Bush, Nixon are most unpopular presidents ever.

A new Rasmussen analysis finds that George Washington continues to be the nation’s most popular president, with 94 percent of Americans viewing the Father of our Country favorably. The highest unfavorable rating for any president — 60 percent — is earned by Richard Nixon.” But close “Nixon’s heels for most unpopular is the current president, George W. Bush. Fifty-nine percent have an unfavorable opinion of him.”

I’m sure even these horrible numbers are heavily rigged in Bush’s favor. He would be the most hated President ever…except he’s not really President.

  2. spit take says:

Of course the least popular are Nixon and GWB. They’re the most liberal — at least according to revisionist conservative wisdom.

Having lived through the Nixon Administration, and now living through the current corrupt, criminal administration, to me, it is a toss up.

Remember, in polls there is a margin of error, so the poll is too close to call.

I’ll give Nixon one thing over the current corrupt, criminal president: Nixon RESIGNED!

  6. RUCerious says:

Fifty nine sounds low to me.
The last ten or so polls on pollingreport.com show him with dispproval rates of:
    66, 57, 62, 65, 66, 65, 65, 66, 60 and 65 for an average of 63.7
That has to be some kind of record for poll dumpster diving presidents who were never really elected in the first place.

I agree, BnF. If Congress would fulfill their constitutional obligations and support and defend the constitution from these two, the public’s opinion of Congress would improve.

There were also members of the Nixon administration who resigned rather than agree to his attempts to subvert the Constitution. Both the Attorney General and Deputy A.G. refused to fire the special prosecutor demanding papers from Nixon. Significantly, the person who did eventually fire the prosecutor was Robert Bork. Bork, among other notorieties, was the “tort reform” advocate currently suing Yale because he fell down climbing to a dais to speak.

In retrospect, the Nixon Administration accomplished a lot, which certainly can’t be said about the Bushies. Besides opening up relations with China, you can credit Nixon with creating the EPA and NOAA. Looking back on the Bush years, from the future, we will see only carnage and greed.

  10. MsJoanne says:

Yes, if the Congress would impeach, their ratings would go up to about 77% – the other 23% are the hapless sheeplets who believe in God and country – yet display contempt for both.

  11. Ben says:

Who on earth are the 6% of Americans who don’t approve of Washington?

  12. Gerald Gibson says:

If Congress would secure our borders. Do something reasonable about the immigrants. Make the Constitution untouchable and the law to apply equally to all… stop spending us into massive debt (even though many of us refuse to assume debt personally and do not believe in being in debt as a matter of principal) stop bickering and ending up with half measures instead of reasoned compromises…. stop taking bribes… stop having secret meetings to benefit only a few… on and on… THEN Congress would get some respect…

The bush problem is far worse however. Most of the disrespect toward him has to do with committing war crimes… that is even more unseemly than what Congress has done…plus his blatant power grab with out and out disdain for the intended fairness and justice for the people from the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution.

  16. spit take says:

And I see Jessie is trying to distract from the topic by peddling her “Congress 14% approval rating” lie once again, even after it’s been debunked several times.

Not that it has anything to do with this topic, but Jessie takes this number from a Gallup poll last week. the 14% is the number of those who said they had “quite a lot” or “a great deal” of confidence in Congress. Gallup’s actual APPROVAL rating for Congress as a whole for that week was 24%.

So it’s a LIE, Jessie. You know it’s a lie, and you still try to sell it as some way to distract from the fact that the only reason the current Republican president is not the most unpoular of ALL TIME is that thirty three years ago, ANOTHER Republican president resigned in disgrace.

At 24% the U.S. would be better served if the entire congress resigned.

  21. barfly says:

The big difference between Nixon and Bush is that Nixon understood the political ramifications an impeachment fight would have for his party. Bush, at this point, just wants to be liked by his base. He doesn’t care that his actions will doom republicans to minority status, or that he has discredited conservative ideology. The sad but predictable part is the way “conservatives” endorsed every big-spending Bush initiative that came down the congressional pike. That little bit if political cowardice showed independents that conservatives were just high-sounding charlatans. They will be paying the electoral price for their Bush support for the next decade.

Nixon didn’t actually break in anywhere, and I’m pretty sure that he wasn’t aware of it in advance. At any rate, I lived through the Nixon years, I danced in the streets when he resigned (still have a copy of the newspaper with those big headlines), but there’s absolutely no way you can convincingly call Nixon dumb. Venal, paranoid and vicious, absolutely. But Nixon was not only smart as hell, he surrounded himself with other smart people. You wouldn’t want to go out for a beer with any of them, but he has no use for incompetent sycophants. Another distinction between Nixon and Dubya.

Just take a cursory look at what was accomplished, some of it very good and positive, during his administration.

The ship’s already sailed on that little scam. If you want to re-establish conservatism as a serious school of political thought, you must first put your house in order. To do so requires that you repudiated Bush, and all he stands for, or stand silent as “conservative” is rebranded to mean “profligate, traitorous, lawless, and irrelevant.”

To be considered a real political ideology again, you must bring us the (political) head of George Bush.

I want to see more teeth and more spine in their efforts at oversight. I’m tired of threats of letters. I want to see legal action to stop the delaying tactics. I want to see Contempt of Congress charges.

But their inactivity is a whole lot better for the health of this country than was the complicity of the Republican Rubber Stamp congress in enacting the agenda of the most intellectually limited and unreflective presidnt this nation has ever had. At least the democrats in charge are stemming the tide of damage to our nation.

We also recognize that a slim majority in Congress can’t do jack sh!t legislatively without cooperation from the minority party and from the president, and it’s clear that they’ll get neither from these Republicans.

Jesus Christ, you are one of the densest trolls I’ve ever encountered.

The 14% figure you cite is NOT an “approval rating”. It was the number of people who said they had “a great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in Congress. The actual APPROVAL rate from that poll was 24%. This has been explained several times here, so you must be willfully lying to prove some nonexistent point.

And one more thing: why the rhetorical question: “This you are proud of”? When did I ever say I was proud of the performance of Harry Reid and the Democratic Congress? I’ve said that I’m disappointed in their lack of teeth in conducting needed oversight of this corupt administration.

So your comment fails all around. Willful misuse of statistics and mistaken assumptions about me and my thinking. This you are proud of?

  174. JMOHR says:

Let us debunk several of the troll comments:

    1. Poll numbers for recent presidents: Yes, Bush went to an all time high in the polls immediately after 9/11. A true tribute to his initial public statements as well as a true tribute to ALL AMERICANS PULLING TOGETHER TO SUPPORT HIM. So amazing that the President then became increasingly partisan and made routine practice of calling anyone who disagreed a traitor. Other presidents have endured short periods of low approval numbers such as Clinton. (Remember that they increased to over 60%) However, Bush has set a record for remaining below 50% approval rating for well over two years now. Indeed, no other president in modern history (including Nixon) has lost a approval of a majority for such a sustained period of time. I agree with Bush – one should not be swayed by polls which can swing wildly from week to week. However, Bushes’s polls have that continued trend that establishes the deep and sustained recognition that Bush and his team are truly incompetent.

    2. Satisfaction with Congress: The trolls want to lay this on the Democrats. Note two things.

First, Congressional approval numbers were bad under a Republican controlled Congress. Indeed, they were low because of the dissatisfaction with Republican corruption and support for Bushes’s failed policies. The Republicans made it clear that they would work to block any substantive legislation by the Democrats. They have been unsuccessful in the House. However, the Senate has a bare Democratic majority (if you count the Liebercrat). The Republicans have followed their publicly disclosed tactic to oppose cloture and take any other action under the rules to block legislation. This is their right in a democracy. Just do not try to blame it on the Democrats. The Republicans have merely damage a democratic institution for their usual short term, partisan interest. Note that Democrats lead over Republicans in public approval

    How can you escape damnation?

  184. Jessie Saxton says:

Because I KNOW, that George W Bush, climbed onto the rubble of the Twin Towers, containing the bodies of 3000 DEAD AMERICANS, and shouted a promise into a microphone that he NEVER HONORED, and most likely never intended to honor.

The RNC tried to prop up their cause on the bodies of 3000 DEAD AMERICANS who died on 911, but thankfully, today, Americans aren’t buying it anymore.

Uh, this is impossible to tell. How is this relevant?

You can’t assume that when people are asked about their (dissapproval) of a congress, they mean Democrats. The split in congress is what, 52% Democrat/48% Repulican?

For all you know the Democrats could be keeping the number in the double-digits. If you want a TRUE measure of of congressional approval the question would have to ask, “Do you approve of the Democratic leadership in congress?” Then ask the same thing of republican leadership. Then take a weighted average…this would be a true reflection of congressional approval. Bottom line…don’t read too much into “Democrat’s low congressional approval ratings.”

If I might add to your excellent comment Badger, no only is Al Qaueda being reconstituted in Pakistan, as they showed on the all the Nightly News channels two nights ago, Al Quaeda has become a million times more powerful thanks to the policies and strategies of the idiot named Bush.

No longer is AL Quaeda a small organization headed by a single individual or group.

Now its as the CIA calls it, “A FRANCHISE”.

Because of the HATRED of Americans, CREATED by George W Bush and the idiots in the right wing, Al Queada “FRANCHISES” are springing up everywhere.

For each Al Quaeda member we kill, 1000 new ones are being created.

Al Quaida is now basically a brand name. I agree it’s not what it was in 2000 but it was never a coherent terrorist operation as, say, the IRA. It was a place to get ideas and funding.

It no longer operates as it does but now acts as an inspiration. Is that better or worse? I’d say worse because you can kill members of a movement but you can’t kill an idea.

  242. Probus says:

This president is deservedly the worst president. He started a war with a country that didn’t pose any national security threat to us. Iraq had nothing to do with either 9-11 or bin Laden. Saddam had no ties to al Qaeda. Iraq had no WMDs despite what administration officials repeatedly told the American people. Ambassador Wilson’s criticisms of this policy were right, that’s why 16 words were later stricken from the Congressional record of the president’s State of the Union address. That is why the covert status of CIA agent Valarie Plame was outed to get back at her husband who was telling the truth. Scooter Libby should have gone to jail for his crimes. His sentence should never have been commuted. Libby is a convicted felon, and deserved to spent the next 30 months in jail.

This poor pathetic troll is the worst i’ve seen yet. 40 comments go unanswered as he gets his ass handed to him, and then, when he thinks everyones gone, he sneaks in and leaves 3 or 4 one liners in a pitiful attempt to appear like he’s responded.

Unfortunately it was broadcast on network television on the evening news 2 nights ago, and as the CIA has told us, AL Quaeda has gone from a small, heirarchal organization, to a MASSIVE FRANCHISE, thanks to the policies of George W Bush.

Now Al Queada has branched out, and spread like a web across the globe.

    So there you go America.

Here’s the uneducated fool that thinks he’s better on terrorism than a democrat would be.

    None too bright are you?

Well genius, for one thing, Bin Laden has been permitted to build a small Army in Kashmir, and soon will march into Pakistan to overthrow Bush’s puppet Musharraf and grab the nukes.

For another thing, before they were a handful.

That meant a handful of chances after 911, with our naturally heightened security to deal with.

Now, they are in the millions.

That means MILLIONS more chances to strike.

You should try a statistic course sometime pinhead.

See, this twit think he knows something about terrorists.

    He doesn’t.

Just like the fools didn’t know there were Sunni and SHia in Iraq, the fools also have forgotten that Bin Laden doesn’t USE high tech strategies, or complicated routines.

You know nothing about terrorism. Neither does your party leadership, or the pig you call a president.

Again you show how little you know about terrorism.

It had nothing to do with being “highly trained” junior.

It had to do with the response rules for hijackers that was present at the time, which was to DO EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAID.

    Idiot.

You can’t even remember recent history and you think you’re a terrorism expert, lol?

I remember GEORGE W BUSH, CLIMBING ONTO THE BODIES OF 3000 DEAD AMERICANS, and PROMISING to get the people responsible.

But now, 6 years later, WHERE’s BIN LADEN?

RUNNING AROUND FREE, PLANNING HIS NEXT ATTACK ON AMERICAN SOIL.

While Bush fiddles and invades non threatening, non involved countries.

  288. Badger says:

Tracey; Could the “capable and well trained” hijackers pull off their evil plan the same way today.?? Obviously they could not. In addition to boxcutters and airline tickets….they had an even more dangerous weapon…SURPRISE.
Once Americans understood their plans, they were stopped over a field in Pennsylvania.
Bush had his eyes on Missile Defense, and was Blindsided by Boxcutters. Air Marshalls or a carefull check of the Passenger lists could have PREVENTED the entire tragedy. It’s too late now, but the hijackers success was mostly due to incompetent national defense policy.

  289. Tracy says:

“…the fools also have forgotten that Bin Laden doesn’t USE high tech strategies, or complicated routines”

The 9/11 plot was increditably complex! Are you high or something? It was conceived in 1999 you and took till 2001 to execute it! Please do us all a favor and do some studying on al Qaeda and the 9/11 plot before you post again.

  290. Wayne A. Schneider says:

But now, 6 years later, WHERE’s BIN LADEN?

    Comment by Tracy — July 4, 2007 @ 6:57 pm

To a simple mind like yours perhaps.

But to the rest of us, visting a staples and buying box cutters, purchasing Airline tickets, and taking enough flying lessons to steer an airplane doesn’t take too much thought.

In fact, the mooks weren’t even sure what flights they were taking until the day they left.,

All they needed to do was pick flights going a long way so they’d have lots of fuel.

    Real complicated chief.

I agree, but it’s a fact that al Qaeda’s trainees today are not of the same caliber and capability as they were in 2001. The fact that so many citizens are more aware and vigilant will demand that the terrorists be even MORE capable and well trained for them to pull off another attack. Again quality, as far as terrorists are concerned, is more important than quantity. Please try to explain this to BARTLEBEE.

You don’t know what they’re like, because we have very little intel on them dipshit.

People have been hijacking airplanes for a long time numbskull, and theres nothing “quality” about it.

And besides, they don’t have to get good, just lucky.

The more guys who try, the more Americans who will die.

  302. Badger says:

I don’t know what evil plans al Qaeda is hatching for America, but I seriously doubt that it will involve Hijacked American Airplanes. That horse is out of the Barn. Airport security has been brought up to speed.
Al Qaeda cancelled a planned poison gas attack in New York because it wouldn’t be SPECTACULAR enough. So I doubt they will try an amateur attack like those recently in England.
As long as we stay in Iraq, Al Qaeda doesn’t NEED to attack us. We are doing plenty of damage to ourselves and our standing in the World. 911 was bait, and Bush took it.
Unfortunately there are still HUGE vulnerabilities in America’s free and open society. And Al Qaeda is probably smart enough to discover them.
Still, their major advantage of Surprise is gone. Bush is now paying attention to Al Qaeda.

  303. willyloman says:

Before 9-11 when someone highjacked a plane, everyone thought that it was to go somewhere (Libya, Egypt,Cuba, Detroit…who knows).

The passengers were affraid to resist because the didn’t know the end result if they did nothing was death.

They would feel a responsibility to the others not to risk a crash by attempting to take back control of the plane.

It was the only “smart” thing the highjackers did. Took advantage of the fact that a plane as weapon hadn’t been done before.

Harder to do now because as soon as someone snores to loud, the passengers want to kill them in self defense.

The reason for the huge unfavorable rating may be a matter of speculation. However, the result of the poll is NOT. The current corrupt, criminal president and the criminal Nixon share an unfavorable rating that exceeds ALL other presidents.

Distractions, obfuscation, and outright LIES by NASTY, PERVERTED TROLLS cannot detract from the REALITY of the UNFAVORABLE rating!

  309. Probus says:

Yes, Congress only started taking on water when they couldn’t get the war to end. Actually, the problem is that 15 Republicans couldn’t be found to vote with us.

But this happens all the time: Clinton said he’d bring universal health care; when he couldn’t deliver, his popularity went low enough for the GOP takeover. So because people were disappointed with the failure of health care, they elected the party who wouldn’t deliver it on principle.

    Comment by Tracy

Because it didn’t take two years to train for, you idiot. As soon as Bush had stolen the government, the terrorists knew that they had a clear run, and that the baby Bush would ignore any advice from the Clinton administration on terrorism, because Clinton had actually gotten his WTC bombers, making the sociopath Bush very jealous. That plot was put into motion on inauguration day, when the enemy was sure there would be a huge letdown in security. Republicans have always failed the USA in matters of security and defense; always.

I’m a bit late on this thread, but I would like to second Bartlebee’s comment that you are so much more attractive than the rightwing blondes and faux blondes like Ann-thrax Coulter, Melanie Morgan, etc. and brunettes like Mary Matalin, for that matter You may never have been model or actress material, but you look like a warm and real human being, which is more than I can say for the over-made spewers of hatred and koolaid talking points.

“Because it didn’t take two years to train for, you idiot.”

Go and actually read my link I post in #354 and you won’t sound so dumb next time.

Bush has to clean up the mess the Clinton made with the USS Cole bombers. Bush had them taken out with a Hellfire missle.

BTW you haven’t answered the question why Clinton wasn’t even slightly aware of the 9/11 plot for two years.

  338. Lora says:

Yes…at nat is a good…I will stick with that one.
    Comment by Tracy

Yes, you will stick with your usual illiterate writing because you don’t know any better and don’t want to learn, either.

    Ps. ronjazz,
I knew he/she meant “gnat” but was just deliberately getting at his (pet) goat.

  339. Tracy says:

No, I bet you wouldn’t respond. Sorry it’s gnat. Getting very late.

  344. Lora says:

In #374 Tracy-troll is talking to itself again. Must be getting delusional. Well, I suppose that should be obvious from its usual “but Clinton..” defense of Dumbya Bush or blaming the long-dead LBJ for turning Clinton’s budget surplus into a record deficit.

  345. Tracy says:

    #385

Clinton didn’t create the surplus little girl. BTW #374 is YOUR post.

  346. Wayne A. Schneider says:

    Comment by Lora — July 5, 2007 @ 1:23 am

Yeah, if someone isn’t going to take the time to identify more clearly at whom his is spewing, it kind of makes it pointless to read any of his posts.

    Good night, Lora.

  347. Wayne A. Schneider says:

That’s what I mean, Lora. His post addressed to number #385 appeared as #380 on mine.

Tracy, please copy the name and date stamp of the posts to which you are referring. Otherwise it’s difficult to take what you say (at times to yurself, it appears to us) seriously. I’m not trying to be argumentative here, just helpful.

  348. Tracy says:

    #382

Really? I thought I was just getting tired. Maybe those squirrels at TP are jacking with the tread. I will take it under advisement and will consider it.

  349. Lora says:

Clinton didn’t create the surplus little girl. BTW #374 is YOUR post.
    Comment by Tracy —

No, little boy, #374 is your post. Since you keep on saying “it’s late, maybe you shouldn’t stay up past your bedtime, little lad.

  350. Lora says:

On topic, I hated Nixon, and two of my relatives were even on his enemies list. But I must grudgingly admit that he did do a few good things in respect to the environment and also in making moves to restore diplomatic relations with China. King George the Idiot has even been trying to destroy the environmental protections set by Nixon; and since I spend a lot of time overseas, I can sense up close how he has been ruining the image of the US even in many friendly nations. I wouldn’t doubt that he ultimately beats Tricky Dicky for the lowest rating.

  351. Tracy says:

    #384

Now, I know TP is jacking with the thread. Even Wayne agrees with me. Any response about your false claim that Clinton created the surplus?

  352. Lora says:

Any response about your false claim that Clinton created the surplus?
    Comment by Tracy

Why don’t you prove to me first that Clinton didn’t create it, troll-boy? And, BTW, I may no longer respond to your addressing me as “little girl.” I don’t need condescension from someone who definitely has the language skills of a little boy.

  353. Lora says:

    Ps. Tracy-troll,
Before you go posting links to a bunch of rightwing websites, let me note that I have already read some articles by Republicans claiming that Bush inherited a recession, blah, blah…. Whether Clinton created the budget surplus or not, there was one when George W. Bush took office in January 2001, which he managed not only to squander but turn into a record deficit in record time.
One of these days, Japan, Korea and China will be asking the US to repay all those IOUs. Japan and Korea might be nice about it, but I don’t think it will be so pretty when China wants its money back.

  354. Tracy says:

    #387

Congress controls the purse, not the president.

  355. Tracy says:

    #388

“Whether Clinton created the budget surplus or not…”

I thought you said Clinton did create it.

  356. Lora says:

    Tracy troll,
“Clinton’s budget surplus” doesn’t specifically mean that “Clinton created the surplus,” but that it was a surplus by the time his presidency ended. Yes, Congress controls the purse, but the president does work with its members on the budget. Sorry: I know it’s so painful for you to accept that anything good happened under Clinton.
BTW, if you keep on blaming 9/11 on Clinton, though it happened eight months into George W. Bush’s presidency, then I assume you will put the blame on Bush 41 for the first World Trade Center bombing, which occurred even earlier into Clinton’s term of office.

  357. Tracy says:

    #391

“I know it’s so painful for you to accept that anything good happened under Clinton.”

No, I am glad he finally accepted Newt’s balanced budget amendment. Good for him.

“BTW, if you keep on blaming 9/11 on Clinton…”

I blame both Clinton AND Bush. I have said this multiple times, though you keep forgetting.

“…then I assume you will put the blame on Bush 41 for the first World Trade Center bombing”

Yes, I blame Bush 41 and Clinton. For Kenya, the Kobar Towers, and the USS Cole…squarely on Clinton.

  358. hterrya says:

The ignorant, lying, dishonest, dissembling Troll Tracy has again tried to turn this thread away from the actual TOPIC. Tried and FAILED.

The topic of this thread is a poll that shows that the current corrupt, criminal president’s unfavorable rating in a new poll is nearly the SAME as the other criminal president, Nixon.

ANYTHING Tracy Troll says that does not treat with the topic of the thread is OFF TOPIC.

It is time for several of us to bring Tracy’s deliberate attempt to keep this thread off track to TP’s attention.

  359. Lora says:

I blame both Clinton AND Bush. I have said this multiple times, though you keep forgetting.

With the Libby commutation, Dick Cheney’s dog will probably go to the top spot.

  361. Tracy says:

    #394

    That’s your problem.

  362. thepeoplechoose says:

I make a distinction between the two administrations and find Bush worse. I’m of an age that I was an adult American citizen during both and think Bush has more broadly sought to act in ways that are harmful to our nation.

Bush has many members of his administration that were in the fray during the Nixon years and they’ve learned their lessons from those years well. They have not however, modified in any way their extremist political views.

This is one of the reasons the things that have occurred are such an affront to many people. The distinction between legal and not legal and what can be proved (or not) is a guiding principle for this administration. The idea of what some may consider as ethical conduct is not a consideration. The only thing necessary is to finely and accurately gauge what they can get away with. As we can readily see they have done all manner of things to meeting their extremist goals and done so very skillfully. Consistently and unabashedly arguing preposterous notions of law and legaility has become legend for this administration. And they have demonstrated they will go to any lengths to achieve their goals no matter how apparently abusive their exercise of power may be. As long as it is even marginally legally defensible, they’ll do it. And you can forget about customary procedure and anything else that may be defined as a departmental procedural guideline. If it doesn’t aid the goal being sought it will be ignored. Strictly centralized power is behind achieving most of this. Along with a blind and seriously distorted perception that they are right.

I am quite convinced the overall long term harm to the nation is more pronounced under Bush 43 than Nixon. I don’t think, comparatively, that it is even very close. Measure the result. Nixon had to resign for trying to do many of the very things Bush (so far) has actually achieved.

  363. thepeoplechoose says:

I should also note the significant contribution of a similarly minded Republican congressional membership. We are talking old guard Republicans that remain from the Nixon years. Tactically, Bush has lost almost no power to the Democrats because of this. The WH maintains the same predisposition to the use (abuse) of power it has claimed all along. They have not modified that view in the least. With the cover of congressional republicans they’ll continue this way until Jan 2009. And it may not change then unless the congressional makeup changes as well.

  364. Lora says:

    #394
    That’s your problem.
    Comment by Tracy

No, it’s not. It’s absolutely no problem to me that I don’t read all of your posts. If there is any problem, it’s one of your inflated ego to think that everyone would take the time to read all the blather you post.
I’ll be off for some hours, so don’t expect any immediate answers from me. if at all.

    Always a Liberal , Always an Excuse : )

  367. thepeoplechoose says:

Ultimately, the strategic flaw in this may be revealed if voters finally realize that the idea of their representation has been thoroughly nullified by republican policies and goals. That means entrenched congressional power would have to be overturned in 2008. That means, in turn, voters would need to get a lot smarter. Smart enough to gain a grasp on how they are being played. What is the likelihood of that?

  368. Dick Cheney says:

    To fake-FDR,
I hate to inform you, but when the poll numbers are that low, it’s not just the liberals who are fuming. But that’s okay because I love being the lowest rated VP ever, as long as my Halliburton buddies and I have a great symbiotic relationship in ripping off the American public.
BTW, you really need to learn about English punctuation–ie. where to use, commas and periods, for example, or else you will make us look as illiterate as my pawn George Jr.

The real FDR went to private schools, and you must have flunked the liberal-run government schools you attended, troll-boy. I myself attended public schools, troll-boy, and somehow I learned to spell, punctuate and write grammatically correct sentences.

  374. Dick Cheney says:

    Ps. Fake FDR,
Sorry: I really shouldn’t have been so harsh on you. After all, you are one of the wonderful Kool-Aid drinkers who voted for George Jr. and me. So before I go off to an important Halliburton board–oops, I mean, Cabinet–meeting, let me offer my sincere apology to you. That’s to say, I’m sorry our Leave No Child Behind program came in too late to help you. Really.

  375. Parrotlover77 says:

Washington was careful to limit his executive power. People at the time were used to a “king” and he knew this and every time powers were offered to him as the executive, he frequently turned them down because he knew that one man with too much power, no matter how good the intentions, was a BAD thing for the young nation. Amazing visionary. Complete opposite of the current “executive privelege” conservative mindset.

  376. JACK says:

Of course, Bush is the head (pinhead) of the most corrupt administration in history. There has never been such lying, secrecy, warmongering, war profiteering, slaughter, thievery, election fraud, and pure corruption.

  378. J. Lewd says:

General Question: How much do you think a troll gets paid to disrupt a free exchange of ideas with ignorant and inflammatory diatribe? What experience does one need on one’s resume to land a job like this? (And more importantly, signs their paycheck?)

    Tracy-troll,
You don’t learn very well, do you? You were already told by me and quite kindly by Wayne Schneider that your use of numbers only to address other posters doesn’t work, because the numbers change. You also might have noticed the same thing in all the time (well over a year) you’ve been posting on TP> As it is now, you’ve addessed a number that doesn’t even appear yet on this thread.

  381. Tracy says:

    Comment by Lora — July 5, 2007 @ 5:11 pm

Do you have any idea why they are changing? Is TP intentionally trying to screw with posters here.

  382. Tracy says:

    Comment by Lora — July 5, 2007 @ 5:11 pm

As long as you and I have dragged yet another BS conversation on does it really matter that I don’t put the date/time stamp in my post? If it will get you to be quite about something that is irrelevant, as far as this conversation is concerned at least, I will…..just for you Lora.

  383. Lora says:

    Tracy-troll,
I haven’t taken the time to look at what has been cut out here, but sometimes the TP administrators delete some of the more vulgar and/or threatening posts. If you are really curious about it, why don’t you ask TP yourself?

  384. Tracy says:

Now you are learning! i.e. no date/time stamp in your last post.

I tried to tell you clowns to stop using the post number and post the comment, but you all knew better.

TP regualry goes through and deletes comments for vulgarity and other stuff, which means the post counts are going to constantly change.

    DUH.

  390. BARTLEBEE says:

If you want people to have a clue of what you’re referring to, post the comment, and not the number, or no ones gonna have a clue of what your talking about.
