If there aren’t reprecussions for breaking laws then we have lawlessness. And that is why it is important. Yes there are many important issues that need to be addressed. They got to this sorry state because the current administration wasn’t addressing them and continue to block change. We need justice to more forward. And we need truth to have justice. And anyone who won’t tell the truth needs to go – willingly or otherwise.

You people are all idiots. Impeached doesn’t mean “thrown out of office,” impeached means to charge someone. If he gets impeaches, that doesn’t necessarily mean he gets thrown out of office. You can ask slick Willie about that.

I find it terribly amusing how all of you say we should “fight for the Constitution,” when I highly doubt most of you have ever even read it.

And what are we doing? Having stupid quarrels about whether or not Alberto Gonzales technically lied under questioning that had absolutely nothing to do with the topic of the hearings he was asked to attend.No wonder the (Democratically controlled) Congress has a 14% approval rating.

Yeah.. thank god the president didn’t get a blow job or who knows what would be going on, huh?
The reason they are not getting the job done is due to the republicans blocking important legislation and the president voting the rest.

So it’s still all your fault.
Just a matter of time… you can be sure the cans won’t get the majority again… likely not the presidency.

That is right. And that is the reason why Congress needs to bring Articles of Impeachment against Gonzales before they leave town. If they don’t, I predict that Gonzales will find an urgent need to spend more time with his family and then Bush will make a recess appointment.

I am very disappointed in the Democrats for even thinking about leaving town at a critical time like this.

I absolutely agree with investigation and impeachment as I did with Clinton’s perjury. If impeached and convicted, jail time would be in order for this betrayal of the public trust. I doubt that there is a gross misunderstanding here but that must be ruled out before the congress does it’s duty. How foolish the House would look if they had been duped by the legalese and political speech they use on us.
