So “freedom of speech” really only means “you’re free to say what you want, as long as it parrots the official government line”. Sounds like Stalinist “freedom” to me.

Mr. Churchills dismissal, for one, was in no way related to the issue of ‘freedom of speech.’ It was a serious breach of academic integrity in his research (plagiarism, etc.). The University of Colorado has its integrity to uphold. The ‘freedom of speech’ claim in that case was a lefty talking-point.

Clearly, you lefties have gone too far.

Sorry so late to respond, but I actually have a life and was busy yesterday evening.

It looks like you got me. Here I assumed you condemned Ward Churchill (the “worst professor in America”) because of his somewhat controversial theories and the fact that he made his students think instead of merely absorb. And that you were comparing “blogcrats” to him for that reason.

Now I find out that the reason you consider Churchill the worst professor in America because of plagiarism and other infractions — NOT because of his opinions and his tendency to express them. Who knew?

So I guess your point is that we “blogcrats” are free to post whatever is on our minds, and as long as we don’t steal anyone else’s words, that’s OK with you? (cut-and-pasters, beware!)

That, sir, is your opinion, not a fact in any sense. Please say I THINK OLBERMANN IS A STALKER. And then provide rational reasoning to back up your unfounded claim, if you can prove that Olbermann has ever stalked someone then perhaps you have a valid point. Oreilly, as court records show, once sexuallu harassed a woman over the phone and talked about falafels (which is a misprnounciation of a bath type sponge], this is why you hear people relate falafel to Oreilly. Pretty funny actually no matter what side of the aisle one leans from. BTW I am not a ‘liberal’ in the pundit sense of the word, and consider myself sovereign.

Why does Oreilly call bloggers who are American democratic citizens, Stalinists, Mcarthyists, fascists, and Nazis? Obviously hes just throwing out crap and hoping something sticks. The reason he has to throw out so much bias and names is because he is utterly clueless when it comes to internet protocols and the people behind the monitors/screens. This is not a hate site, just one thats tired of dittoheads projecting groupthink opinions onto people they don’t know. If you were to meet me, personall, outside of the internet you would find that I believe in God, will help you fix your car or plane, and can hold conversations on many levels from computers to planes to cars to politics to physics to philosophy. Just because a talking head, left or right utters his opinion about a secular group of educated Americans does not make it so. Please don’t repeat the media rubbish here.

If you took a bit of time and reviewed my moniker, one small word, you would find many things, many little points to follow. Don’t be a follower, become self educated. You will find many hints of what I am if you simply follow small hints I leave. =)

They call themselves conservatives LT. =) I think ConTeenie made that point pretty clear that much of what they get, and you just agreed, above. Pap comes from TV, Movies, Pundits etc.

The point is they are not educating themselves but, perhaps, watching too much Dumbledore mindlessness and imitating popular media garbage from video games to music videos. Capitalism, and ai say this alot, creates liberalism. You can see it everywhere you look.

You can lead a child to the television and to a video game and never will he think, but imitate. Imitation is not knowledge. Capitalism is exploitative and exploits our desires and wants. Sex sells. Just look around you. Look at liberal Lohan or Spears or Hilton or Limbaugh. Each has gone down the road of addiction. Calling oneself a conservative is a feel good word. 2-day it means hypocrite.
