Court to release CIA leak case documents.

The AP reports: “A federal appeals court said Friday it would release some of the documents it reviewed when deciding to force journalists to testify in the CIA leak investigation. The ruling followed a request by The Associated Press and Dow Jones, which asked for the release of the sworn statements Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald gave to justify subpoenas for New York Times reporter Judith Miller and Time magazine reporter Matthew Cooper in 2005.”

House Res 333 to Impeach Cheney has gone through Subcommittee
    to the FULL JUDICIARY. (http://impeachforpeace.org/impeach_bush_blog/?p=2382)

Call all of your congressperson and say you are in support of
impeaching Cheney. I called every one of my reps in IL today
to say I was supporting his impeachment.

MsJoanne-thanks for the great link!!! I just called my Congressman!! EVERYONE SHOULD!!!!!

  3. Gus Smith says:

There is a story on Raw Story saying that the House may enforce the subpoenas they have issued. No place provided for comment so I say here, why issue any legal document that you don’t plan to enforce. Sheeesh, so elementary.

  4. Mr. Bush Goes To Hell says:

    Good.

Time to see what TRUTH was brought out in Libby’s trial.

Then we can see for OURSELVES that Plame WAS indeed COVERT.

And that Libby DID both PERJURE HIMSELF and OBSTRUCT JUSTICE.

And that Cheney was DEEPLY involved with trying to discredit Wilson.

Including authorizing the “leak” of information that would in effect:

    1. END Ms. Plame’s career.

    2. END the Brewster Jennings company.

    3. Likely assure that ANYONE associated with them is now DEAD.

    4. DAMAGE our WMD intelligence (National Security), so TREASON.

Bush and Cheney are TRAITORS to the USA, and should be jailed until they die.

And go to hell from there…

  5. VerbalKint says:

#4 It has already been established beyond any doubt that Plame was covert. The CIA certified it. Fitzgerald indicated so in his court filings and press conferences based on his review of classified documents.

  6. Jackie says:

This should help the Wilson civil case. Now to bring back Judy Miller and Cooper will only confirm Libby’s guilt and Cheney’s cloud. I guess Cheney can now tell Libby he didn’t have a choice in releasing the facts. So Libby is left to do the time. Cheney will make sure Libby get’s 2 1/2 years supply of cartons of ciggies. Now if Libby comes out of jail a girl, Cheney will make sure he’s supplied with makeup and dresses to look good. Republicans are loyal to each other to the end.

  7. Jeremy says:

    YES!

Oh my this is juicy! I can’t WAIT to see the results of this little investigation! WAHOO!

  8. Styve says:

Just called Blumenauer’s office, and was told that he didn’t support HR 333, for the same reason that he didn’t support impeachment of Bush…that it would distract from the job of Congress. The staffer said that he has been through an impeachment, Clinton, and I said that was a sham impeachment and the comparison is inane.

I asked how he would feel about sticking with his Congressional day-to-day tasks once Cheney commits the US to nuking Iran. She said it won’t happen because they have to get Congressional approval to do something like that. I said that with weaklings like Blumenauer in Congress, the Bushies don’t care.

  9. Jay Randal says:

I will not hold my breath about this release of documents. Probably will have huge blacked-out pages of stuff.
