Military killed ‘key al Qaeda leader’ twice.»

“The U.S. command in Baghdad this week ballyhooed the killing of a key al Qaeda leader but later admitted that the military had declared him dead a year ago. A military spokesman acknowledged the mistake after it was called to his attention by The Examiner. He said public affairs officers will be more careful in announcing significant kills.”

I’d be willing to go with a variation on this: the by standers are asked to identify said stiff and they are using joke Arabic names just to hear the American soldiers here them say the words:

    GI: “And this one is?”
    Iraqi: “‘I’m a camel’s ass’, Effendi”

    GI: “Cool and this?”
Iraqi: “‘My balls were bitten off by a goat’, Effendi”
    Gi: “Two ‘t’s in ‘bitten’?”
    Iraqi: “Yes Effendi”

    “Welease, Woger!”

Ken Lay was never seen by police and quickly buried. With his case being dismissed and his wife getting all the stolen money look for Kenny boy to be living it up on an island. Americans would rather believe the lies and make themselves feel good then face the truth that the Bush Administration has been lying from day one. Yes all those young soldiers died based on lies and got no medical treatment while Americans believe the liar in Chief. The media and talk shows have help spread the lies and Americans just set back and say oh well there’s nothing we can do about it. All this talk about Christian values yet the GOP is following Satan’s orders. No wonder foreign people don’t understand how Americans got so dumb.

The alleged ‘number 2 top Al-CiaDuh’ man they claimed to get. Well he has been in prison in Egypt for 7 years. Funny how the magical Al Kaydees can be in Egypt lockdown and Irak AT THE SAME TIME! Not to mention make those miracle cell phone calls on 911 that were not technologically possible. Those Al Kaydees are better than Copperfield, demolishing skyscrapers with a little bit of jet fuel which instantaniously burned in a fireball outside the structures. Al Kaydees can break laws of physics and mechanics the rest of us cannot break, Besides they can be hijackers of planes, and die in those plane crashes, YET abracadabra… they can also still be living years later. Not to mention NO ARABS were on those flight manifests, beither was there any Arab DNA found at ground zero. Yes indeedy, those Al Kaydees are amazing miracle workers AND live longer than those masked friday the 13th type scary movie villans, who never die no matter how many times you kil them.

BTW- all of my claims can be verfied by searching either Whatreallyhappened.com’s site search, archives and especially index.

Oh wait they lied us into the war in the first place.

  69. Muckraker Says:

Wow, the Armchair Generals are out in full force today. Since probably over 90% of the people who are posting have never been in the military let alone deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan, let me tell you how hard it is to actually confirm a major terrorist’s death. Many times we only hear it through second or third hand soruces and almost never have an actual body in order to confirm whether they are dead or alive. Chances are when we thought we killed this guy the first time, he just maintained a real low profile in order to feed the rumors of his death.

    JOKER: Didn’t see ‘em.

LOCKHART: Joker, I’ve told you, we run two basic stories here. Grunts who give half their pay to buy gooks toothbrushes and deodorants–Winning of Hearts and Minds–okay? And combat action that results in a kill–Winning the War. Now you must have seen blood trails… drag marks?

    JOKER: It was raining, sir.

LOCKHART: Well, that’s why God passed the law of probability. Now rewrite it and give it a happy ending–say, uh, one kill. Make it a sapper or an officer. Which?

    JOKER: Whichever you say.

LOCKHART: Grunts like reading about dead officers.

JOKER: Okay, an officer. How about a general?

LOCKHART: Joker, maybe you’d like our guys to read the paper and feel bad. I mean, in case you didn’t know it, this is not a particularly popular war. Now, it is our job to report the news that these why-are-we-here civilian newsmen ignore.

  71. cowalker Says:

Coalition Forces Kill, Detain Terrorists June 14, 2007

Kamal Jalil Bakr ‘Uthman, also known as Sa’id Hamza, was known to be the al Qaeda in Iraq military emir of Mosul. Intelligence reports indicate he planned, coordinated and facilitated suicide bombings in the Mosul area. Also, he facilitated the movement of more than 100 foreign fighters through safe houses in the area, and orchestrated attacks against Iraqi and coalition forces.

Coalition forces targeted ‘Uthman yesterday as part of their operations to disrupt the al Qaeda in Iraq senior leader network in Mosul. As they entered his residence, ‘Uthman rushed into another room and reached under a mattress. Coalition forces reacted to the hostile threat, engaged ‘Uthman and killed him. The troops later found a suicide vest under the mattress.

Coalition forces had detained ‘Uthman during an operation in August 2006. He was released from the Iraqi judicial system in April 2007, and intelligence reports indicate he was planning a six-vehicle suicide bomb attack to avenge his detention.

“We have taken another very dangerous terrorist off the streets of Iraq, and we will continue to deplete the senior leadership of al Qaeda in Iraq,” Garver said.

It’s all rather odd and confusing. So, on June 13 they thought he was still alive and released from custody in April 2007.

  83. Probus Says:

This is a classic example of why we are losing the war in Iraq. The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. The killing or capture of al Qaeda leaders in Iraq is of no significant value. Instead we should be focusing on the killing or capture of bin Laden which this administration outsourced to the locals in Afghanistan. Bush let him go at Tora Bora and now we are paying the price for it. From top to bottom all we find in this administration is complete incompetence the likes we have never seen.

“When The Examiner pointed out that Uthman’s death had been announced twice, a command spokesman said in an e-mail, “You are correct that we did previously announce that we killed him. This was a roll up to show an overall effort against [al Qaeda in Iraq]. We can probably do a better job on saying ‘previously announced’ when we do long-term roll ups to show an overall effort.”"

My God you people are ignorant just as parnsips pointed out. I actually went to read the article. There was nothing insiduous about this at all. The military reported the deaths over a period of time and he was included in two reports. When you understand what they were telling the reader it is clear they are not announcing his death “twice” simply reporting it twice. You DUMMIES.
