I take objection to one comment, that Bush is a "punk." I don't see how anyone could think that he belives in the punk ideology, anti-government control and pacifism in general, and I doubt very much he likes the music.

I will state something more important here though:
Lots of comments, but why doesn't any focus on "the law." Political arguments are fine, but a judge has to follow the law and that includes the Constitution. There may in fact be no remedy under the US Constitution - and that the judge so found, doesn't mean that he is biased or mean.

Treason is involved as has been commented by others, though it is not directly mentioned in this particular Valerie Plame case according to at least some legal perspectives. Valerie Plames Attorney is right in further pursuit of this case such as building on the case of Treason guilt by Vice President Cheney recorded in recent previous news at NewsWhiteHouse.com. The fact is, as at the top of this Think Progress page shows, many lower courts wrongly focus on how laws pertain to their jurisdictions rather than on the higher principles, such as checks and balances, the higher reason for the Judicial Branch in the first place: Instead of detracting from the Libby case guilt and similar, it is the duty of the Judicial Branch to pursue: High crimes rather than less significant. The Judicial Branch is to pursue even such as after the Libby pardon, to find the extent of corruption given far more than a good lead from reliable sources.

If you want to see what the judge said it can be found here. It is quite lengthy but has been an interesting read so far.

Doesn't Judge Bates also own a Motel?

Or maybe I'm just confusing him with some Psycho relative of his?

Which may explain why Judge Bates is covering for the Republican Psychos in the White House, Republican Psychos who didn't think twice about disclosing the top-secret covert identity of a career CIA officer, who was responsible for protecting our nation, and our nation's children, from the threat of other Psychos getting their hands on nukes or other WMD.

Yep, Psycho-loving Judge Bates has done a great, great service for the criminal Psychos in the Bush administration, but has done a grave, grave disservice to our nation.

Nooorrrmmaann!!!! Be a dear. Would you get that nice judge, cousin Bates, to come up here and change my bedpan, once he's finished changing the White House bedpans?

The Court also finds that it lacks subject-matter jurisdiction over the tort claim because plaintiffs have not exhausted their administrative remedies under the Federal Tort Claims Act, which is the proper, and exclusive, avenue for relief on such a claim.

You know, I saw this too, and I looked upt he FTCA (Federal Tort Claims Act) to see what it was all about.

comprehensive legislative scheme by which the United States has waived its sovereign immunity to allow civil suits for actions arising out of negligent acts of agents of the United States. The United States cannot be sued in a tort action unless it is clear that Congress has waived the government's sovereign immunity and authorized suit under the FTCA.

So, essentially, Congress has to waive immunity and then they can be sued. But if that's the case, the case should have been thrown out long ago and/or Palme's lawyers should have already gotten the waiver? It seems that if Palme DID get the waiver, then Bates statement about lack of jurisdiction is all crap.

Thank you, Joe and Valerie, for your service to the nation. You both served with honor and distinction, and that service is by no means erased by the jackals who assaulted you. This proud American will not forget.

I always hear the Goper talking point about either Joe blowing the cover or Valerie outing herself.

I never see the links and reasearch associated with that claim.

Well hey, the Judge that convincted Libby was a Bush appointee too. But he did his job. This guy is just an asshat.

Funny, because I JUST got done having a conversation with a Canadian about how American justice-system sucks. Well, here ya go. More proof our system sucks.

My voice proclaims
How exquisitely the individual Mind
(And the progressive powers perhaps no less
Of the whole species) to the external World
Is fitted:--and how exquisitely, too,
Theme this but little heard of among Men,
The external World is fitted to the Mind . . .

Hee's my William Wordsworth.

The writing is on the wall This corruption prevails throughout this entire government. Time to pick up your picks and harrows. The monster is in the lighthouse/whitehouse. Even the village idiot is stirring...hmmm something is very wrong.

"Anne Coulter sexy???????????????
About as sexy as (Hot) Karl Rove."

Sorry. Just barfed in my lap and all over the keyboard imaging that horrific combination of images. Keep the Terms of Use agreement in mind, please; this mess is going to take awhile to clean up.

She’s [Plame] a hot spicey blonde. And she’s a spy, which makes her even more sexy. And the fact that she’s not a right wing maggot, makes her that much hotter.

And the fact that she's not a 15-year-old boy ruins it for me.

What evil Mikey?

Take a hike over to Iraq and spend a week walking around. Hire an interpreter and have them ask the people you meet on the street about their lives.
Then come back here and if you still don't know what evil, I'll buy you a pretzel.
