I have one question for all of you, did it ever occur to you that there are illegal immigrants from other countries?
Affluent, educated, multi lingual, hard working etc, etc. from “rich” countries in the EU or otherwise, like Germany, Switzerland, France, Sweden, Finland, England bla bla bla, that try to do everything the right way, apply with the right forms, have sponsors and degrees…… follow the rules while they are still legal….. their applications take years to surface from the piles or boxes they are stored in, they become illegal…….. what is one supposed to do?

One has built a life, friends, work, should they just stop working because once becoming “ILLEGAL” you’re not supposed to…. or do they keep working illegaly, pay their taxes and spend their money here….

Everyone always only talks about Mexico…. and frankly, I don’t believe a moment that the jobs illegal farmworkers/hotel workers/ hospitality workers etc. do would be occupied by Americans….

Anyone of you ever plucked strawberries for 8 hours in a row…..

Did he seriously just suggest that instead of women getting abortions they should carry the pregnancy to term and force the child to become a low-wage worker so we don’t have illegal immigrants taking those jobs?

Sometimes those conservatives really just do not think their plans through. He probably just thought “wait there are x million illegal immigrants and y million abortions… whoa! we could have kicked out the Mexicans!”

Are you sure about that?

My understanding is that the price and availability of tortillas has been directly affected (negatively) in Mexico by the demand for corn due to the increased use of ethanol. I appreciate efforts to come up with alternative fuels but perhaps we should search past using our food sources for energy? But, then again, that’s another topic.

now. on this mexican issue. If it were little green men doing jobs for less money, feeding off our health and welfare system, and over populating our country I would be saying the same thing verbatum. I never once said a single word about Mexico’s culture. I am only stateing the facts of what we are up against.
