Several Congressmen, who are in the know, were asked to respond. They too seemed to be pointing fingers, but with their thumbs so far up their asses no one could make out where. How can a president contradict his own intelligence agencies? Al Qaeda is stronger because of Bush's wrong headed policies in Iraq. We are less safe because of them. He should have never let bin Laden go in the mountains of Tora Bora. He should have sent in reinforcements when our troops requested it. Every effort should have been made to kill and capture bin Laden. Bush let him go. That's unforgivable. Today bin Laden's organization is back to its original strength since before 9-11. Bush is to blame for this and no one else. He never should have gone into Iraq, he should have focused on Afghanistan instead. He never should have disbanded the CIA unit that was meant to find bin Laden. As Kerry said during the 2004 campaign Bush took his eyes of the ball. If Kerry would have been president this never would have happened. Chertoff has lost all credibility. He gives credence to his gut feeling but not to intelligence estimates? What is he thinking? I have a gut feeling that BushCo and the REPUKE HACKS in power have proven themselves worthy only of providing comedic relief. Scott Ritter had it 100% right, and opposed the Iraq invasion from the start. He knew Saddam had no weapons program because it was HIS JOB. He personally took part in the destruction of Saddam's program. He is making the point that citizens need to be involved. I am mad enough to do so. I went and spoke with the District Aide for my congressman. I had been writing to him about the issues, and would not have even known she was in my town if I hadn't gotten his email telling me. It's a small town, and only 3 people, including myself, showed up in the 45 minutes I was there. They should communicate better when they have these...I'm sure more people would have come. But if more people, people like us that can write an intelligent letter, wrote to our representatives, and told them our views, change may come about a little faster. I do not merely want to score points on some political blog, I want our government to change direction. I come here to round out my point of view by sharing with others. I pretty much ignore the trolls, it's not hard, I want to see a sincere argument from either side. Of you want to change someone's point of view, you will not do that through name calling, mockery and foul language. You just convince everyone of your utter lack of anything intelligible to say!
