Burkman solicits Google to deny sexual solicitation reports.

The prominent conservative pundit and lobbyist, Jack Burkman, was outed yesterday when it was revealed that his phone number “appears in the database of phone records of the ‘DC Madam.’” Previously, Wonkette reported allegations that Burkman may have solicited sex from a young woman who later blogged about it on MySpace.

Burkman is running a Google AdWords campaign and website denying allegations that he solicited sex from anyone. “[A]llegations concerning sollicitation [sic] are simply and completely false, driven by a group of left-wing people seeking to intimidate conservatives and independents.” Anyone searching Google for “Jack Burkman” will be shown Burkman’s denial at the top of the page:

    It won’t help him.

  2. LibertyLover says:

So he’s paying “the google” to get his message out? Hmm. Is this a case of “Guilty dog – barks first”?

So now that we have a Republicans sex scandal, can we put Impeachment back on the table? I mean, it does take sex to make it a crime, right?

  4. roger says:

Well, everyone should follow that link! Perhaps 3-4 times. Because for every click – as many of you know – that will cost whatever person or persons cash for every click.

Especially in that featured position on Google. Click away folks!

Of course, this is only to be informed of the left-wing conspiracy and the “truth” of the matter. But still, click a bunch of times.

  5. roger says:

It’s gone already. No sponsored links came up when I search on “the Google.”

  6. gummitch says:

Looks like he wised up. It didn’t show up in my google search.

  7. gummitch says:

I loved the story of him phone-stalking the young woman, especially the fact that she posted the whole thing on the web.

  8. joe cantwell says:

it’s not there, is he ready to tell the truth?

  9. bobcat_grad says:

It may not show up everytime. Typically, the amount you pay for those advertisements is directly proportional to the % of times your ad shows up based upon the searches.

Meaning I may pay (making figures up here) $100 for my ad to show up 15% of the time. But I can pay $500 to have it show up 50%.

Also, those ad agreements usually have a hard cap, too. Your ad comes up 15% of the time when a certain word is used up to 1000 ads/day.

Who are these people, and where do I join?

Seriously…. I wish there were such a group. But sadly, we progressives don’t have the same meanspiritedness as conservatives and can’t muster the same levels of intimidation as can the Rovians and other slime.

Can you just imagine, conservatives shaking in their boots while some little old liberal lady “intimidates” them by calling them on their own hypocrisy?

This guy is clearly self-destructive. How much deeper can he did this hole. It will make for great comic relief.

  12. OxyCon says:

Question for the Google experts. What is the payment structure for that type of Google ad? Is it a set fee? Or is it a seperate charge for each click?
If Jack Pervman has to pay for each click, this could get quite expensive, no?

  13. --Blue Girl says:

driven by a group of left-wing people

Shouldn’t he have said “driven by a group of fags who want to get married” – ? I mean, according to him, gay marriage is the gravest threat our nation faces, it’s five times graver than al Qaeda and the war in Iraq combined.

You can spoof a phone number and a caller ID name with VOIP ya know!!

My cell phone was stolen by a phreaker!!

It was an employee in my office!!

    Hackers did it!!

Clinton snuck in my home and used my phone!!

He said he was calling Mcdonalds to see if they had onion rings!!

Shane, all the pundits and GOP jerkoffs would be wildly amusing if it wasn’t for their ongoing attempts to ruin this country. They are all laughable (more in the YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING sense than the real ha ha sense) but it’s so hard to laugh when they are bringing down this once great country.

I commend the creative use of the technology, but any redeeming value that may bring is wiped out by the predictable and pathetic “left-wingers hate me” defense. If you’re using the internet, you should use it to support your case with linked facts – not blustering rhetoric… that dog dont hunt.

I’d say his money would be better spent on lawyers right now.

  19. roger says:

He certainly will have to pay for every single click. And every time the ad shows up, but isn’t clicked on, is called an impression – and those ad up too.

More than likely he has set a daily budget and when that’s spent the ad isn’t listed again until the next day. That kind of top of the page, sponsored link is pricey I would guess – probably costs him a few bucks for each click – maybe more.

LOL – so true, so true.

BUT…although I personally agree with you I also feel that we can be feisty and stand our ground. Whenever we hear their lies and mis-characterizations we need to counter them aggressively! We don’t need to be “mean” about it but we can be just as relentless as they are while we expose them.

Shall we continue with derangement and lunacy. As to misguided rage, just two words: Bill Clinton. Nuff Said

The developments of the last few days have not been kind to the so-called “values voters” of the Republican Party. One after another, paragons of conservative virtue have been going down (so to speak). And making matters worse, they are taking down the top GOP presidential campaigns with them.

    For the details, see:

Democrats don’t care for the most part.
But polls show that the right wing voters do care what you do in your private sexual life. Sexually repressed people usually are the ones that want to spy in your bedroom.

Hypocrisy seems to matter across the board with all voters.

I was flipping the news this morning and I think it was msnbc that was showing those polls this morning

  40. Roger Ailes says:

Did Burkman change his message to include even more typos? It now reads:

“BURKMAN RESPONDS: Web allegations are simply and completely false, driven by a group of left-wing people seeking to intimidate conservatives and independants.

As my viewers and readers know, I usually do not respond to silliness on the internet. But in this case–given the national and international coverage–I feel I must. The recent allegations concerning sollicitation are false lies. They have been printed and reprinted by websites with a long and intense history of harrassing me and trying to stop my commentary.

None of the sites even so much as contacted me for comment. But I can assure you that they will not succeed. My family and I have been through this before. During impeachment in the 90’s, every form of illegitimate pressure that could be brought to bear was brought to bear in an attempt to silence me. But they failed and seven years later, my commentary continues unabated and unphased. And it always will.

Thank you for watching and reading.”

    William Clinton!!!

  49. me says:

My god, three paragraphs and four spelling errors. This sort of thing always accompanies these morons.

Why is it that conservatives can’t spell??? I think it is because they are GOD-DAMNED STUPID.

Aside from the bad spelling, Jack Offerman includes this doozy, which doesn’t mean what he intended:

“None of the sites even so much as contacted me for comment. But I can assure you that they will not succeed.”

Jesus H. Christ, why are conservatives so DUMB??

“Although it is not true that all conservatives are stupid, it is true that most stupid people are conservative.”

    - John Stuart Mill

  50. J Lewd says:

Thanks for the John Stuart Mill quote; it’s a classic.

P.S. — Burkman’s not a real Republican; he solicited FEmale prostitutes.

Did you say the same thing about Clinton and Monica, Ringo the Grudge? If not, then STFU.

  52. J Lewd says:

The funny thing: there’s a grab bag of Republican names pulling “grab bag,” but the only name the bobbleheads can come up with for the Democrats is “B-B-Bill Clinton.”

Psst. I don’t know if you redneck retards know this or not, but Bill Clinton’s no longer president.

  53. Probus says:

Burkman and other Christian conservatives have been exposed as hypocrites who say one thing in public and do another. They have a double standard. There is no use denying it, Burkman needs to come clean. He can no longer hide from this. Trying to blame liberals won’t get him anywhere either. He needs to take responsibility for his actions. He clearly broke the law. This is his shame and his alone.

  54. hillwomp says:

consenting women throw themselves at Bill Clinton. republicans have to buy sex.

  55. pakaal says:

Google AdWords is a pay-per-hit service. Take a moment, or two, or a minute, etc., and click on the Burkman ad. Costs you nothing (but finger energy and whatever you’re paying for internet) and costs him whatever he’s specified as the $$ limit on the adword listing.

  56. Vyan says:

As others have noted, anyone running an Adwords styled campaign is literally paying by the click in order to have their site appear in a prominent position. I think the proper thing to do is to blogswarm him through google – don’t go directly to his site, click on his sponsored site ad over and over again – and drain his bank account.
