Novak disgusts me and is a lot of the reason why I don’t watch CNN anymore. However, I do applaud CNN for pairing with YouTube over the debates.

My only beef with the debate hosts is that they did not closely mirror the electorate. See my recent post:

is whats disgusting.He is old, ugly, ignorant and irrelevant.
He is a sinnister, biggot,hypocrit and pathalogical liar.
He knew exactly what he was doing when he outed Valarie Plame!!!!!
He should be in prison. and hopefully she will file a civil suit against him
so he can die in total defeat and penniless.
He is hardly an aristocrat. much,much closer to trailer trash.
IT is really hard to imagine any creditable news organization associating with him. he is far,beyond a dynasour.
Most of the people that deal with him aren ‘t stupid. They know he is merely piegon droppings and they use him as such.
a waste carrier. evidenced by his click and drag hair do,outdated clothes and cane.
talk about disgusting. that would be Bob Novak

Well, when you have people dressed up in costumes or puppets asking questions to presidential candidates, it does appear to be a somewhat silly venue.

I think this is a non-issue. If candidates don’t want to be asked questions about the environoment by a hand puppet, then it’s no big deal.

If they cleaned up the youtube forum to allow only questions, then it may actually be considered a competent forum.

It took 200 years too many for democracy to fullfill it’s true meaning of power to the people. CNN I salute you for your courage and hope to see many more “youtube” style debates for decades into the future. Novak’s got it all wrong about grassroots democracy, the more the better!

A large part of the videos on youtube seem to involve people who are drunk, drugged or just plain stupid. Yeah, thatâ€™s who I want to hear posing questions to presidential candidates. Maybe the candidates can also appear in sweats and dirty t-shirts to make themselves more appealing to â€œthe masses.â€ ;)
