Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee “sharply criticized Michael Moore” and his new documentary SiCKO, suggesting that the filmmaker adds to the nation’s health care crisis by being overweight:
“Frankly, Michael Moore is an example of why the health care system costs so much in this country. He clearly is one of the reasons that we have a very expensive system. I know that from my own personal experience,” said Huckabee, who lost more than 110 pounds and became an avid runner after he was diagnosed with diabetes. [...]
No comment could be obtained from Moore, but Meghan O’Hara, producer of “Sicko,” questioned Huckabee’s motives in criticizing Moore.
“Looks like Mike Huckabee is auditioning for some insurance company dough, since he’s raised just about no money and sparked zero interest since jumping into the race,” O’Hara said in a response provided by Moore’s production office. “I wonder what the good governor would say to the French, who drink more, smoke more, eat more cheese and still live longer than us despite paying less for health care?”
Huckabee, Huckabee... oh, right, he's the one that made the comment about being in a Democratic concentration camp. Oh yeah, he'd be a great candidate...
July 11th, 2007 at 11:19 pmAlso the British. They think it funny how health-conscious us Americans are, yet they rated higher on every measure of health than us. Factoring out every variable, the study said it must be due to their universal healthcare.
And don't go for Hillary's or Edwards' universal plan, because it would be extremely costly. Listen to Kucinich because his plan is single-payer and would SAVE us over $200 billion every year, administratively-alone.
July 11th, 2007 at 11:21 pm“Frankly, Michael Moore is an example of why the health care system costs so much in this country. He clearly is one of the reasons that we have a very expensive system. I know that from my own personal experience,†said Huckabee, who lost more than 110 pounds and became an avid runner after he was diagnosed with diabetes.
And you're an example of why the mental health care system costs so much in this country , Mike Huckleberry ; anyone that laughably claims that dinosaurs and man co-existed is seriously delusional.
*Not to mention your belief that you will be elected president and would be a good one , too*
Yeah , about as "good" as the moron currently occupying the Oval Office.......

Put a reasonable cost on the plan and include a wellness-benefit. If people make their marks - weight, blood pressure, kick a little back. Nothing s/b "for free".
July 11th, 2007 at 11:23 pmYes it would be good to walk as much as Huckabee. It would also be terrific if we switched to the healthcare that every other developed country in the world has.
They do not have one single citizen without. We have 47 million without.
July 11th, 2007 at 11:24 pmWe spend at least twice as much per capita as them.
awww o'hara snapped back so snidely, just because huckabee is 110% right that big fat people like moore add to the healthcare cost in this country.
kind of ridiculous that a man who weighs over 400 lbs is telling us about healthcare. but then again, if i was choking down waffles and chicken and fries as often as moore i would want someone to pick up my heartattack tab too.
kind of like how moore bashes cheney for profitting off of haliburton because of the war and 9/11, and then buys stock in halliburton himself. also, no single american has made more money off of 9/11 then michael moore, the world's #1 war profitier!!!

July 11th, 2007 at 11:31 pmLifestyle cannot be the reason we spend at least twice as much per capita as any other developed country in the world and still have worse health, because their lifestyles are worse than ours.
The study factored out all variables (I'm assuming you know what that means) and came up with the conclusion that it must be that our healthcare system is totally different from theirs.

But Moore's film is about the middle class who don't have enough coverage or who go bankrupt when something happens. Only in the USA, not in the rest of the developed world.

Answer my questions:
1) Do you have any links to back up those numbers you posted?
2) Where did you hear this?
3) Must everything in this country be about making money?
4) Would you rather be operated on by someone who does it for the money, or someone who cares about whether or not you live or die?
This is known as "having a discussion" and I am trying to do this with you in earnest. If you're not interested in that, then I'll assume you made everything up.

The USA has a tremendously huge extra layer of bureaucracy that the rest of the world does not. If there are 2,000 health insurers in the US, each with single, plus spouse, or plus children; and either "silver" or "gold"----then that is 12,000 plans.
Whenever an American needs healthcare it is an unbelieveable bureaucratic nightmare trying to figure out what they can or cannot have and who pays what % or what.
American automakers are moving to Canada because US healthcare adds too much to the cost of each car, leaving no room for profit.
People in the US are stuck in lousy jobs for fear of changing and losing benefits.
In the rest of the world, there is no "pre-existing condition" or special pre-approval. You get what you need.
I lived in Britain 12 years and I would rather have their system. Even if you do have to wait 12 months for hip-replacement. Better than losing your house due to car accident.

Comment by liberals destroyed america — July 12, 2007 @ 12:04 am
Liberated 50 million, hah.. He has pissed off 50+ million people. Let's take a look at Iraq, appx 27 million before the war, almost a million dead, more to die because of starvation, lack of medical care, water. Then there are 3 million refugees. Iraqi's are dying or leaving at a faster rate. This is what you call liberation? This is what sane people call worse than Saddam. Things are so bad all most all of the coalition of the willing have left Iraq, and many are realizing that Afghanistan (the silent war) is lost and want to pull out.
Now let's expand on that pissing 50+ million people off, the reason other countries are pulling out of Iraq is their "people" demanded it. Soon we'll be all alone fighting this war on terra. So now America is alone, other people from other countries stop buying our products, (what few that are still made here now) they stop traveling here, they stop trading in the dollar, just what America doesn't need is more job loss, and less money. Look at the failed soviet union for what happens to a country that becomes isolationist, living a war based economy in a world that for the most part doesn't want war, only those who profit from it, and those that kill over who's god has a bigger _____.
You trolls are seriously stupid for thinking we liberated any one. The only thing liberated was our tax dollars from our accounts into the war makers.

willy, I have finally realized that you are nothing but an uneducated (probably attended public schools) DOPE!
July 12th, 2007 at 12:36 amThe large government/corporate cabal has unfortunately convinced many U.S. citizens, who are already financially strapped, that somehow the increased taxes necessary to finance single payer universal health care coverage would be IN ADDITION to the already astronomical health care costs we already pay. Look for the MSM to avoid any mention that the increased taxes would REPLACE rather than ADD to our current health care costs. Would you be willing to pay somewhat higher taxes if you could then stop paying health insurance premiums, deductibles, co-pays, non-covered expenses, etc. and could also stop worrying that your insurance company might drop you or find a loophole to avoid providing coverage (such as your forgetting to mention that you had chickenpox as a child on your application)?
According to the World Health Organization website, of all major countries of the world, the United States spends by far the highest percentage of its gross domestic product on health care costs (15.4%). The next highest country (minimum population — 10,000,000) is Germany with a percentage figure of 10.6%. France (10.3%) is lower still and the Scandinavian countries are below 10%.
If the United States were to emulate Germany, the percentage difference of 4.8% multiplied by the U. S. gross domestic product ($13,244,550,000,000 in 2006, according to the IMF), would result in a gross savings of $635,738,400,000, which is more than four times the amount spent in Iraq and Afghanistan. If this figure is then divided by the estimated current population of the United States of 302,311,374, the result would be a savings of $2102.93 for every man, woman and child in this country. Could you put an extra $2102.93 per person per year in your household to good use?
Under a system such as Germany’s, we would no longer have 46,000,000 people without health insurance and at the same time could save a considerable amount of money. The downside would be that CEOs such as Bill McGuire of United Healthcare might not be able to replicate his performance of 2005, receiving $124,000,000 in salary along with stock options worth more than $1.7 billion (according to forbes.com) — so you would have that thought weighing on your conscience.
There is a better way.

July 12th, 2007 at 12:53 amThe United States already has enough money for Universal health care. Other countries use it for health service for the people. The US uses it to pay pharmaceutical companies. We pay more for the same medicine and we're told to take a pill for everything. If you want to stay awake take a pill, fall a sleep take a pill and walk to the kitchen take a pill. If we got the same price for medicine as they do overseas there would be no problem. It's to late now as we are in 7 trillion dollar debt because we give Iraq 2 billion dollars a day and of course the contractors who do nothing for the billions of dollars. Yes and we pay men to get Iraq oil and transport it as they work only 6 hours a day 5 days a week and get 10,000 dollars a week. Well at lease the rich and those with high paying jobs can get great health care. To back the other Americans and the troops can't but that's what's so great about America. Huckabee used his government employment insurance to get his weight down it wasn't paid out of his pocket. But that's another story.

The Return of Al Qaeda
A new National Intelligence Estimate raises concerns that the terrorist group is growing stronger.
By Michael Isikoff and Mark Hosenball
Newsweek
Updated: 6:10 p.m. ET July 11, 2007
July 11, 2007 - A new National Intelligence Estimate presents a sobering analysis of terrorism threats to the United States, concluding that Al Qaeda has reconstituted its core structure along the Pakistani border and may now be a stronger and more resilient organization today than it appeared a year ago, according to three U.S. intelligence officials familiar with the draft document.

July 12th, 2007 at 1:17 am“Studies by 16 U.S. intelligence agencies, including the CIA, the FBI, the State Dept., and all four branches of the armed forces, revealed that the occupation of Iraq has contributed to an increase in the overall terrorist threat. And that studies by the University of Chicago, the Hoover Digest, the Cato Institute, Iraq Body Count, and the 2005 Human Security Report support these findings.â€

"has contributed to an increase in the overall terrorist threat."
Of what? To whom? and lastly... So?
You claimed that “the war in Iraq has INCREASED TERRORISM," however, there are many other factors that have done so as well.
This should have been obvious from the word "contributed," which implies that Iraq was not the sole cause of the increase. Yet you neglect to mention any of the other factors... I wonder why?
More to the point.
You will never prove causality, especially in a situation like this. The most you can honestly say is that there has been a positive correlation between an increase in overall terrorist threat and the US being i Iraq.

Obesity is also sometimes caused by disease, such as hypothyroidism. And Big Pharma's exorbitant profits are not just based on health problems related to obesity. How many drug ads are shown in the commercial breaks on TV for sleep aids, ED (!), osteoporosis, asthma, the list goes on. Focusing on the filmmaker's weight problems as the sole factor contributing to the entire healthcare industry's high costs is disingenuous and despicable.

Do you know ?
Try about 7 or 8 MILLION …………
Comment by MCMetal — July 12, 2007 @ 1:11 am
Come now, you might hurt their delicate sensibilities, MCMetal. Are you really trying to suggest that the Germans, Italians and Japanese were PEOPLE? Get real. I mean, it's not like we were provoked into a war that had swept across the entire planet and ended up claiming tens of millions of lives. Was it REALLY important that America joining the Allies tipped the balance in their favor? Was it REALLY important that the 450,000 of our boys who died did so to make sure America didn't become a corporate owned state OR a fascist state?
Next you will try to convince me that the Republicans and their corporate sponsors did everything they could to delay our entry into the war because they were WAR PROFITEERING, selling weapons to both sides. Did the profiteers MEAN IT when they decided they wanted to back the Nazis, or were they just gambling on who they thought would win? It's not like their decision to sell weapons to the Nazis helped Dur Fuhrer with his agenda, right? It's not like those people stayed in power after they were caught war profiteering or anything. What possible interest could corporations have in supporting a state where corporate power and state power are intimately linked? It's not like that consolidates State power and corporate power into a single power base.
What, did some of the descendants of the war profiteers grow up to be President of the United States or something? Sheesh.
Oh, wait...

Re: your statement that you "know the liberals want to repeat the bloodbath they created in Cambodia in the 70’s", please cite the source of your knowledge regarding this matter.
The Iraqi leaders, whose continuation in power is maintained at gunpoint by the U.S. occupation, may or may not necessarily represent the views of the Iraqi people. One of the earlier selling points for the U.S. occupation of Iraq was to promote democracy. If I recall correctly, this refers to the will of the people, not leaders who continuation in office depends upon their willingness to serve as puppets serving U.S. interests. Whatever occurs in Iraq in the future, shouldn't the people who live there (not just the leaders) have some say in what happens to their country?

July 12th, 2007 at 1:53 amthere is a reason we have elected leaders in a republic. its because the huddled masses are irrational, uninformed, and frankly not qualified to make major policy decisions. polling the average person on foreign policy is stupid. a watress, a steel worker, a gym teacher, a garbage man, these average folks are not qualified to judge military needs or strategic defense, not here or in iraq.
Comment by liberals destroyed america — July 12, 2007 @ 1:02 am
I would contend that the people in this country who are contributing those who are fighting and dying in Iraq and forgoing other priorities to pay for the U.S. occupation of Iraq should have some say in what happens with their lives, family members and tax monies. I would also contend that when "the huddled masses" are provided with truly balanced information, collectively they are able to make some very sound judgments.
In my post, I referred to the Iraqi people voting on whether the United States (a foreign occupying force) remains in their country. For them, that is not a foreign, but rather a domestic policy matter. Are you actually saying that the Iraqi people are too stupid to render a valid judgment as to whether they would prefer to deal with the consequences of the United States remaining versus leaving?

Shhhhhh. You're giving away all their secrets. You're not allowed in their Super-Secret, Fantabulous One-Hundred-Story, 2,000 Acre Clubhouse anymore! You know damned well they cannot abide educated masses! Why, an educated voting base might never, ever, in all of history vote for such dishonest, corrupt, morally bankrupt individuals. Why, if the people KNOW that they're being lied to, they might not vote FOR the liars!
That was, in fact, one of the reasons the Founding Fathers wanted the Fourth Estate to be so prevalent, so powerful, and essentially uncontrolled by the government: to keep We the People informed, enlightened, and able to properly take part in our form of government. Since we stopped teaching Civics, and have severely limited the teaching of History, Sociology and Politics in our public schools, the elitist plans to keep the masses uneducated, and voting against their own self-interests has been working brilliantly.

He is selling out "his kind". The upper class is very compartmentalized from the middle and lower classes in this country. Edwards is one of the elite who thinks it is wrong that "his people" are getting richer and richer every year, and the power of Capital increases year after year, while the poor in this country don't make enough money to survive and the power of Labor goes down.
Edwards understands that Labor can survive without Capital, but Capital cannot survive without Labor. Edwards understands that we are all equal, and he is no better than anyone else. John Edwards is a compassionate, caring human being with real leadership qualities, and far-sighted vision that can raise all of humanity higher, not just the elite.
See? He's disappointing "his kind" immensely, so they must use their vast resources to destroy him.

Goodnight, willy & TRoS.

I'm out to zooey. nice talking with all of you.

July 12th, 2007 at 3:03 amHuckabee can't debate Moore on the issues so he has chosen to attack him personally. He recently said that more troops are needed in Iraq. He has no credibility left. If he is so wrong on the issue of Iraq he can't be expected to be logical about any other issue. Moore has no political agenda here. Huckabee who is running for the GOP presidential nomination does. Moore is on higher ground because he was right about the war from the beginning. A majority of Americans would agree with Moore's assessment of our inept health care system. Just like they agree with Moore on the ineptitude of Bush and the Iraq war.
July 12th, 2007 at 3:03 amI have just reported the blatant namejacking of Zooey's account above.
I hope your IPs get banned. You don't mess with Zooey as long as I am here!
July 12th, 2007 at 5:06 amIs Mr. Huckabee suggesting that thin people don't get sick?
July 12th, 2007 at 6:05 amWell said Ms O'Hara. Isn't Huckleberry the guy who claims to be a good Catholic?
July 12th, 2007 at 6:53 amI don’t know how these East coasters do it….

Not very well, my friend. Not very well.
Well, off to work. Good day all.
July 12th, 2007 at 7:09 amI blame the children. They get sick all the time; they fall down and hurt themselves; they need all sorts of shots. And some of them are fat.
July 12th, 2007 at 7:13 am...and they don't even have jobs, the little bastards.
July 12th, 2007 at 7:14 amPlease looking more into Edwards Healthcare Plan. His medicare plus is single payer, and will make the insurance companies compete with medicare. They can't compete because their overhead is too high. They will go out of business.
July 12th, 2007 at 7:35 amI thought the same thing about Moores health and weight. In addition to the health cost of being obese his carbon foot print from the food that needs to be produced for him must be huge also. How many seats does he take on a plane? Needs a front end loader to take him anywhere. He's a freakin nation unto himself.
July 12th, 2007 at 7:39 amfat boy does need to get out and walk some. lay off the KFC
July 12th, 2007 at 7:45 amIf I were a terrorist I would explode car bombs outside every major main stream media head quarters at shift change. But since I'm not I can only hope someone doesn't and splatter our most famous talking heads across the roadway. Please dont murder them while we watch during the 5 o'clock run terrorists. Not at 5:05 while we are watching....please dont car bomb them. Please do not.
July 12th, 2007 at 7:49 amThanx Ann
I'll pretend to cry if you do.
July 12th, 2007 at 7:50 amAnother piece of Southern chickenhawk trash. Couldn't Sherman have gone through Arkansas and leveled that shit state.
July 12th, 2007 at 7:57 amOy, trollish morons:
Clinton left America with the economy at highs it hasn't seen since. You claim he left you a recession: Bush was in power and cutting taxes when the recession hit.
You claim he left you with the terrorism hot potato: WTC 1 Clinton wasn't in power two months when the terrorists hit and...
HE DIDN'T BLAME BUSH SNR! Shocking innit? Particularly seen as president "Took more leave in six years then any president in the Whitehouse has done since they started recording how much leave the president takes" had 9 months to 9/11.
You Republicans like to blame the previous administration, just like the good little communists you really are. You run around talking about how you are the party of personal responsibility, here is an idea, why don't you TAKE SOME.
July 12th, 2007 at 7:59 amIf some lunatic was to firebomb Chris Mathews home while he slept I would be outraged. I would despise that person for their violence and yet I would raise money for their bail because you are supposed to help your fellow man. I hope it doesn't happen soon, but if it does, we should all pitch in.

No Taco Bell is a secret terrorist organization.
What people don't realize is you eat one of those burrito bombs and a few hours it goes off. If you happen to be in a closed room it has a chance of killing you and everyone in the room. Chemical warfare. That methane can be deadly

They are too busy listening to your phone calls to mom, reading the emails your boyfriend sent you and spying on your reading list at the public library to do any real police work to actually protect us from terrorist, don't you know?
Yeah that article is really scary
July 12th, 2007 at 9:11 amMeanwhile, Michael Moore who continues to bash the healthcare system (some of it justified) and pharmaceutical companies gets richer and richer through his stock in pharmaceutical companies.
July 12th, 2007 at 9:16 amNow this just ain't right. Michael Moore should know not to sass back to a nice man like Mr. Huckabee! Michael needs to tell his sins at http://baptistsforbrown2008.wordpress.com/2007/07/12/ten-commandment-thursday-tell-your-sins/ and so should you!
July 12th, 2007 at 9:24 amYes, Michael Moore is fat and could stand to shed some tonnage. And yes, Huckabee did a great job of shedding his own tonnage and serves as a good example to the rest of us in that department.
That said -- I really don't care. The US health care system is in dismal shape. It doesn't matter to me if the person aiming the spotlight on the carnage is a fat, sedentary chain-smoker or a buff vegetarian marathoner -- or anyone in between (I don't wish to imply that MM smokes). It's the message here that's important -- not the messenger.
I can see I miss out on a lot when I don't stay up all night. How in the world did Cambodia, WWII, blow jobs, haircuts, and public schools get into a thread about Michael Moore, Governor Huckabee, and SiCKO?
July 12th, 2007 at 9:31 amawww o’hara snapped back so snidely, just because huckabee is 110% right that big fat people like moore add to the healthcare cost in this country.
Michael Moore's weight has nothing to do with the current state of health care in this country. We are the only industrialized nation that thinks that health care is a privilege and not a right.
July 12th, 2007 at 9:35 amre: because Huckabee is 110% right that big fat people like Moore add to the Healthcare cost in this country.
Translation:
Those who are overweight are costing the insurance companies more money; money that they would much rather keep or pay out in fat bonuses to their CEOs.
July 12th, 2007 at 9:45 amHas he ever seen Denny Haestert? The U.S. was the last western nation to outlaw slavery. Why would anyone be surprised that it will also be the last western industrialized nation to provide universal health care? Americans have been manipulated and brainwashed by the likes of Huckabee and the conservatives. It's a travesty and a tragedy.
July 12th, 2007 at 9:45 amNow which Republican is it that likes to wear diapers when he visits his favorite prostitutes?
July 12th, 2007 at 9:48 amNow, Since the trolls and Noise Machine on this thread seem to be coming from liberal haters, corporatists, and war mongers, I have these questions for you. Now please amswer them directly, as I do not want to hear the name Clinton:
1) What have Right Wingers done for the common person in this country?
2) Were George Washington, Ben Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson Liberal or Conservative
3) What would YOU personally do if you got sick, but could not afford healh care?
4) Why do you want corporations running everything?
July 12th, 2007 at 9:49 amWhat does Huckabee think about the fact the most obese populations are found in the Red states?
July 12th, 2007 at 9:49 amWhat does Huckabee think about the fact the most obese populations are found in the Red states?
Thats because red-staters have jobs which means they dont have time to hang out at coffee-houses and go exercise in the middle of the day. Simple really.
Ill explain to you what a job is in a later post.
July 12th, 2007 at 10:26 amWere George Washington, Ben Franklin, and Thomas Jefferson Liberal or Conservative
They werent liberal in todays sense of the word, which even liberals find distasteful enough to change to "progressive".
July 12th, 2007 at 10:28 am#486
Are you saying there is a correlation between hard work and obesity? Did Mr. Huckabee lose all that weight simply by slacking off at the job? I wouldn't be surprised.
July 12th, 2007 at 10:35 amHow well can Huckabee do in the South with his "Blame fat people" campaign platform?
July 12th, 2007 at 11:17 amCLINTON DID IT!!!! *foaming at mouth, spittle flying everywhere, eyes red after staying up all night watching Clinton clips, with massive erection*
(Sorry for the mental image. I couldn't resist)
July 12th, 2007 at 11:21 am#488 I think he's saying those slim people out in California who walk everywhere and have been inventing the computer revolution this past 30 years are lazy. And the fat people in the South who sit on their couches and watch NASCAR drinking beer are the hard working folks.
July 12th, 2007 at 11:29 amTo Blackwater:
We progressives call ourselves that not because we find the term "liberal" distasteful, although we acknowledge that the right wing has worked very hard ever since the Reagan administration to paint that term as negative as "communist" was during the McCarthy era.
No, it's because "progressive" is an accurate term for our ideology -- especially nowadays when action for change is critical. If you check your American Heritage dictionary, you will find:
PROGRESSIVE (adj.)
1. Moving forward; advancing.
2. Proceeding in steps; continuing steadily by increments: progressive change.
3. Promoting or favoring progress toward better conditions or new policies, ideas, or methods.
LIBERAL (adj.)
1. Not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; free from bigotry.
2. Favoring proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; broad-minded.
There is a definite overlap in the definitions, but they aren't exact synonyms. However, most liberals are also progressives, and most progressives are also liberals, so most of us tend to identify with either term.

Comment by missmolly — July 12, 2007 @ 11:44 am
missmolly, I think are correct in this. There has been a brainwashing of the population since the 30s, when Labor unions were considered "Communist". In fact, the Woman's Voting Rights was attacked by corporate interests in the teens. From then on the Limbaughs, Coulters, Bushes, etc, have tried to tie in Liberal or Progressive with everything the misinformed public is supposed to hate....gays, Woman Rights, Vegetarians, Anti-War, Environmentalists, atheists, Labor, Unions, Universal Health care, etc. What it really boil down to is this...These are social movements, and everyday people, that stand in the way of the corporate takeover of our country. Is not that the classic definition of Fascism? Basically they lose money. Not only is War a Racket, but so is hate.
By the way, Washington, Jefferson, and Ben Franklin were Progressives or Liberals, and Andrew Jackson was a Conservative. Conservatives have no problem butchering Native Americans, Stringing up blacks, Supporting Hitler, and invading countries for their tin and oil.
July 12th, 2007 at 12:01 pmSwampgas,
As you should know the political designtion is a relative term. Relitive to the environment or context in which it is used. Many of the founding fathers were "liberals" in the sense that they opposed the oppressive government of the Crown.
In todays America it is likely they would be conservative, because they would hope to "conserve" and hold fast to the traditions of "classical liberalism" which they themselves established.
"Progreesive" and "liberal" is a misnomer for todays Democrats because they are advancing the cause of oppressive gov which the founding fathers opposed.
July 12th, 2007 at 12:36 pmMichael Moore's Sicko is brilliant and truthful. Our current health care system systematically rips off the populace while Congress passes a $500-plus billion defense budget to appease the military industrial complex and line their own pockets. Neither our health care system nor our military apparatus work. Any reasonable person would conclude that health care and "defense" primarily exist to provide profits to shareholders, period.
July 12th, 2007 at 1:25 pmCareful, Mr. Huckabee, there are a lot of fat republicans down here in the Bible belt. You wouldn't want to piss them off, would you?
July 12th, 2007 at 1:41 pmSo, corporate greed has nothing to do with it, it's just all caused by fat people? If they put half the energy into solving problems that they do in pointing fingers, the world would be a better place. But, I know, that makes sense, and logic has no place in the GOoPer philosophy.
July 12th, 2007 at 2:18 pmEdwards has about 10% of the money that Romney does and you are not calling him insanely rich. I call that biased.
If Edwards is insanely rich? What do you call the five Waltons who total $95 BILLION. That’s two thousand times Edwards.
Edwards isn't just rich, he has his own tax loophole!
July 12th, 2007 at 11:12 pmComment by The Republic of Stupidity — July 11, 2007 @ 11:32 pm
You realize there were some 42 million people w/o health insurance under Clinton, if that's your criteria?
July 12th, 2007 at 11:13 pmLook for the MSM to avoid any mention that the increased taxes would REPLACE rather than ADD to our current health care costs.
Who is going to pay these taxes? The 40% of America that doesn't owe taxes? The 16% of America that dodges their taxes?
July 12th, 2007 at 11:17 pmI pointed out that the 5 Waltons have two thousand times as much money as Edwards but didn’t get a reply from the trolls.
Romney I guess has about 10 times as much.
But Edwards is “insanely richâ€.
Romney and the Waltons aren't trying to strip the next generation of the opportunity they had to become rich.
Edwards is a twofaced hypocrite!
July 12th, 2007 at 11:18 pmMichael Moore needs to put the KFC down and walk around the block. The fat pig smells.yuck
