President Bush’s approval rating in Wisconsin, according to a new poll conducted by a conservative polling firm. The rating is “a new low” for the President, whose previous low in polls by the firm was 24 percent.

Actually something republicans do, by having multiple homes in different states, they vote multiple times, and no Justice department political flak will raise a peep.
“It’s okay for Repukes to lie, steal, and molest children if their names begin and end w/ vowels or consonants.”
No that is not ok. We must sacrifice Republicans and ignore the wrong doing of us liberals, like they do here at TP. It is the only way for us to advance liberalism!
I think Mr P’s mad because he mad such a complete fool of himself over that “Moslem Thing”. Of course, we did bring it up over and over again, kinda rubbing it in his face, but, hey, it was good clean fun.

Oh yeah – the Stock Market. Not what I’d call rational. Better keep some money in your mattress – big time adjustment coming.
Well, I’d like nothing better than to hang around breathlessly awaiting another pearl of wisdom from “liberal”, but I have to get some sleep. Long day tomorrow.
What is funny is the libs acting like Bush’s numbers are going so low and ignoring the fact that the Democrats are going even lower. There is something about that that gives me pleasure.
“Bush administration officials unveiled a bold new assertion of executive authority yesterday in the dispute over the firing of nine U.S. attorneys, saying that the Justice Department will never be allowed to pursue contempt charges initiated by Congress against White House officials once the president has invoked executive privilege.”
Are you sure about Ted Bundy? I think many people find serial killers intriguing. I’d probably rather have that beer with Bundy. The conversation would certainly be far more engaging
I think now we need to ask the question “So it’s ok for Bush to have a low rating because congress has one?”
This is the same thing as when they were like “Well, Clinton commuted people worse off”
So because Clinton did a bad thing, it makes it ok for anyone to do?
I seriously want to know what’s going on in the 19%’s head. I mean at this point all your friends, neighbors and co-workers have come to the conclusion that Bush isn’t doing the best of jobs how in the world can you stand alone on this issue?
And another reasons the congress have such low numbers is that we’re judging them as a whole. We should be now asking in who stood on what issues and such to find out what their being approved or disapproved of. The democrats I think are doing the best job they can under the rules they face. If our democracy worked like a real democracy should, by this time next year Iraq would be taken off the table.
On the Colbert Report, John Cougar mentioned The Golden Rule.
Colbert asked if we should go over and get them fight them there blah blah or whatever and Mellencamp says Nope. Golden Rule.
It was great, a real Christian.
On April 19, Timothy McVeigh parked a truck in front of a federal building in OKC and killed 168 people (many children). This was retaliation for what our governmet did in Waco, Texas on that same date.
If we keep perpetuating this attack mode we will keep getting attacked. Wasn’t Jesus the One who taught The Golden Rule?
Wouln’t it suck to be in a war zone and you really have no idea why these foreingers rushed in. You’re just going about you life. Wouln’t it be fcked up to have to avoid bombs on your way to work. Fck that. I don’t want to get bombed, but we’re doing it to someone else so that we don’t have to.
It doesn’t seem like a very good application of The Golden Rule.
Why do Chistians support this?
Muslims? Islam? End of Days? Left Behind? Kill Everyone who doesn’t believe?
Perhaps if all the states make a loud statement by voting (symbolically) to impeach Bush and Cheney in their state legislatures it might catch on like fire across the nation. Maybe that would light a fire under Congress’s tail end..
Appaently the point is that people are unhappy with politics as we know it in an archaic two party system. Both parties are afluent white guys of a generation which has outlived themselves. Why not get past this game of “I know I am but what are you” and get on with some ideas of what to do next….
So…Americans dislike the current Congress more than the Congress which repealed habeus corpus, buggered Congressional pages, and let our wounded vets lie around in their own urine?
Hundreds were in on it…thousands know the truth.
Now you do.
Comment by ace — July 20, 2007 @ 7:27 am
You do realize that this is Washington DC, right? Where leaking is a bigger sport than the Redskins, Nationals, and Capitals combined. The conspiracy you’re citing involves the paying off of thousands of military and civil service personnel in the government, plus thousands of local law enforcement agents and eyewitnesses.
It almost seems like the wild conspiracy theories are just an attempt to distract people from the core story that a group funded by the CIA through BCCI eventually hijacked four planes to bite the hand that once fed them.
I’m in Wisconsin. It’s gratifying to watch the farmers and deer hunters turn on Bush, because they’re no-nonsense folk. They don’t really care much about 99% of what happens outside their neighborhood because it’s mostly bull & rhetoric anyway.
Wisconsinites do have a high rate of military service however (particularly in Indian country) and they know when they’re getting jacked around. When a soldier dies and they’re sitting in the bar and can’t think of something good to say about the cause they died for, they get pretty pissed.
Ok, that’s it, I’m throwing in the towel. After reading this thread I realize that the Trolls and those who feed the trolls are now in control of this site.
For those of you who actually believe that Bin Laden was involved in the 9/11 attacks, the FBI Most Wanted web site disagrees with you, and so does Wikipedia:
“The FBI does not yet have ‘hard evidence’ linking him to the 9/11 attacks and so as of 2006 he has only been indicted on the embassy murders; he is officially still only a suspect in ‘other terrorist attacks throughout the world’.â€
Please respond specifically to these points and explain it in come plausible manner that supports the government’s explanation.
Comment by ace — July 20, 2007 @ 8:04 am
Same reason Al Capone was arrested for tax evasion. There’s no evidence that directly links him to the attacks. That to me is also consistent with a cautious and skilled money launderer. Or an organization that operates as a a disconnected network of independent cells.
I buy that there are a lot of connections and “coincidences” around the attack, but some of them seem to cancel each other out. Usama bin Laden is simultaneously dead, alive, and never existed. The hijackers are all alive and well in their home countries but were also allowed into the country to carry out the attack. The Pentagon was hit by a remote-controlled plane and a cruise missile and an actual passenger plane both with and without passengers on board. The three buildings at the trade center were hit by actual planes and remote-controlled planes and were brought down in a controlled demolition. Administration officials knew not to fly on commercial airlines before the attack but didn’t know when it would happen but also knew when it would happen and didn’t do anything about it. And the entire operation was financed and carried out by Mossad, the CIA, ISI, China, the Saudis, and defense contractors, all of whom have competing goals but somehow worked together for this operation.
I’m skeptical of the official story, but I’m also skeptical of the conspiracy theories. An administration capable of carrying out this kind of operation on U.S. soil is also very capable of disseminating red herrings.

July 20th, 2007 at 2:29 amI think now we need to ask the question “So it’s ok for Bush to have a low rating because congress has one?”
July 20th, 2007 at 2:49 amOn the Colbert Report, John Cougar mentioned The Golden Rule.

July 20th, 2007 at 8:14 amI’m in Wisconsin.

July 20th, 2007 at 9:39 amFor those of you who actually believe that Bin Laden was involved in the 9/11 attacks, the FBI Most Wanted web site disagrees with you, and so does Wikipedia:
