MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann will moderate the AFL-CIO Presidential Candidates Forum in Chicago on Aug. 7. Go HERE to read all the questions submitted by union members and vote for your favorites, which will be asked at the forum.
Because a good moderator isn’t the star of the show — his job is to facilitate the proceedings, not pontificate. And if he does his job well, he will be the least visible person there.
While I love listening to Olbermann’s opinion pieces, I can imagine him setting aside that hat and wearing the one of moderator for a night. Can you honestly see BillO or Hannity surrendering the spotlight under any circumstances?
Another symptomatic exppression which belies the torment of your self awareness as it becomes aware that you have no friends, and all the others, they hate’cha.
This will be an amazing night, I will tune in on every TV possible for me to tune in with. I don’t think KO will be the one to accept an answer like “Ya, Health Care is EXTREMELY important, in fact I say it’s a good topic”
He’d be all over that like stink on shit. I want this, I want them to answer some of the burning questions on my mind. What specifically are you going to do with health care? What specifically are you going to do to restore our faith in our voting machines?
Without these questions answered in a non-formulated response I don’t see how any of them will get my vote. I really don’t care if I throw my vote away this year, I’m sick of hearing “Ya, I’m going to do stuff, things and they’re going to be good”
Now that’s one I’m looking forward to. I started watching Countdown because it was fun. Was happy to find that the “sports guy” had a much better understanding of issues and politics (and followed the news more carefully) than the beltway boobs.
Who cares?
July 17th, 2007 at 1:54 pmThis could be interesting.
July 17th, 2007 at 1:56 pmI wonder why the rupubs never pick BillO or Hannity to host their dabates??

July 17th, 2007 at 2:02 pmTo RUCerious –
I agree. I can’t wait to see KO skewer the first candidate who tries to get away with answering a question with a tired soundbite.
Pity he’s moderating the Dems. I’d love to see him moderate a Repub debate.
