Sen. Reid, after speaking with his constituents and conducting a few focus groups decided he deplored these attacks on his character. The non-binding resolution politely asking the right wing to act “nice” is forthcoming.

What if… they are just playing the good cop and bad cop trick?
The good dems vs the bad repubs…
But, maybe, they are just all the same bunch of rich politicians trying to take over the country. The dems would be just there to “buffer”/calm our reaction to this takeover.
The trick is to make people believe there is only 2 choices, either dems or repubs… when in fact there is only one choice…
Ahhh, the utopic democracy!

The Senate does not have the 60 required votes to defund. That, it seems, should be obvious. Presidents Bush and Cheney own this war as do their supporters. Trading blood for oil. You get to live with that. Others had to die for that.

Thanks for the lesson Martha, you are a dear. BTW – love the picture on Wired Magazine. I didn’t know you were a gamer (nudge nudge, wink wink).

I seriously doubt that impeachment is a viable option – again with the votes, but congress (Reid, Pelosi – any of those with access to the bully pulpit) need to constantly reminding the American public of BushCo’s lies, and attempts to subvert the constitution. A dialog is what I seek.

Impeachment starts in the House, and concludes in the Senate.

If impeachment proceedings were introduced in the House, and all Representatives votes along strictly party lines, I believe there would be enough votes to start the process. No doubt, the obstructionist Repukes in the Senate would work very hard to insure that any impeachments would not result in a conviction, but just having the process would bring a lot of sordid facts to light.

I’m surprised at you Zooey. I for one believe that Democrats aren’t doing enough to bring down this criminal administration, and it’s quite possible that they are complicit! Trolls here are an opportunity, #1 – to expose the baseness of the authoritarian attitude, and #2 to talk about the issue at hand.

If republicans turn up the heat on Reid by claiming he is ‘all talk and no action’, they are doing the lords work. You know why? Because Reid is all talk and no action, that’s why. Impeachment off the table, my ass.
