Last night on the Letterman Show, host David Letterman noted CNN’s Jack Cafferty voicing his anger on-air recently for having to report on Lindsay Lohan. Watch it:
i love david… recently i’ve been feeling guilty…
have been neglecting him for some younger men…
jon and stephen have taken over my usual
dave time slot… what to do, what to do…
Jack Cafferty has been one of the few Journalist that just give the facts not what the White House orders others to say. The media CEO’s are following the White House orders and many more Journalist are falling in line for the extra money. Chris Matthews has been on the WH pay role for years and of course O’Reilly is doing it for the money for his harassment bill. I was really surprised at David Gregory as he was once an honest Journalist. Times are hard for Journalist so alot more are caving in to the extra money. The few Journalist who report the truth are being attacked by the White House and their friends.
Notice how CBS took Bob out and put the WH suck up Katie Couric in his job. I don’t know one person who watches the lies Katie tells.

And Brit, might want to get some work done on those eyes, the droopy look doesn’t look any better on you then it does on Joe L. the esteemed Senator from Israel.
If you’re gonna eat the fast food news, CNN is the best one. They have the Gonzo story headlining right now. Gotta encourage the desireable behaviors.
Comment by ForTruth — July 26, 2007 @ 8:35 pm
Yeah but they have spun the headline to make it seem like they can’t agree on whether to use “a” or “an” when using an acronym.
CNN “FBI head, Gonzales differ on hospital showdown”
MSNBC FBI director contradicts Gonzales’ testimony
Fox News FBI Chief Contradicts Gonzales’ Sworn Testimony
CBS News FBI Chief Contradicts Gonzales’ Testimony
ABC News
The story is not on the front page
So, in this case even Fox News is using a better headline than CNN and ABC is just a friggin’ tool for the administration.
Public awareness of Lindsey Lohan skyrocketed after paparazzi snapped a pic of her vagina, maybe Dick Cheney should do the same – it could bolster his flagging popularity.

Until I was “laid off” a few weeks ago from my job, I always had the opportunity to sneak into the breakroom, where the tv was set to Fox Noise and I turned it to MSNBC for Olbermann and left it there.
One day one of the maintenance people came up to me and gave me a direct warning not to do it again. A couple of weeks later, I switched the tv back to MSNBC. Of course, that didn’t cost me my job, but that’s another story.
I don’t watch TV much at all. I do feel that reporting on another out of control coke soaked drunken starlet is not really newsworthy. It is, I think, a sad sign of the times.
One day one of the maintenance people came up to me and gave me a direct warning not to do it again.
A maintenance person is not an authority figure of any type and is not your work superior or immediate boss. I think I would have told him to have that put into a memo, from the head cheese, and post it in the break room.

I don’t believe a word you say.
That’s the great thing about blogs. You can cry a sad story even if it isn’t true. And I can tell you you’re full of stuff, because I can’t tell if it’s true or not. I don’t have to have feelings for your boo hoo. Because anyone can say anything. Nothing matters. Just like this entire thread, waste of time.
When a major news channel becomes fodder for late-night comics you know that real journalists are cringing. Five years ago this would never have come up. He would have just read the prompter and, perhaps, privately thought “what a rotten job”.

3 to 1. I complained that this long list of thread was cheek kissing crap. True or not?
I was wondering the other day what is going to happen to Fox News when the Democrats take over the government? I suspect that their advertisers will abandon them pretty quickly. Advertisers tend to go where they think the money is and if the vast majority of this nation is on the side of the Democrats, those advertisers are not going to look favorably on Fox. As someone posted earlier, their demographics are not great and their viewers are dying off.
When I was up there, the news were awfully annoying. You have all these messages going from right to left at the bottom of the screen, most of them about an attack or something really terrible then some white words over a red background telling you the name of the news at hand and then the subtitle, very likely using the word terror or war.
You have the face of a guy/girl talking and talking and then at the other half of the screen a guy/girl answering.
Then you have little frames for other news at the corners or wherever they fit. And this is all day and all night. Truly annoying. No wonder why some people still believe Saddam had WMDs.
Oh, another thing. As I walked the airport on my way out, there were these printed ads at the wall. The subjects were two:
a) A patriotic display (Army, Navy, Marine, etc.)
b) A product to be sold.

Why couldn’t this just be a case of the person who runs the teleprompter being asleep at the wheel? There was NOTHING on the screen that indicated a Lohan story was about to run.
Just awoke to read this TP “News”. I hardly think this is worthy of TP, but if it was meant to lighten things up, fine.
Blitzer ( I can’t stand ). He’s a mouth piece for DC, and a terrible interviewer. Cafferty, is a straight shooter and enjoys pointing out the absurd crap coming out of Washington. The other day technicians had a Lindsey Lohan story on the teleprompter instead of his story. They never got it off the prompter and he read from his handheld script.
…of coal plants in Nevada. Wouldnt that be a state government issue, Harry?Comment by Moxy
The federal funding [Taxpayers] of such things isn’t. Coal or otherwise. The power/utility company needs to foot the bill if they are gonna reap the profits.
Besides that the pollutants created do not magically stop at state lines =) Alot of pollution comes up from Mexico (such as in El Paso) from their refineries etc.

July 26th, 2007 at 8:20 pm#9 Correct — FNC wants to stay far ahead at #1 for a long time.
Comment by Brit Hume
RRRIGHT!!! Gotta stay the leader in Bullshit and BushCo paid advertisements disguised as “news”.
And Brit, might want to get some work done on those eyes, the droopy look doesn’t look any better on you then it does on Joe L. the esteemed Senator from Israel.
July 26th, 2007 at 8:27 pmTP’ers could not care less, but her name is spelled Lindsay. Kinda hard to miss that considering how her name is everywhere.
July 26th, 2007 at 8:28 pmPoor Jack, he still thinks he works in the journalism business. That kind of work, especially at CNN ended some time ago.
Time to get out Jack. Your kind are no longer bring in the ratings.
July 26th, 2007 at 8:35 pmIf you’re gonna eat the fast food news, CNN is the best one. They have the Gonzo story headlining right now. Gotta encourage the desireable behaviors.
July 26th, 2007 at 8:35 pmI heart Jack Cafferty.
July 26th, 2007 at 8:37 pm“#9 Correct — FNC wants to stay far ahead at #1 for a long time”
#1 at what? CNN has a lot more viewers. Fox just has mouthbreathers that never change channels. Do some research, moron.
July 26th, 2007 at 8:39 pmDidn’t someone at MSNBC do this about Paris Hilton a couple weeks ago?
July 26th, 2007 at 8:39 pmYeah but they have spun the headline to make it seem like they can’t agree on whether to use “a” or “an” when using an acronym.
CNN
“FBI head, Gonzales differ on hospital showdown”
MSNBC
FBI director contradicts Gonzales’ testimony
Fox News
FBI Chief Contradicts Gonzales’ Sworn Testimony
CBS News
FBI Chief Contradicts Gonzales’ Testimony
ABC News
The story is not on the front page
So, in this case even Fox News is using a better headline than CNN and ABC is just a friggin’ tool for the administration.

July 26th, 2007 at 11:11 pmUntil I was “laid off” a few weeks ago from my job, I always had the opportunity to sneak into the breakroom, where the tv was set to Fox Noise and I turned it to MSNBC for Olbermann and left it there.
One day one of the maintenance people came up to me and gave me a direct warning not to do it again. A couple of weeks later, I switched the tv back to MSNBC. Of course, that didn’t cost me my job, but that’s another story.
July 26th, 2007 at 11:15 pmI don’t watch TV much at all. I do feel that reporting on another out of control coke soaked drunken starlet is not really newsworthy. It is, I think, a sad sign of the times.

A maintenance person is not an authority figure of any type and is not your work superior or immediate boss. I think I would have told him to have that put into a memo, from the head cheese, and post it in the break room.
July 26th, 2007 at 11:22 pmMr. P, but you don’t know if the maintenence worker is doing the bidding of a higher up, do you?

That’s the great thing about blogs. You can cry a sad story even if it isn’t true. And I can tell you you’re full of stuff, because I can’t tell if it’s true or not.

Even worthless losers can have great children.
July 27th, 2007 at 12:34 amWhen I was up there, the news were awfully annoying.
Geez…Comsumption & Fear. What a great combo.

The federal funding [Taxpayers] of such things isn’t. Coal or otherwise. The power/utility company needs to foot the bill if they are gonna reap the profits.
Federal funds approved to buy land in Washoe Susan Voyles … coal-fired power plant that would sit between those hills and the Granites. …
http://www.nevadacleanenergy.com/20040806RenoGazette.html
It would be a newer cleaner burning coal type unit it would seem. I would think Nevada, with the amount of sunlight, could build a draft type power generation.
