We were lied into this war. Bush took advantage of our nation’s solidarity after 9-11 to meet a political agenda that had nothing to do with 9-11, or bin Laden. Our presence in Iraq has made us less safe. The latest NIE report indicates that al Qaeda which is in Afghanistan and not in Iraq is back to its original strength since before 9-11. This indicates that Bush’s policy in Iraq has made us less safe. That is unacceptable.

Al Qaeda in Iraq has no specific connection to bin Laden. There is no proof that the two are connected in terms of organizational structure or sharing of resources. Murtha is right the moment our troops leave Iraq the Shiias and Sunnis will want al Qaeda in Iraq out as well because there are so few of them. Bush is in no position to make any predictions about this war. He’s been wrong about all of them since day 1. As Kerry said in 1971, “How can you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?” This war is Bush’s mistake and no one should have to die for it.

Dear Speaker Pelosi,
I encourage Congress to file simultaneous impeachment proceedings against Mr. George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and Alberto Gonzales immediately. At the same time indict Harriet Meiers for her failure to appear at hearings. She is not above the legal mandates issued by congress.

It is clear that the President, et al, are not behaving rationally concerning the wars in the middle east, Iraq and Afghanistan. There is more than enough evidence to bring a case for impeachment against each of them. By bringing simultaneous impeachment charges it will call attention to the extent of the corruption and the illegal practices of this White House administration.

The majority of Americans comprehend what Congress seems to fail to understand. That this sitting president behaves like a spoiled child.

Why do you, a Mother, and leader, choose to indulge this dangerous child, who wears the mantle of president of the United States. This same spoiled child that alone has the power to press a nuclear button that can effectively create holocaust throughout the world. I do not understand your failure to immediately press for removal of such a person as Mr. Bush. Please start impeachment proceedings. You were elected to do what was necessary to change the direction of this nation. There is no other recourse at this point.

Avoiding the impeachment process implies that the democrats in congress are as interested as the republicans in keeping the war money flowing into their districts. No matter how many die for the political contributions and profits garnered by the war. Simple logic indicates that the reason democrats have not moved for impeachments is because they, too have given sway to the lobbiests and war profiteering corporations, thinking it will suit their own best, personal interests.

There is no sane reason to allow this president and his entourage to continue the destruction of America, as well as of other nations it deems unfit to govern their own affairs.

We need to get out of Iraq and Afghanistan. We need to discontinue threats agains Iran. And, we need to mind our own business. (caveat: provide food, medicines, and education to those in need).

You see, for the Leftists, the negation implies the affirmation. So, for example, if one man (A) kills another man (B), this implies that, in fact, A gives birth to B!

Accordingly, if the US is killing Muslim terrorists, for a Lefty, this implies that the US is creating more Islamic terrorists!!!

It isn’t that they don’t understand. It is that they just don’t care. It they did they would be cutting funding for veteran benefits, housing, Social Security, and their health care. If they did, they wouldn’t be discharging so many people who have served their country honorably with a “Personality Disorder” discharge which excludes them from their health care and disability benefits. They wouldn’t use them and throw them away like garbage.
