress.. that is just what the gangsters don’t want.

If the issue is resolved then there’s no reason to go ahead with their ‘Nazi-like’ desire to take over the world at any cost. They are building up lies exactly like they did before invading Iraq.

There’s no stopping the madness as long as the people on the street and the people that we voted for who are supposed to represent our best interests treat the white house like a group of special Ed kids who don’t know any better.

They are criminals and thugs! It’s been proven time and time again. They hide behind the bible in a vault of money soaked in human blood, lost hope and tears. The regime helps those that fulfill their initiation by killing someone or dis-crediting someone’s career with lies. They promote their soulless friends into jobs that are already being done by ‘non-supporters’ of the faction.

This nation, or what’s left of it, has to stand up and see the light above the oppressing cloud of fear they keep us under. Everyday they come at us with more to be afraid of. Everyday they flash the terror alert on TV or on the ticker at the bottom of the “news” screen (which they also control btw). The words “The only thing to fear is fear itself.” Have never been truer.

TURN OFF YOUR TV! More and more “dateline’ or “60 Minutes” or “special investigations” highlight murder, rape, kidnapping,or other types of perverse terror-vision. The ‘News’ is not news any longer. It is another way to keep us thinking ‘dark thoughts’. It has been proven many times over that the more you think of something the more likely it is to occour. “Evil thoughts perpetuates evil things.” Read this intersting study on the subject. http://www.hoopandtree.org/qx_of_evil.htm

A couple of hit movies, “The Secret”, “What The %$@^ Do We Know?” and many books have brought the old knowledge into the modern mainstream. But of course the fear-mongers do not want you to exercise the thinking of good thoughts.
Turn off your TV and the violent music. Read a good book or spend time outside or with your family… become your own human again.
    Think Peace.

    (From Websters dictionary)
    Faction:
1 : a party or group (as within a government) that is often contentious or self-seeking : CLIQUE
2 : party spirit especially when marked by dissension

    Soulless:
having no soul or no greatness or warmth of mind or feeling

  354. Serge says:

Thank you Melissa and ProudPrimate for your kind comments. I felt that ProudPrimate was being sorely abused and heckled by the ignorant and raucus supporters of the GOVERNMENT MURDER SYNDICATE and needed a helping hand.

So what should the American People do to prevent a total collapse of the Constitution? And if it has collapsed already and is now only an usurped hollow sham, then what should the American People do to restore it? Further, how can the Constitution be improved so that this truly calamitous state of affairs never occurs again?

What can be done and how do we start?

My answer is this: in April 2008 for ten days at an appropriate central location, say near St Louis, Missouri, a camp site should be formed at which 911 truthers nationwide should muster. If one million or two million can be gathered then a DEFENSE CONGRESS OF THE REPUBLIC(DCR) should be elected from amongst the gathering consisting of 10 representatives from each State. This Defense Congress of the Republic is to demand a fair, impartial and independent investigation of 9/11 and all surrounding issues from the de facto authorities. This investigation is to have full legal powers, and be properly funded. It is, also, more importantly to demand of the 2008 Presidential candidates a binding promise that if elected they would initiate such an investigation. This may suffice to at least start the process of getting murderers behind bars and restoration of the Constitution. The mustering is then to disperse. The DCR is to adjourn until August, whilst expanding its membership by invitation.

In August 2008 a second mustering even larger than the first is to gather to review progress made and to decide on a course of action for the upcoming elections and beyond.

I think this is a feasible course of action. It will be a show of strength and of solidarity. It will promote exchange of information and discussion of strategy. By April 2008 at least 60% of the American people will know that the Bush/Cheyney gang have been an unmitigated lethal catastrophe for them and that the present political system demands a complete purging and shake-out of those responsible for allowing the GOVERNMENT MURDER SYNDICATE to happen.

So everybody save your leave for April and August 2008 and buy camping kit and grub. If everyone spreads the word and canvasses 911 truth leaders then it can be made to happen. All that is needed is a peice of land large enough and the May and August dates to be fixed.

  355. Serge says:

That last sentence should read ‘the April and August dates to be fixed.’ Although May could be a good month as well.

  356. eagleeye says:

How can we as ordinary people stop these lunatics from Nuking Iran? We must put our lives on the line. Not a hundred, a thousand, ten thousands, but hundreds of thousands. That’s what happened when Franco and his fascist hords were in Morroco preparing to invade Spain. A couple Yanks in a bar came up with the idea of the Lincoln Brigade. It ignited. People from through the world swarmed to Spain to support the fledgling democracy. Hundreds of thousands came from everywhere. They put their lives on the line for freedom, democracy, independence. They died fighting with bolos against guns, grenades against tanks. Pistols against planes. What nobler cause than that? But then they had what we don’t have. They had courage, faith, dedication. We have only our greed to console us.

We could go to Iran and mass along the Persian Gulf and imbed ourselves at Ispahan, the most beautiful city on earth that the Bush monsters along with Israel intend to nuke. Instean of the Lincoln Brigade, we could call ourselves the Jane Fonda Brigade.

    Just do it.

    A gung ho marine vet.

  357. eagleeye says:

I can see why Bush chose Churchill as his hero. Churchill was the worst of all monster. He was the first to gas the Kurds in Iraq. That’s where CIA operative Saddam Hussain got the idea. Churchill was responsible for the slaughter of tens of thousands of Australians at Gallipoi, Turkey. He was a ruthless commander in South Africa commiting genocide on a routine bases. He was a madman and the British knew it. He was defeated in the first election after the WW II.

  358. Cindy Woodruff says:

You know, Everyone makes amusing remarks about the Bush/Cheney regime, but we had better listen a little more closely to Mr. Hersh’s theories and take these guys seriously. We had better get organized somehow and overthrow this administration. In my opinion, these guys are not going to give up their power…ever. They will have to be forced out of the White House. I think Bush and Cheney will call for martial law and there will be no future presidential elections. We’re in a dictatorship now; they just haven’t informed the american public to this fact. Like Mr. Hersh said, “there will have to be a coup to take them out.” We have a couple of psycopaths running this country and they are very dangerous and they’re not yet satisfied with the blood they’ve spilled already. Next stop is Iran.

  359. petkov says:

Come on, do you REALLY believe that they believe that they are saving USA from nuclear bomb? Sure they say THAT but I hardly believe that they believe it. Truth is actually MUCH simpler:
“Modern” current society is based on oil. Let me repeat that: Everything is based on oil.
Iran’s got lots of it. They want it. Iran won’t give it to them at the price they want it.
So weaken them and get it.
Stop with those what they believe or don’t believe.

  360. payne and morales says:

    Dear President Carter:

An unfortunate situation resulting from your administration’s decision by apparently Zibigniew Brzezinski to incite Saddam Hussein to attack Iran in 1980 requires your immediate help to try to resolve peacefully.

    http://www.prosefights.org/nmlegal/nsalawsuit/nsalawsuit.htm#carter

  361. Zander says:

Interviewer: So, you see yourself following the steps of Churchill?

Bush: Yes indeed! That guy was awesome, and I loved his little moustache.

  362. Bon Chance says:

#359 – eagleeye – “we could call ourselves the Jane Fonda Brigade”

    - I sure hear you but don’t think Jane Fonda has quite the right approach to trigger the necessary reaction in slumberland America right now.

More to the point might be support for Ron Paul and a new ‘Constitutional Party’ ?

That’s the way to stop the CFR driven Iran-Jingo-Ra-Ra brigade. In answer to your first question, there is such a thing as citizens arrest in abovementioned Constitution – go for it BEFORE you find yourselves plunged into an Orwellian+nuclear dictatorship.

  363. Bon Chance says:

    #364 – Zandar, that is WICKED! ;-/ C(rying)OL !!

But if U$ MSM can’t get the location of Iran right, maybe the monkey in chief will bomb the wrong country?

    Again.

It is time for a citizens arrest, people; apply at WaPo for details…

  364. Terminally Amused says:

Not even those of you who think you get it, get it.

The sole intentions of the current administration were to
    A. empty the public coffers into their own pockets, and
    B. destroy the country to eliminate the possibility of later reprisals when the truth comes out.

“A” has been accomplished. “B” is well underway.

You are delusional if you think it would require some massive military world initiative to being us down. All that is required is something that causes the world to sanction us. Say, something along the lines of a nuclear first strike. The oil stops coming, the grid goes down, the trucks stop arriving at Safeway. Game over. The perfect crime.

I am wildly amused that the neo-trolls are reduced to arguing their boy-god is too stupid to have pulled off 911. But as ever, it’s just another neo-lie. They just pulled off the greatest criminal swindle in history and are about to single handedly bring down the “world’s only superpower.” Criminal genius is still genius and my hat’s off to them.

BTW, I thought I was exhaustively versed in 911 trivia, but I recall no reports of “Brooklyn Muslims dancing in the streets, rejoicing at 911.” I do, however, recall the group of young Israeli’s that were arrested with a van that tested positive for explosives, after they were seen doing exactly that. Remember, Mossad’s motto is War by Way of Deception. It’s little wonder that those of the Jewish faith believe they are superior to the rest of us when there is so much emperical evidence that that is exactly the case. After all, if you couldn’t use fools as tools, they would just be a waste of oxygen.

My only regret is that I won’t be able to witness the horrifying betrayal and despair that the truly gullible and credulous trolls like Remember911 will experience when not even the dimmest will be able to maintain their carefully constructed state of denial.

Utter economic and social collapse within twelve months. Get ready to survive or be ready to die.

Oh, and thanks for the grin, whoever it was who came up with the “amphibious assault of Switzerland” line. Good stuff. ;)

Love you all and wish you the best of luck in the coming year. But set foot on my property and you are dog food.

  365. Serge says:

Message for ProudPrimate. It’s very important to get the timeline and facts straight about John O’Neill. Some 911 truth websites say he started his job on 23/08/2001 at the WTC. If this is the case then he had over two weeks to find the large number of demolition charges in WTC 1,2 and 7, and he didn’t. So either he was incompetent and never got round to doing any checks, when there were explosive charges on nearly every floor in three buildings. Or he was ‘in on it’ which seeing that he was killed is unlikely. Or his ACTUAL start date at his office on the 34th Floor South Tower is as I said on 9/11/2001, the August 23rd date being when he accepted the offer of employment. OR there were no demolition charges to find, which will end the 911 truth movement. Could you investigate as you have more resources than I have, as I’m sure you realise the implications. Maybe Seymour could look into this as well.

  366. Serge says:

OK. There are several confirmations that O’Neill’s first day on the job at WTC was either the Monday 9/10/01 or Tuesday 9/11/01. Aug 23 was when he accepted the job offer. So there was not enough time either for inspections, or to find out by conversations with tenants or employees of weekend ‘power downs’ and evacuation drills prior to his arrival. 911truth websites must get their facts straight. They must attempt to dot all the ‘t’s and ‘i’s before deluging us with their political viewpoints. It is imperative that the GOVERNMENT MURDER SYNDICATE with Bush and Cheyney as PRIME SUSPECTS, must be given no wriggle room. There’ll be no investigation under corruption contaminated Hillary Clinton, and Obama won’t get nominated. The INVESTIGATION has to be done by ourselves to a high standard.
