Fein argues for Bush and Cheney impeachment.

Former Reagan administration lawyer Bruce Fein recently sat down with the editors of the San Francisco Chronicle to discuss how “George W. Bush’s foreign policies are making Americans less safe, and why the president and Vice President Dick Cheney should be impeached.” You can listen to the audio here.

Bruce Fein at his finest! He did an interview with Bill Moyers recently making the case for impeachment – an irrefutable case for impeachment. Check it out.

This is another time our illustrious troll has it wrong. There was a huge impeachment groundswell occurring all over the country this past week. It will continue while Bush is busy playing rancher during the month of August. Without all of his orchestrated talking points to try to scramble people’s minds, there is no doubt that the “impeachment train” will be leaving the station in August…..with now close to half of all americans (and growing each day) on board. Toot-Toot!!

  14. veritas says:

Perry: Correction: Bush was never elected! It will be shown in the not too distant future that both elections were either caged or rigged outright. Bush was NOT elected by the people.

  15. veritas says:

Perry: The rest of your comment is spot on! Fortuntely, Orwellian speak and definitions of good/bad, right/wrong, etc. mean nothing to most americans.

  26. Mark @ News Corpse says:

Bruce Fein has been doing a yeoman’s job speaking out about this. Starting with the brilliant appearance on Bill Moyer’s Journal, he is apparently not going to let up on this. Neither am I…

And neither should YOU! Force the candidates to take this pledge or explain why they won’t:

“If elected, I promise to work to reverse and repeal all laws, regulations, executive orders, and other instruments, whether produced by the White House, a cabinet agency, Congress, the courts, or other government entity, that impinge on the freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution, and that have been usurped by the presidency of George W. Bush and his enablers in other government branches, agencies and offices”

DeFazio Asks, But He’s Denied Access…http://www.commondreams.org/archive/2007/07/21/2678/

WASHINGTON — Oregonians called Peter DeFazio’s office, worried there was a conspiracy buried in the classified portion of a White House plan for operating the government after a terrorist attack.

As a member of the U.S. House on the Homeland Security Committee, DeFazio, D-Ore., is permitted to enter a secure “bubbleroom” in the Capitol and examine classified material. So he asked the White House to see the secret documents.

On Wednesday, DeFazio got his answer: DENIED.

True Americans would want an investigation of this dictator take over in time of an emergency – especially with the growing concern from Americans of just who was responsible for 9/11.

I agree. I predicted at the end of 06 that Bush would be impeached this year. I believe it will happen before the years out.

  47. Marie says:

Mr. Pee fails to understand how impeachment works.
The impeachment itself is a declaration of charges against the official; it opens the way for presentation of facts, legal discussion and debate of events and counter arguments. It does NOT mean Bushie would be removed from office automatically, but he and his supporters would have a pretty good idea if they thought he could survive if the result was conviction.
Nixon would not have survived, so he was advised to resign.
Clinton was impeached but not convicted, so he remained in office.

Apparently Mr. Pee thinks that operating secret, illegal prisons is not high crime: That illegal spying on American citizens without obtaining a warrant (even retroactively) is not a crime: That torturing prisoners is not in violation of the international Geneva conventions and not a high crime: That evidence of corrupting elections is not a high crime.
Those are only a few of the grounds for impeachment proceedings against Bush – I believe he would be convicted – therefore the reluctance of repugs to even consider the procedure — in fact, it probably is the reason the dems are dragging their feet also. Bush would certainly be removed from office, unless he would do as Nixon, and resign.

  48. Keith G says:

Nixon’s top lawyer, John Dean, also thinks Bush and Cheney should be impeached. He’s kinda like THE expert. His book is titled: Worse Than Watergate.

Some new info. on Tillman murder today:

    “Tillman Comrade Recalls Final Moments”
    The Associated Press.
    Sunday 29 July 2007

“O’Neal said Saturday that he knew there were snipers in the convoy that fired at them, but that he can’t remember their names.”

Unknown professional assassin snipers were inserted into the search and destroy mission that day in Afghanistan for what purpose? This is beginning to look like Tillman was assassinated on orders of Pentagon or the White House. Here is the link to article on TruthOut: http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/072907E.shtal

Veritas is right. The 2004 election was stolen, too. The official version is extremely impossible: The exit polls of about 75,000 who had just voted were off by a full 3.0% due to shy Republicans.

I believe that soon either Hillary or Barak will begin sounding the impeachment drum. Everyone associated with Watergate is weighing in and sounding the death nell to this administration.

Politics in this country is today so divisive and so polarized that I don’t see it turning around any time soon.
I recall that there were always good people in both parties; I may have disagreed with some philosophically, but they could enable me to see their point, or conversely, solidify my own point of view. Good politicians actually knew when to draw the line and would act for the good of the nation – not any more.
Renegades were eventually ignored, ousted or rendered impotent because the majority were more reasonable people – not any more.
Today, there is nothing but partisan politics, aided and abetted by the media who would rather cover fights and gossip than fact and truth.
Bruce Fein is one of those individuals with whom I often don’t agree with philosopically, but one can’t deny that he is a learned man who has the greater good of the nation at heart. All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing – Fein is doing something.

it is funny as an educator to see such a divergent view of patriotism across both parties. Conservatives see have an authoritarian view of patriotism: primary allegiance to land, birthright, legal citizenship, and the governments cause. Non-questioning loyalty, support leaders unconditionally, blind to shortcomings and social discord within nation. Dissent is seen as dangerous and destabilizing. Often have sayings of my country right or wrong, love it or leave it. Equating opposition to the war in Iraq with hatred of America or support of terrorism. While Democratic Patriotism believes that a nations ideals are worthy of admiration and respect primary allegiance to principles that underlie democracy. Questioning, critical, deliberative. Care for all people of society based on principles. Outspoken in condemnation of shortcomings. Respectful even encouraging of dissent. Your have the right to not remain silent. I think most conservatives just were taught a different way and now face a cognitive dissanance when what they were told does not match up with what they see.

You’re old enough to kill, but not for votin’
You don’t believe in war, but what’s that gun you’re totin’
And even the Jordan River has bodies floatin’

    But you tell me
Over and over and over again, my friend
    Ah, you don’t believe
We’re on the eve of destruction.

Don’t you understand what I’m tryin’ to say
Can’t you feel the fears I’m feelin’ today?
If the button is pushed, there’s no runnin’ away
There’ll be no one to save, with the world in a grave
[Take a look around ya boy, it's bound to scare ya boy]

    And you tell me
Over and over and over again, my friend
    Ah, you don’t believe
We’re on the eve of destruction.

Yeah, my blood’s so mad feels like coagulatin’
    I’m sitting here just contemplatin’
I can’t twist the truth, it knows no regulation.
Handful of senators don’t pass legislation
And marches alone can’t bring integration
    When human respect is disintegratin’
This whole crazy world is just too frustratin’

    And you tell me
Over and over and over again, my friend
    Ah, you don’t believe
We’re on the eve of destruction.

Think of all the hate there is in Red China
Then take a look around to Selma, Alabama
You may leave here for 4 days in space
But when you return, it’s the same old place
The poundin’ of the drums, the pride and disgrace
You can bury your dead, but don’t leave a trace
Hate your next-door neighbor, but don’t forget to say grace
And… tell me over and over and over and over again, my friend
    You don’t believe
We’re on the eve of destruction
Mm, no no, you don’t believe

I don’t have a strainer on my shower drain. The other day, I walked in the bathroom and a rat went down the drain! I couldn’t get to it and I didn’t want it to get into the kitchen and break into all the food, so I sealed the drain shut. “CRUDE AWAKENING! Sorry, friends, I attached the impeachment site again instead. This is a “MUST READ”. PEAK OIL…..”

It’s really too bad our “liberal” media has had a virtual media blackout about Peak Oil. I have known about it for years now and that is one reason why I am joining a co-housing community. I feel my ability to survive what is coming as a result of peak oil will be much better living in a loving and supportive community.

Most scientists think that we are at the peak right now or we have past that point. Peak oil is the reason why Bush started this conflagration in the middle east. Somehow his pea brain was convinced that if we destabilize the middle east, all their oil is going to start flowing our way. He is dumber than dirt. Those countries are not going to reward our bad behavior by giving us first shot at their oil.

If we don’t start NOW finding alternative energy sources, we are in major trouble as a country. Many European countries can survive without oil, we can’t.

And the thing I don’t understand is why the Republicans are not behind alternative energy sources. It will be a major money making industry once it gets started. So, intelligence would say that we should get these alternative sources of energy going BEFORE we run out of oil. But, Corporate America is not known for seeing the big picture. All they can see is the next dollar in front of them.
