Conyers seeks copies of Mueller’s notes.

During the House Judiciary Committee’s hearing with FBI Director Robert Mueller today, Rep. Arthur Davis (D-AL) asked Mueller whether he retained notes of his March 2004 conversation with Ashcroft in the hospital. Mueller said he did take notes because the events were so “out of the ordinary.” Chairman John Conyers wrote to Mueller after the hearing requesting access to those notes. “I write now to formalize that request, and ask that you provide the Committee with copies of the notes to which you referred in your testimony,” Conyers said. The notes will likely provide further evidence that Alberto Gonzales misled Congress when he said those 2004 discussions were about “other intelligence activities.”

Speaking of our soldiers, did anyone read this today:

    Then read this:
    http://www.uslaboragainstwar.org/article.php?id=13594

    Including this:

“Another young Halliburton worker named James Logsdon told me about the burn pits. Burn pits are large dumps near military stations where they would burn equipment, trucks, trash, etc. If they ordered the wrong item, they’d throw it in the burn pit. If a tire blew on a piece of equipment, they’d throw the whole thing into the burn pit. They burn pits had so much equipment, they even gave them a nickname — “Home Depot.”

The trucker said he would get us some photos. And I naively asked, how big are they, the size of a backyard swimming pool? He laughed, and referred to one that he had seen that was 15 football fields large, and burned around the clock! It infuriated him to have to burn stuff rather then give it to the Iraqis or to the military. Yet Halliburton was being rewarded each time they billed the government for a new truck or new piece of equipment. With a cost- plus contract, the contractors receive a percentage of the money they spend. As Shane told me, “It’s a legal way of stealing from the government or the taxpayers’ money.”"

    This has me really pissed.

I knew you had a sense of humor. :D

Of course the one and only reason that Alberto Gonzales is now this country’s Attorney General has absolutely nothing to do with “merit”, for there are very few meritorious about him, save perhaps his complete and utter devotion to protecting the man who made his “career”, but “loyalty”. Loyalty to one man, above all else, including the people, the country, the law, and the constitution. It really is that simple.

And the primary reason he is desperate to protect the existence of thos national security reason is because they are quite likely illegal and unconstitutional and, therefore, not subject to the protection of true national security interests. And if they were subject to thsi protection, they would also be subject to Congressional review, to make sure that the power was not being abused. I can;t tell you how many times I’ve heard a Republican say about these porgrams, “If you’ve done nothing wrong, you’ve got nothing to worry about.” Funny how it doesn;t work the other way around.

I seriously believe that we need to have a constitutional convention, and i would love to be able to find a way to have real average citizens make real suggestions. take in all of them. Show the world how a true Democracy works.

But that’s beside the point. The concept of Executive Privilege appears nowhere inthe constitution, despite the fact that past SCOTUS decisions have acknowledged some “necessity” for it. Their reasoning is flawed in that they ignore the fact that advice given to the president ought to be in the public interest and, if not truly dealing with national security, available to the public to scrutinize. If it can’t withstand public scutiny, then it is probably not in the public’s interest. And, this is the most important point that seems to be overlooked, amazingly enough, they are public servants, and they are supposed to be working in our interests AT ALL TIMES!

Somewhere along the line these a-holes actually got the idea that they are allowed to use out money, and the power we gave them, to enrich themselves and their friends. I’m not naive, it’s been going on since man has had governments. And there used to be reasons for that related to the cultures and times involved. But for a nation founded upon the principles of which this one was?

Looks like Pat Tillman was murdered, and it was covered up

Army medical examiners were suspicious about the close proximity of the three bullet holes in Pat Tillman’s forehead and tried without success to get authorities to investigate whether the former NFL player’s death amounted to a crime, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.

“The medical evidence did not match up with the, with the scenario as described,” a doctor who examined Tillman’s body after he was killed on the battlefield in Afghanistan in 2004 told investigators.

The doctors – whose names were blacked out – said that the bullet holes were so close together that it appeared the Army Ranger was cut down by an M-16 fired from a mere 10 yards or so away.

Hi, Wayne. This angers the hell out of me, too. I have always had the utmost respect for you Rangers. We used to joke in the Air Force that we were smarter because we had the sense not to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. But the truth, for most of us, I’m sure, was that we respect you guys because you have the courage to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. That’s one of the reasons many of us chose to go into the Air Force. If y ou and your team did your jobs right, you’d never have to do that. (Unless you were in a Combat Comm squad.)

There was a General who attended the funeral who knew that this was a case of fraticide. I wonder how much of the details he knew at that time? Did he know it was murder, or just that one of our own killed another of our own?

Mr. Peepee and his gang of idiots can laugh and play games, but when the chickens have all settled in, they’ll be the first to disown their party and their creedo, because they are cowardly instigators. Already, neocon acquaintences of mine (who used to shout-down BA detractors, as if he who yells the loudest or acts the cockiest has won the debate) cringe and quickly change the subject when their past claims to superior political ideology are mentioned. As the old chestnut goes, a fool and his money are soon parted. The fools that voted the asshat and his cronies into office (twice!) are starting to understand that they are not part of the club, and have been rankly abused.

God it feels great to have been right from the get-go.

I know, but try to get them to admit it. The proof is finally uncovered, and yet they will not accept the fact that they were wrong about the way the world should be run.

I think the primary flaw in their thinking is that they think that everyone else ibnt the world will approach the solution to a problem in the same way that they would, and treat everyone else as such. And when the opposition to them turns out to have the facts on their side, rather than attack their own beliefs, they attack their attackers. They cannot accept that the model upon which their socio-political philosophy is based is incorrect.

In short, they forget that we all need each other in order to survive. They just feel that you are entitled to make your own life better as payment for helping another human being out. They do not believe in altruism, as there is no money in it, and nothing material to be gained for yourself.

Also, I remember reading that Pat Tillman had arranged to meet with Noam Chomsky when he returned from Afghanistan. I wonder if that played into this.
    http://www.thehumanist.org/humanist/articles/Niman.JanFeb06.html
“Tillman, we now know, was also in contact with one of his favorite authors, America’s leading intellectual dissident, Noam Chomsky. Actually, it looks like you referenced it by the time stamp, which I find most helpful. It tells someone exactly where the post should be found, instead of searching through everry post to find the frame of reference. I personally favor seeing more posters use this method, but I can’t demand it of them. Some trolls like to omit that information in order to make you waste your time. And I know how that sounds. For the record, I moved her in with me, not the other way around. And I love her and I’m going to make sure she’s okay, and that’s just the way it is. And I’ve gotten her to read these threads, so “Hi, Mom. You caught me!”

Actually I’m sitting in what was once the breezeway bwetween the house and the garage my mother now lives in. My girlfriend sent me a ppt with the most famous photos in the world, and one of them was that one. Naked, scared and hurt. I try to imagine what she must have felt at that moment and I cant. The sickest part of it is that only after 50,000+ US soldiers killed, US govt decided to withdraw from Vietnam, while that little country was pounded with bombs, chemicals and landmines, leaving millions of Vietnamese dead. Nobody cares about civilians.

    Comment by Juan C — July 27, 2007 @ 1:07 am

First, I would want to know WHEN (the date) he was supposed to come home from Afghanistan and meet with Chomsky to discuss what he had learned that had him so disillusioned about the war (that had Tillman calling it ‘illegal’). Then I would want to ask if it was an election year..? What did he learn that he wanted to tell Chomsky that may have been so threatening to the war effort?
    Who benefits? Who was threatened?

Frankly if it was murder, they took care of something they percieved as a problem AND turned it to their advantage by painting him the hero and destroying all evidence to the contrary that might implicate them. Who would question the death of a hero who died in action fighting for his country? (Thank God his family).

Pat Tillman WAS a hero, not just the way they tried to ‘play’ it.
If this ends up being proved to be murder, then somebody had better pay, and pay big time. I just feel like everybody who gets in the way of the momentum of this ‘war plan’ pays dearly. Senator Clinton asks the Pentagon this week about any plans for redeplyment at some point and she is immediately painted as unpatriotic and accused of aiding the enemy.

Has it always been like this with Administrations and war? Is it just because this is the first time in my life I paid attention??

Yes, but not to the extent and complete dishonesty of this particular administration. There have been true war heroes in previous conflicts (Audie Murphy, Sgt Alvin York) who have been, to some degree exploited, but I don’t think they had to lie about the circumstances, like the way they did with Pvt Jessica Lynch (whom I do not blame in the least for what was done to her, and who still exhibited bravery above and beyond to survive her ordeal. But they used her, and in an ugly way.) And now this about Pat Tillman?

I’m very ambivalent in my feelings toward the Clintons, not a real big fan, if the truth be told, but I feel the need to defend them (or at least not attack them) because the Clintons don’t have an R after their names. It’s kind of a misplaced loyalty, but it’s better than the alternative.

The skin of his head was lying flat on the ground at the end of his neck, like a a deflated rubber ball, and there was a big spot of red matter on the ground leading away from what had been his head.

Sadly, it would make a lot of our fellow citizens start sounding like our friend Mr. P. They would blame all Arabs, Iraqi in particular, and Muslims everywhere for the actions of a few. Just as many Iraqis and Muslims hate all of us for the actions of the few in our government who acted extra-legally and unconstitutionally. Can anyone blame them for thinking that we are complicit for not having ridded ourselves of them yet?

For the sake of everything this nation stands for, we must remove this criminal cabal from power immediately. Impeachment shouldn’t merely be put back on the table, it should be the entire table’s contents! Then, and only then, should they move on with the rest of the people’s business. It’s my own interpretation of the constitution since, as we both know from outr oaths, was important enough to read and memorize as much as possible. I copied and pasted what I used, but I knew it was there to find from having read it many times. I keep a copy of it and the Amendments in a Word Document, linked on my desktop, so I can open it up and get the exact wording I need. Quite useful.

SENATOR GRAHAM CALLS FOR ACTION AGAINST AMERICANS WHO DISAGREE WITH BUSH

Sen. Lindsey Graham suggested to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales a new target for the administration’s domestic operations — Fifth Columnists, supposedly disloyal Americans who sympathize and collaborate with the enemy.

“The administration has not only the right, but the duty, in my opinion, to pursue Fifth Column movements,” Graham, R-S.C., told Gonzales during Senate Judiciary Committee hearings on Feb. 6.

“I stand by this President’s ability, inherent to being Commander in Chief, to find out about Fifth Column movements, and I don’t think you need a warrant to do that,” Graham added, volunteering to work with the administration to draft guidelines for how best to neutralize this alleged threat. “Senator,” a smiling Gonzales responded, “the President already said we’d be happy to listen to your ideas.”

    “PROBABLE CAUSE”

These are the two words that represent the threshold required to obtain a warrant under FISA.

    “REASONABLE SUSPICION”

These are the two words that separate Bush’s existing program from falling within the law of the land.

Bush and Gonzales have attempted to reinterpret the Constitution, claiming that spying on US Persons is justified when there exists a “REASONABLE SUSPICION” of wrong doing.

The threshold is “PROBABLE CAUSE” – a HIGHER THRESHOLD than Reasonable Suspicion.

They will avoid using these two words at all cost.

Regardless, a warrant under the supervision of FISA is ALWAYS a requirement for spying on US persons…period.

The ONLY reason not to seek a warrant under FISA is if the target of the spying is a US person for whom there is no “PROBABLE CAUSE” of a direct connection to terrorism.

Logic dictates that those who have been the subject of NSA surveillance without benefit of FISA have been US Persons not likely to be involved with terrorists.

Spying on US Persons for political purposes (or revenge) is the stuff impeachments are made of.

Good morning ace. You still trying to formulate an answer as to why Bush chose Liebermann to join his pro-Israel racket?

Its only been 24 hours, you think a guy could answer-up by now.

  451. ace says:

At a Republican National Convention many years ago, I visited in the Indiana delegation with U.S. Senator Bill Jenner. Bill told me a story I suspect may be apocryphal, but it packs quite a wallop.

In Germany, said Bill, during the 1930s, when that country was forbidden to rearm, a young man worked in a baby carriage factory. His wife was pregnant, so he conceived the idea of stealing a part from each factory division. When he had all the parts, he would assemble them and have a baby carriage.

So, every couple of days, he stole a part. When he had all the parts at home, he assembled them. What he wound up with was not a baby carriage, but a machine gun – which recalls the fact that in the beginning Hitler built his war machine with subterfuge. By the time the world became aware of it, it was too late.

Today, here in the United States, all the elements of totalitarian dictatorship that, because of modern technology would leave Hitler, and Stalin, etc., breathless with envy, have been meticulously installed, from the Patriot Act, which the congressmen who voted on it were not allowed to read, to Patriot II, the existence of which the White House denied, through the emasculation of the Posse Comitatus Act that forbade the domestic use of our military, to the act that cancels habeas corpus.

“From now on, if you are found to be “undermining efforts to promote economic reconstruction and political reform in Iraq and to provide humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people,” or if you are discovered to “pose a significant risk of committing” an act of violence that could threaten “the peace or stability of Iraq,” the federal government can “block” your property. The determination would be made by the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretaries of State and Defense.

So, what does this mean? What does it mean to “undermine efforts?” What does it mean not just to commit an act of violence, but to “pose a significant risk of committing” one? However broad and sloppy it is, doesn’t this language obviously refer to violent Islamic terrorists? Shouldn’t we give our own government the benefit of the doubt?

    snip

What does it mean to “undermine efforts?” Could it mean to criticize severely? If an American sincerely opposes spending our money to effect the economic reconstruction of Iraq, would “undermine efforts” to do that include organizing and working to prevent it? If the Secretary of the Treasury decides that is what you are doing, he apparently can seize your property.

Indeed, remember, the language of the new presidential Executive Order says nothing about undermining the American war effort. It says nothing about interfering with the military. The new offense consists of “undermining” the administration’s foreign economic policy. If you do that, you become, in the terminology of the Communist Manifesto, a “rebel” whose property the government can legally seize.

So, if we now have taken, or are about to take, without exception, every single one of the Communist Manifesto’s steps to Communism, wouldn’t that make us a Communist country? Yes, we fought the Communist countries we founded. So what? Dion O’Bannion fought Al Capone. Did that make him any less a gangster?

Four star general Tommy Franks, our former commander in Iraq, says the President will impose martial law and abolish the Constitution after the next “terrorist attack.” Some victims of astigmatism tell us there is nothing to worry about because, after all, we don’t have martial law today. In fact, a couple of weeks have passed since Boosh issued the new Executive Order and nobody’s property has been seized. No one has been called a “rebel.” The elaborate, totalitarian powers the government has written into the law have not been invoked, so there is “nothing to fear.”

Yes, maybe that is true. But there was “nothing to fear” from Hitler until he put everything in place. Remember the Enabling Act? There was “nothing to fear” from Stalin until he consolidated power. There was “nothing to fear” from Mao until Washington had forced President Chiang to flee. There was “nothing to fear” from Castro until he arrived in Havana and was installed by the United States.

Everything to do what they did and then some is now in place here.

You are a dolt. I again contacted TP to see if they could muzzle your bandwidth-stealing ass and perhaps teach you how to link.

Why Liebermann, ace, why did Bush choose Liebermann for his cabal?

  453. Piper says:

Its no use, pizza. Ace is a bigot, you can tell that much from his posts, though I suspect you know that already.

He is also one of the most feverish conspiracy goofnuts I have ever seen online, along with another toad who comes here named Jay Randal. The things these two geeks dream-up are laughable.

You add nothing to the search for the truth. You are clearly here to block others from learning the truth (as evidenced by your fervent desire to silence me). Your intentions are revealed by your own words and actions.

Thank you for providing me with a legitimate platform for posting the lengthy response above, which is precisely “on topic” in response to the question posed to me.

Any other questions you’d like me to answer?

Any questions about Israel’s Hasbara program or their Megaphone blogging software, perhaps?

    Piper:

Provide facts and links that prove the existence of Osama Bin Laden.
Provide facts and links that prove he played a role in 9/11.

This should be a simple enough task, right?

After all, it’s easy to prove a positive.

  456. Pizza the Hutt says:

Yeah, I know, and Ace will never answer about Liebermann because he is an anti-semite.

Yesterday he posted some screed about nuclear bombs being moved from Germany, breathlessly intoning that perhaps they were given to someone in an effort to vaporize the middle east or something. Then at the end of the rant he says he has no idea where the bombs went. LOL!

Its a circus in his head I tell ya. Living in the unlit basement of his parents house must be doing strange things to his mind.

  457. ace says:

Is the United States Government a bigot?

When I write about the Israeli spies and operatives in our government, how does that imply bigotry more than it implies patriotism and respect for the rule of law?

Is this written by a “conspiracy goofnut?”

    AIPAC SPY SCANDAL:

CONSPIRACY TO COMMUNICATE CLASSIFIED INFORMATION TO AGENT OF FOREIGN GOVERNMENT

    1. Defendant LAWRENCE ANTHONY FRANKLIN was employed by the United States government at the Department of Defense (DoD) in the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), International Security Affairs (ISA), Office of Near East and South Asia, Office of Northern Gulf Affairs, Iran desk, and held a Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). FRANKLIN’S office was located within the Pentagon, in the Eastern District of Virginia. FRANKLIN was also a Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve (USAFR).

    2. Throughout his employment with the United States government, FRANKLIN repeatedly signed written agreements acknowledging his duty to safeguard classified information

    3. At no time was FRANKLIN authorized to release classified information to ROSEN and WEISMANN except with respect to Overt Acts 43 and 44 in count one.

    4. Defendant STEVEN J. ROSEN was employed as the Director of Foreign Policy Issues for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in Washington, D.C. ROSEN was hired by AIPAC in or about July 1982. AIPAC, according to its website, is ” America’s ProIsrael Lobby.” AIPAC lobbies the U.S. Congress and Executive Branch agencies on various issues related to Israel and U.S. Foreign policy in the Middle East. As the Director of Foreign Policy Issues, ROSEN lobbied on behalf of AIPAC, primarily with officials within the Executive Branch of the U.S. government. During the time period of this indictment, ROSEN did not have a U.S. government security clearance and was not authorized to receive or possess U.S. government classified information.

    http://www.globalsecurity.org/intell/library/reports/2005/franklin_indictment_04aug2005.htm

WAYS, MANNER AND MEANS OF THE CONSPIRACY

    A. It was part of the conspiracy that, in an effort to influence persons within and outside the United States government, ROSEN and WEISSMAN would cultivate relationships with FRANKLIN and others and would use their contacts within the U.S. government and elsewhere to gather sensitive U.S. government information, including classified information relating to the national defense, for subsequent unlawful communication, delivery and transmission to persons not entitled to receive it.

    B. It was further part of the conspiracy that FRANKLIN would use his position as a desk officer in the Office of the Secretary of Defense to gather information relating to the national defense, for subsequent unlawful communication, delivery and transmission to ROSEN and WEISSMAN and others not entitled to receive it.

    C. It was further part of the conspiracy that FRANKLIN, ROSEN and WEISSMAN would meet at locations in the Eastern District of Virginia and elsewhere, to exchange information, including classified information relating to the national defense.

    D. It was further part of the conspiracy that FRANKLIN would unlawfully deliver, communicate and transmit classified national defense information in an effort to advance his own personal foreign policy agenda and influence persons within and outside the United States government.

    E. It was further part of the conspiracy that ROSEN and WEISSMAN, without lawful authority, would communicate to persons not entitled to receive it, classified information relating to the national defense.

On or about June 11, 1999, WEISSMAN had a conversation with FO-1 and told FO-1 that a “Secret FBI, classified FBI report” on the Khobar Towers bombing had been prepared and that he (WEISSMAN) had gotten this information from three different sources, including United States government officials.

On or about March 13, 2003 , WEISSMAN had a separate conversation with FO-1. WEISSMAN asked FO-1, “Have you talked to Steve about Iran lately?” WEISSMAN related that “we” had heard from a “friend of ours in the Pentagon” about a national intelligence document. WEISSMAN discussed specifics about the classified draft internal policy document and the internal deliberations of United States government officials.

On or about March 18, 2003 , in a conversation with a member of the media about the classified draft internal policy document, ROSEN stated, “I’m not supposed to know this,” and that it was a “considerable story.” He encouraged the member of the media to pursue the story.

  458. Pizza the Hutt says:

Come on ace. Yesterday you said that Bush enlisted the help of Liebermann to keep his “racket” up and running.

This was your accusation ace, not something you gleaned from an article or something, its YOUR accusation and Id like to know why you think Liebermann was chosen by Bush and why the democrat Liebermann would accept the offer from the republican POTUS.

Answer up or are you unable to support the feverish bullshitt you post here which means its all just conspiracist crap?

  459. Piper says:

Careful there pizza, ace is wired-in to the underground network of posse commitatus-like bigots who see danger and conspiracy in everyone who isnt white or has even a touch of Jewish blood in them. They might come for you one day.

    Heh.

  460. ace says:

    Pizza the hutt:

The lengthy post – including attributions and links at number 456 is my direct response to your prior question.

Have you read through everything in that post an all of the links provided?

Of course not – learning the truth is not your goal.

    Intent

Trolls can be existing members of a community that rarely post and often contribute no useful information to the thread, but instead make argumentative posts in an attempt to discredit another person, concentrating almost exclusively on facts irrelevant to the point of the conversation, with the intent of provoking a reaction from others. The key element under attack by a troll is known only to the troll.

A troll’s main goal is usually to arouse anger and frustration among the message board’s other participants, and will write whatever it takes to achieve this end. One popular trolling strategy is the practice of Winning by Losing. While the victim is trying to put forward solid and convincing facts to prove his position, the troll’s only goal is to infuriate its prey. The troll takes (what it knows to be) a badly flawed, wholly illogical argument, and then vigorously defends it while mocking and insulting its prey. The troll looks like a complete fool, but this is all part of the plan. The victim becomes noticeably angry by trying to repeatedly explain the flaws of the troll’s argument. Provoking this anger was the troll’s one and only goal from the very beginning.

Keep those questions coming. I don’t get angry, I just expose more of the information you are desperate to keep hidden.

  461. Pizza the Hutt says:

I have a feeling that ace is sweatily perusing his database in his bunker for yet another mile-long article, written by a different guy in another bunker down the road, which says that the Joooos are responsible for everything from the fall of the Abyssinian Empire to his moped not starting this morning.

  462. Pizza the Hutt says:

You believe this stuff ace, youre the purveyor of these achingly long articles. Give me your personal opinion as to why you think Liebermann was chosen by Bush?

Its a simple question and if you consider yourself capable of even simple reasoning I would suspect you have an answer. How can I trust the content of the information you provide if youre nothing more than a simple newspaper boy, waving the latest edition on the local street corner?

Enlighten me, or is it you dont have the capability to understand what you post?

  463. Piper says:

Heh pizza, youre getting to him. See how he turned the argument back on you, saying youre a troll and and…really mean.

He wont answer, he CANT answer, and we both know why. Ace is a simpleton and you wont find much more than his low-level brand of debate here at TP, they arent capable of backing up their “Hate Bush/Military/America” train of thought.

  464. ace says:

    Piper:

I missed all of those facts and links you were asked to provide to prove the existence of Osama Bin Laden.

Surely you can prove he was involved in 9/11, and that he actually exists, right?

  465. Pizza the Hutt says:

    He is also a bigot.

Im sure he doesnt see himself that way, most bunker-dwelling types dont. He probably considers himself a ‘freedom fighter’, even though the nazi memorabilia he surrepticiously collects would say otherwise.

  466. Piper says:

Why is it the libs can fully accept that the US government arranged 911 but that muslim terrorists, who have been killing people for decades, are incapable of murder?

  467. Pizza the Hutt says:

  468. DAGIM says:

Well the hijackers were predominantly Saudi exiles. Wahhabis.

It Saudi princes wife actually did send checks to the attackers. The truth, as with Kennedys shooting, will never be known. I’m sure we can expect

Lieberman attended a rally with Hagee/Delay recently.

Hagee stressed the need for a preemptive military attack on Iran to “prevent a nuclear holocaust” as he introduced Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) to thunderous applause from the crowd. Lieberman compared Hagee to Moses and pointed out a visiting Rick Santorum as a “worker for what is good in our society.”

Other conference attendees were quick to note that Muslims are satanic, and that the anti-Christ would most likely be a “man of peace.” Much like the College Republican convention, Blumenthal is eventually kicked out after confronting Hagee with a passage from his book that blames the Jews for their own persecution.
Other conference attendees were quick to note that Muslims are satanic, and that the anti-Christ would most likely be a “man of peace.”
    —————-

I don’t know how Jesus came to be a warrior. He didn’t write what we see in the bible. He could draw pictures, spoke Hebrew and Armenic. Moses was a general, Joe is not. Moses knew alchemy, Joes does not. Joe surely doesn’t want to see Israel destroyed. I ‘m not so sure he knows what Hagee has written. I have a hard time believing Jesus would return with a sword and bring about nuclear Armageddon. The Muslims recognize Jesus as a Prophet. The second coming was likely in 70AD.

Lets not forget Tim Mcveigh, An Elohimist, blew up the Murrah Federal Building. I don’t see people condemning Christianity because of a few extremist nuts. Hagees own words undermine his own words. I don’t think Churches should become involved in persuing partisan political views based on scripture. The word Babel, Bible, means to confound. The bible is the most read, also interpreted book ever written with some 800 denominations [interpretations]

BTW I do consider myself a Judao/Christian. I don’t understand what Hagee and his group speak of. Dont confuse a word, Liberal, with religion. There is no correlation. Your basically promoting a myth Piper.

George Soros, who funds TP, is a Dovish Jew who is seeking an more peaceful alternative to AIPAC. So that pretty much derails your liberal [liberty/Freedom] mythical jaunt we see repeated so much by people who follow your mythical wackiness.

Let me reiterate what Hagee, an evangelical, wrote in his book. He blames the Jews for their own persecution. Not the ‘liberals’ Not the Left, but the JEWS!!!!

What do you have to say about that Piper?

    Not much I imagine.

A non sequitur (IPA: /nÉ‘n ’sÉ›kwɪtÉ™(ɹ)/) is a conversational and literary device, often used for comical purposes (as opposed to its use in formal logic). It is a comment which, due to its lack of meaning relative to the comment it follows, is absurd to the point of being humorous or confusing. Its use can be deliberate or unintentional. Literally, it is Latin for “it does not follow.” In other literature, a non sequitur can denote an abrupt, illogical, unexpected or absurd turn of plot or dialogue not normally associated with or appropriate to that preceding it.

Non sequiturs often appear to be disconnected or random comments, or random changes in subject, especially socially inappropriate ones. When non sequiturs are used frequently this can be called “absurd humor”.

In an interview with Chris Matthews, John McCain was pressed to explain just where another 100,000 troops are supposed to come from for Iraq:

“I don’t think we need to think of the draft again because I don’t think it makes sense in a whole variety of ways. But I guarantee you, if these young people felt that this nation was in a crisis and we asked them to serve, virtually every one of them would stand up because I have the greatest confidence in the young people of America.”
