JetBlue: Radical left?

JetBlue: Radical left?

Last week, Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly attacked Jetblue for working with “the radical left” by sponsoring the upcoming YearlyKos convention, eventually forcing the company to remove its banner from the convention’s website. Yesterday, Public Citizen’s WhiteHouseForSale.org revealed that JetBlue founder David Neeleman is a bundler for Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign. He also sits on Romney’s Connecticut statewide finance committee.

    A bundler?
Is that like the old custom of engaged couples spooning?

  2. squegeeboo says:

Bundler? Any one care to politically define for me.

  3. hellinabucket says:

Point this out to BO and you’ll get your mike turned off like Jane Hall did last night for pointing out there are unsavory posts left on his blog site.

Looks like JetBlue is a business that doesn’t lock out people or ideas. I wonder why Mitt didn’t speakout on their behalf? Looks like Romney doesn’t want to stand up for the people that stand up for him.

    hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

  4. upside00 says:

Why does billo hate the mitt?

  5. drinkypoo says:

Well, yes. Anything that’s not at center – as defined by the current administration – is left.

  6. Gerald Gibson says:

As Mike Gravel was saying in the CNN/YouTube debate about Obama and his bundlers…

A “bundler” works as a middleman to raise money nationally for one specific issue, and then drops large chunks of attention-getting money into the campaigns of candidates who support the issue

  7. SallyeRN says:

I hope that Fox and Oreilly have opened a pandora’s box. Imagine if progressives start hounding corporations for their support of Fox noise and Oreilly’s show. Imagine the advertising dollars that corporations spend and the lies that Oreilly tells that these corporations are supporting. Bring it on.

  8. Gerald Gibson says:

Bundler: If you support my agenda I will drop large sums of money on you….

Sounds like bribery to me… I know Washington bribery is considered normal now… but it should not be…

  9. Flaco says:

    Bring it on, Bill-O.

  10. drinkypoo says:

#7: Yeah. Nothing like that to distract us from things that really matter. War, economy and things like that. Screw Fox and BO. Let them preach to the 26%ers and let’s ignore them.

  11. toasterhead says:

Welp! I know what airline I won’t be flying any time soon!

  12. Ringo says:

Personally, I don’t care if Jet Blue has a banner at the Kos convention’s website and they give money to Romney….They’re just trying keep both sides of their bread buttered.

And who cares O’Reilly has to say, he’s a goof.

David Neeleman picked a loser in Mitt but it does clear up alot about Neeleman by the friends he has. Neeleman did a great job as making himself sound like a good guy for all the people. Cat’s out the bag now David Neeleman makes friends with racist. Mitt like most keep that part hidden away but it snicks out sometimes. Like the comment he made about tar babies. Well JetBlue isn’t all it’s cracked up to be at lease for some paying customers.

I saw that the other night. Brilliant!

I wonder if his staff visit this site as well. And if they’re looking for writers. If they were, they could see some writing samples on my blog. Just sayin.

  17. Ringo says:

Of course the main difference between Kos and Romney is that Romney is a mainstream Presidential candidate while the Kos Kids are a bunch of insane conspiracy theorists, hard-core Leftists and anti-Semites.

Still, Jet Blue can advertise where they wish.

  18. Zehava says:

No wonder JetBlue caved so quickly as a YKos sponsor.

    Next….

  19. Jason M. Hendler says:

I am for unlimited financing and full disclosure. Anyone should give whatever support they want, but it should be fully disclosed to the public.

It is not fair, under our current system, that someone like Michael Bloomberg is able to run for president, but a lifelong servant of the US like Gen. Colin Powell cannot. Current campaign finance legislation just protects the existing 2 party system and does not allow Americans a true choice outside of that system.

  20. Jason M. Hendler says:

I suspect that bundling travel packages is just a standard sales approach to win business, and not intended to “finance” a particular political view.

  21. God Help Us says:

Yes, but anyone who supports or advertises for DailyKos is part of the radical left. Think Progress is radical left – a vehicle for nothing, but absolute hatred and disdain for conservative values, the President and the troops.

I really find it saddening that Democrats and their liberal allies in the media can only unite in their effort to “get Bush.” AND they can’t even do that right. At least the GOP had the spine to impeach Clinton, and then win the White House, Senate and House just two years later.

  22. God Help Us says:

In addition the House and Senate wins in 2000, 2002 and 2004, we now have a right-wing majority on the Court. Roe will be overturned by 2010.

  23. Texasjuice says:

  24. Texasjuice says:

If GOD really helps us, the Bush junta will not be heard from after 2008! And yes, I am a progressive and I believe in GOD. So do most progressives, the right just likes to think they own GOD.

    #26,

NO yuo’re all for defending the rights of non-viable human cells, and once they do become babies you turn your self-centered back on them, at least until they can become cannon fodder for your trumped up wars that you are too much of a coward to fight in.

  28. bobwurst says:

    God Help Us,

You do realize that your continued support of bush, in the face of overwhelming evidence that he lied us into a war that has killed thousands of our own soldiers and hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraquies (including babies, you hypocrite) condems you to hell. He commited a mortal sin and you helped, that means his sins are yours. enjoy your eternal tan, asswipe.

Another one who didn’t make it, despite calling himself “saved”.

  30. Laura MacCleery says:

Just to be clear — bundling is when a person collects a large number of campaign donation checks on behalf of a political candidate and makes the campaign aware that they are connected to the money so they can get credit for their fundraising.

Influence peddlers love it. Ken Lay and Jack Abramoff, for example, were bundlers for the Bush campaign.

The campaigns all have different systems for tracking bundlers — and there’s no required disclosure. The current crop of candidates is even worse than — gasp — Bush and Cheney at disclosing the facts on bundlers!

We view bundling with skepticism. It allows people to side-step the significance of federal campaign limits for individuals ($2,300 in the current election cycle) and increases the influence of networks of wealthy donors.

There’s a key lobbying and ethics reform bill in Congress right now that would require disclosure of Congressional bundlers — we’re working hard to make sure the bundling measure stays in the bill.

Come check out the new Web site at http://www.WhiteHouseforSale.org — including the audio of our press event — and leave us comments about what you think at http://www.thewatchdogblog.org.

  31. IgnoranceIsNotBliss says:

Perhaps I’m wrong, but I was under the impression that JetBlue were not “sponsors” of YKos but had only donated 10 tickets to the event. They aren’t sponsors of the event and never were.

  32. Arroyo says:

Christ, I hope Jet Blue is a subversive organization,
    Bill F***ing O’Reilly deserves it.

“Yes, but anyone who supports or advertises for DailyKos is part of the radical left. Think Progress is radical left – a vehicle for nothing, but absolute hatred and disdain for conservative values, the President and the troops.”

Really, God Help Us? I found out about Joe Sestak on DailyKos. Ever heard of him? Since Joe’s now representing a district in Pennsylvania in Congress and I live in Michigan, I never would have found out about him in the traditional media. But via DailyKos’s excellent coverage of local, state, and national races across the country, I learned about Joe and contributed to his campaign. By your standards, then, Joe Sestak is all about “hatred and disdain for conservative values, the President, and the troops.”

Ah, but you would be wrong.

After graduating from Cardinal O’Hara High School, Joe Sestak entered the U.S. Naval Academy from his hometown of Springfield, Pa., and graduated with the class of 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He left the naval service after almost 31 years in January 2006, after having reached the rank of Vice Admiral.

He served six sea tours with units of the Atlantic and Pacific Fleets during which he made seven deployments to Europe, the Persian Gulf and the western and South Pacific. He served in command of USS Samuel B. Roberts (FFG 58) named the best overall surface ship in the Atlantic Fleet in the Battenberg Cup selection, and as Commander, Destroyer Squadron Fourteen. He also served at sea as Commander, Cruiser Destroyer Group Two and George Washington Battle Group deploying to both the Arabian Gulf and the Mediterranean Sea. As the Battle Group Commander, he led an international coalition force of 30 U.S. and allied ships and 15,000 sailors, exercising command of combat operations in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as senior diplomatic engagements throughout Southwest Asia, Europe and Africa.

There’s much more to Joe’s list of accomplishments than this, but no matter. You’ve proven that you’re completely ignorant of what DailyKos really is, which means that you’re also ignorant of the fact that DailyKos was instrumental in publicizing the many Veterans who ran for office last November. Veterans who actually had their asses on the line in Iraq and Afghanistan. Just like the vast majority of loudmouth Bush supporters, you actually have no freaking clue what being “for the troops” is all about. All you have to fall back on is your pathetic reference to Clinton and your mindless repetition of what you hear on Rush’s show.

And Joe Sestak is one hundred times the American patriot than your weasly self will ever be.

  35. God Help Us says:

BUSH DID NOT LIE US INTO WAR. Everyone though Sadam had weapons. If the Democrats were so concerned, they could have read the intelligence estimates instead of trying to save their hydes come 2002 midterms.

Democrats are all about polls. They don’t have a conviction of their own and they will burn in hell for it. Actually, when Bush is done with the Supreme Court, it will be their hell.

  36. veritas says:

As it turns out, BillyO-douchebag’s forte is chasing errant loofahs these days. He’s become as irrelevant as a dinosaur.

  37. veritas says:

God Help Us: And why did Bush believe that Saddam had weapons? Because his father sold them to him, that’s why. But Saddam had one up on the Bush-kin, didn’t he. He destroyed that which Pappy Bush sold to him…..as his last “pimpjob” on the Bush dynasty which is resulting in the destruction of all they’ve amassed since Prescott’s (granpappy’s) affiliation with the Third Reich. It could be said that Saddam toppled the Bush Dynasty in reality with his last move and pimping them into a war based on weapons they knew he had because they, themselves, sold them to him….ahahahaha! What a “last laugh” he had, indeed.

  38. God Help Us says:

#36 – HOW DARE YOU. Prescott Bush voted for the civil rights act unlike Al Gore’s racist, black hating father. He was a good man.

As for H.W. Bush – his legacy was much better when he left office which I suspect will be the same for his son. They are too damn nice to their opponents. They are good men unlike the lousy, lying Clinton.

Veritas – YOU ARE A NAZI. You are a pig and you have so lowered the political discourse, God help us when the Democrats actually decide on someone. We will spread the lies that you have spread to destroy them. Obama = Muslim, Edwards = faggot, Hillary = power hungry dike is just a sampling. It will make Kerry’s swiftboating look like a walk in the park.

People like TP have ruined political discourse and you will pay a heavy price for it come next Fall. If you are lie about Bush, we can spread lies that will stick too.

  39. God Help Us says:

Here is another one – Lizzie “attack dog” Edwards LIED about her cancer for boost in the polls.

Actually, Daddy Bush is the BIGGEST CRIMINAL of all!!

    http://www.tarpley.net/bushb.htm

And he pardoned INTERNATIONAL TERRORIST Orlando Bosch, and the Iran/Contra TRAITORS to save HIS and TRAITOR Reagan’s azz…

The Bush Family are a group of unamerican TRAITORS to the USA…

  41. IgnoranceIsNotBliss says:

#39: What the hell is wrong with you? You damn well need to provide proof if you are going to make a claim such as this.

    Comment by God Help Us — July 27, 2007 @ 3:46 pm

    Yes, he did.

    Everyone though Sadam had weapons.

No, they didn’t. The inspectors, for one, didn’t. And ultimately, “we all screwed up” is no excuse.

If the Democrats were so concerned, [...]

This is irrelevant to the fact that Hussein didn’t have WMD, and that Bush established links between Hussein, 9/11, and AlQaeda in order to invade Iraq -which was a lie.

Actually, when Bush is done with the Supreme Court, it will be their hell.

Yet another substance-free post, from yet another Bush personality cult follower.

  45. lurking lady says:

God Help Us.. You’d better pray that God doesn’t exist, cause if she does, you’re gonna burn, baby, burn!

  46. O. Bigfoot says:

“Prescott Bush voted for the civil rights act unlike Al Gore’s racist, black hating father.”

That’s the best part of arguing with most liberals…watching them turn to personal attacks when they sputter in the face of facts. (I can’t in good conscience call it debate…debating is about issues.)

They turn the person who posts into the issue, and ignore the issue itself.

Was I the only one who “got” ‘God Help Us’s” point about telling lies, and the lowered quality of political discourse in this country? Basically what he was saying was this: If the radical left can keep spreading lies and pounding away at their side of the half truths in order to make the right look bad, then wait until the right is fed up with it all and starts spreading the same kind of nonsense.

How the heck did we get from George Washington, Thomas Paine, Thomas Jefferson, and John Adams, to Rosie O’Donnell, Sean Penn, Jon Stewart and the like?

Sure, back in the ’80’s, the “right” had Wally George and Morton Downey Jr., but nobody took them seriously!!

JetBlue should have been paying more attention to how they allowed their name to be used. I have no problem with them giving away some tickets, even to KOS. I doubt that would have even been noticed. It was only when their name showed up on the YearlyKOS website that the “dung was flung”. That kind of direct association with a known fringe hate site was just asking for trouble. My guess is that the outrage would be quite similar if JetBlue would have put their logo on this site. With all the folks here suggesting what should happen to most of the Bush Administration in pretty graphic terms, and the constant stream of unfounded accusations, there might have some controversy involved.

It’s all about perception. I’ll put it this way: In another thread, there was a lot of discussion about how the John Birch Society was concidered the “nutty” extreme of the right wing. Well, to folks who are moderate to right-leaning, The KOS, TP, and other like sites are the John Birch Society of the left.

What’s interesting, is that both the John Birch Society and places like KOS and TP arrive at very similar conclusions when it comes to the conspiracies of certain families running our country, those families disregard for our constitution, etc. etc. Yet one calls the other nuts?
