DeLay: Abortion linked to undocumented immigration.»

At a College Republicans gathering, former congressman Tom DeLay attempted to blame abortion for undocumented immigration:

“I contend [abortion] affects you in immigration,” DeLay told the Washington-area gathering. “If we had those 40 million children that were killed over the last 30 years, we wouldn’t need the illegal immigrants to fill the jobs that they are doing today. Think about it.”

The immigrants are here because the USA is underpopulated?

That man is insane. I can’t believe that anyone listens to him.

I believe that most Lemming Republics are anti choice because they hate to see all that potential “cannon fodder” being wasted. They love the fetus but hate the child. If a woman is forced to have a baby she can’t afford, though shit once the baby is here and the woman can’t afford to feed and clothe it.

  4. toasterhead Says:

Good point - the U.S. economy would be in far worse shape, crime would be worse, and there would be less of a draw for immigrants to come to the U.S.

Last time that I checked, their much beloved President was HIGHLY IN FAVOR of illegal immigration.

And we most certainly wouldn’t want to guarantee health insurance for those unwanted kids.

  8. Jackson Says:

Yes, by forcing women to have babies (infringing on their basic rights to choose whether or not to be a parent) Mexico’s economy will experience a resounding resurrection and poor Mexicans will no longer feel the need to flee to America for jobs. Brilliant.

    That video is genius.

  9. TripMaster Monkey Says:

Heck, Tom, why don’t you just say that some of those 40 million could have been soldiers in Iraq, which would have enabled us to win the War on Terror by now?

Go ahead, Tom…tie terrorism into it too. Make it a trifecta of Repuke talking-point-stupidity.

If ever there was a gathering of scary human cells, it would be that Young Republicans convention in DC!

They remind me of the same group during the Vietnam war that drooled all over Nixon and parroted everything back that they were given to say, including pre-printed posters for staged demonstrations. They even had choreographers who would place the signs and the bodies for the best TV coverage.

    Any of this sound familiar???

  20. veritas Says:

Yeah let’s force those women to have babies so that we can build up a sizeable workforce of unskilled low wage workers. Yipee! Why stop there why not force the pregnancy on the women to begin with. We can just prostuted them out to senior republicans and kill two birds with one stone. Satisfy their sexual cravings while building up an unskilled work force. Hey Tom do you think we can trust women to be out in open society or should we just have them all interred in a government camp. You F’ing Nazi!

We’d better be vigilant - the brownshirts are gathering their sociopathic forces. On the bright side, they’re all pussies, and will disappear in a puff of malodorous steam as soon as confronted directly. The trick is that you have to confront them in person - blogging against them won’t work, because it offers them anonimity.

  40. veritas Says:

loretta: ughhhh! I was tempted to watch it but saw that guy on the photo and realized that what I’d be watching was another case of republican homsexual hypocrisy. And I do not imply that I have any problem with any sexual orientation - live and let live - and we’re all equal according to the Golden Rule. But I just suspected that it would uncover more republican hypocrisy.

  41. Candyce Says:

hiya, veritas! I think TRoS will have to go back and collect our pool stats, but everyone on that list is a good possibility.

  42. Zimzone Says:

DeLay is a lot like those young Turds in the video; all talk & no walk.

It must be nice to be a young chickenhawkshit. Living in denial but espousing Rovian talking points.

Interesting to watch how they justify not serving. They’ve got some work to do yet. Maybe KKKarl can issue some new talking points on how to respond to the question ‘are you going to join the military’?

Ummm, I believe in our President, but I don’t have time now.

illegal immigrants do the jobs that Americans won’t….but only because even cheaper labor was aborted.

As long as DeLay is on a roll here, why doesn’t he claim that global warming is necessary because it keeps terrorists too hot to fight?

  53. Grand Moff Texan Says:

I guess this gang of ex-AV nerds imagines they will all be megarich business leaders some day, so, if they take capital gains taxes seriously, they will look that much more important today.

  56. CT_V1 Says:

    Typical lefty loony terminology…..

“Undocumented Immigrant”: a country burglarizer who’s victims are directed NOT to call the police, but instead, they are to furnish a comfy bedroom for the criminal. No punitive action is to be taken. Crimes must be left “undocumented.”

    Common sense, real world term….

Illegal Immigrant: a country burglarizer who is shipped off to jail for invading and showing clear disdain for the United States. Deportation follows immediately.

So, there is a crime worse than treason? I don’t think so.

As for the sentence he received, that was the sentence. the sentence wasn’t mandatory, but the judge felt that the guidelined merited the sentence. He’s a Republican appointed judge, after all (until he disagrees with Bushco, apparently).

Character? libby is a traitor who participated in a criminal conspiract to commit Treason. he should hung by the neck until dead, on the steps of the US Capitol, and lrft there for all to see, until the birsd and rats have picked his bones clean.

He wasn’t charged with treason, because he obstructed the investigation, you piece of scat. Do you ever wonder why, given that someone in Bushco obviously outed one of our own spies, no one has been charged with the crime and the inestigation has ended? History will out the conspiracy to commit treason (the motive was profit), as well as the act of treason itself. The guilty will include all of the senior BA people. All of them.

I take it, from reading your misdirections, that you don’t think that Treason is a serious crime. Please post your thoughts regarding exactly who outed Plame and why. Keep these facts in mind while composing your post:

Plame was a covert agent (according to the CIA).

Actors in the BA, including, but not limited to Armitage (as indicated by libby’s obstruction conviction), orchestrated the campaign to endanger Plame as punishment to her husband.

Treason is a Capital crime in the US.

Frankly, you have a sound rebuttal, but the attackers weren’t indicted because they obviously killed themselves off. The probable cause was there, however, as you state.

Rove, Libby, and others, however, ARE alive and would be able stand trial if the probably cause for TREASON existed in their cases. The special prosecutor, a good and thorough one at that, hasn’t exactly presented any proof for a formal indictment of treason.

  131. Grand Moff Texan Says:

Illegal bummigrants drive drunk, kill people in the process, and commit other heinous crimes.

Gee, that’s not what Tony Snow told me.

“In the small number of studies providing empirical evidence, immigrants are generally less involved in crime than similarly situated groups, despite the wealth of prominent criminological theories that provide good reasons why this should not be the case.”

Authors Ramiro Martinez Jr. and Matthew T. Lee note, for instance, that the Latino homicide rate in Miami is three times that of El Paso, Texas, which has one of the nation’s largest immigrant populations.

That’s not just an anomaly. Another major study, “U.S. Impacts of Mexican Immigration,” by professors Michael J. Greenwood and Marta Tienda reports that “crime rates along the border are lower than those of comparable non-border cities.”

This doesn’t mean immigrants from Mexico are saints — it just means that they may not be the marauding horde some make them out to be. As it turns out, crime rates in the highest immigration states have been trending significantly downward.

Total crime and property crime in California are half what they were in 1980; violent crime has fallen more than a third. The state’s Hispanic population during that time has increased 120 percent.

Similar trends apply in other high-traffic states, with the exception of Colorado. While Arizona’s population grew 41.8 percent between
1993 and 2003, for instance, the rates for every major category of crime fell.

    .

I taught in an inner city school for sometime and found almost all new comers to be decent hard working families and young people far more honorable then their spolied spawn of old time wasp classmates

Interesting…isn’t that what the Pharasees kept saying to Jesus when he consorted with thieves, tax collectors, and prostitutes?

You sure that’s the side you wanna be lining up on?

Then please explain to me why he would be Smiling???

you know what Bi-polar means? extreme mood swings. I’d say that entails every woman between the age of 40 and 55.

And you’re missing my point. Reguardless of whether he was nuts or not. He addmited he had only been here for 6 months and Illegaly! Should we just import any persons that have mental problems and put them on welfare?

Hi Zooey! Good to see you here - I got a bit worried last weekend when the incoherent troll ravings got to be too much for even you (you seem to have a high tolerance).

This immigration issue really polarizes people. It’s a problem in the city that I live in and no-one seems to know how to deal with it. But arresting people at the immigration office after they’ve been trying to get their legal papers for over 15 years does NOT seem to be the way to go! That’s a current case here, in which the couple’s American teenage daughter is facing being left behind when they deport her parents (who were recently thrown in jail after being arrested at the immigration office).

I’ve met illegal immigrants who pay their taxes, get married (often to born-and-raised Americans), have children and cross their fingers hoping for the best because they’re too afraid to apply for papers, taking the chance that they will then just get deported.

Of course, there are bad apples in with the good ones just like anywhere else.

Hmmm, apparently you don’t know what “bipolar” or “entails” means.

How big are the keys on your Playskool™ keyboard? Do they light up and play songs for you?
