Yes! Every war criminal deserves his day in court, he deserves to face his accusers, he deserves the right to defend himself. He deserves to be reminded of his rights. He deserves to be represented by counsel.
When he is found guilty of war crimes, his lawyers will be allowed to appeal for him while he remains in isolation, in a top secret prison. He won’t be tortured, he won’t be waterboarded, he won’t be denied basic services, but he will be denied freedom, and given time enough for his tiny mind to ponder what he has wrought for himself and others.
