Lobbyist v. The Private Citizen:

One thing I would argue, is that all the lobbyists are in no way private citizens and therefore somehow hands-off. You should know damn well enough by now nothing has done more to corrupt the system than the undue influence of private capital feeding from the trough of public funds. K street is full of of these Lobbyist Pimps soliciting Congressional Whore’s services for high-paying Corporate Johns 24/7/365. I say they lost any precept of protection the label “private citizen” might have provided the second they started trying to influence “public policy.”

Machiavelli speaks fluently and voluminoulsy and voiciferously on this subject, in â€˜The Discoursesâ€™, and yet is proved wrong on several counts by the miracle of America. He says that a nation founded in servitude, as America was a colony, will never win its freedom. He also says that a nation founded on fertile soil that is easily defended, will in time loose all of its freedoms because it will become, eventually, inevitably, sloth and sated, and will forget to protect them.

Let’s be careful associating telephone numbers with people. People move and drop their TNs. After some idle period (a year perhaps?), the TN is reassigned. I’ve not seen this list so I don’t know if names are associated with the TNs. I wonder how many people will be falsely accused because of TN reassignment.

I don’t care what their party affiliations are, they are elected officials. As elected officials they should be doing their district’s/state’s and the country’s business. When they get caught betraying the public trust they should be thrown out of office and any benefits, e.g. retirement, secret service protection, etc, should be terminated. They are, almost all of them, toadies and parasites and execution would be too good for them.
