I suspect this 28% is comprised of the usual sheeple who will stand by the guy they voted for and his entire staff, no matter what (and most of them are in “la-la-la-I-can’t-hear-you” mode).
How long before the first troll appears to compare this to the mythical “14% for the Democrat-controlled congress”???
3…2…1…
The same Americans (I use the term loosely here) also believe the following:
Bush is a great leader, Churchillian in stature.
The war in Iraq is going well.
Saddam attacked us on 9/11.
Saddam and Osama bin Laden were friends.
Saddam really did have WMDs, and they were all moved to Syria.
Terrorism has decreased under Bush’s reign.
The earth is 6,000 years old.
Global warming doesn’t exist.
This is interesting and all, but the fact is, public opinion doesn’t really enter into it. Gonzo is guilty of perjury at the very least…that much is self-evident. He needs to pay for this crime (as well as others), public favor or disfavor notwithstanding.
28% seems high, and is depressing, but if you think about it, and think about the influence that the wrong-wing has on the media, and the continually wall of noise coming from wrong-wing blowhards on the radio, and then realize that with ALL OF THAT they can only fool 28% - it doesn’t look so bad (just trying to find some kind of positive in this).
28% are the ones who would love to turn America into a nazi like state, you know killing the non-believers, gays, and anyone else that doesn’t kiss the ass of the govt and church.
Just look at DuhRyll, people think he’s a parody, sadly I know many people like him. Brainwashed to the max.

As much as I’d love to see Gonzo go down for perjury, I think Bush would just pardon him anyway. Then we would see Attorney General Lynne Cheney. I would rather Gonzo just stay in office until the next elections. He makes such a wonderful millstone.
What if some of those 28%-ers have an unflappably favorable opinion of Gonzales not because of his testimony, but because he is the first latino Attorney General?
OT:
I read a very interesting article on Huff Post last night: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/coleen-rowley/dangers-of-a-cornered-geo_b_58429.html
regarding Bush when cornered. A lot to think about. It is written by Coleen Rowley (FBI whistleblower), Dr. Justin Frank (who wrote “Bush On The Couch), and a few other veteran intelligence analysts.
Carlos likes the taste of Gonzo? Interesting, but why should anyone care, maricón?
28%ers are the last bastion of Bush defenders, the pus-filled core of support. Born again Christians who live in an alternate reality where the orders come down from above and they are beyond question. If Bush says we are making “progress” in Iraq, well, who are these people to question his authority?
Bush says Tillman was a hero and died fighting for freedom. And so it goes.
Will these blind followers vote Repugnicunt in 2008? Would a cow lick Lott’s wife?
JG - thanks for the link to that article. One paragraph really scared the $hit out of me:
“George W. Bush is without conscience, and it would require a lengthy series of clinical sessions to find out what happened to it. By identifying himself as all good and on the side of right, he has been able to vanquish any guilt, any sense of doing wrong.”
Please impeach these bastards before we all wind up in nazi germany II
Of course Gonzales is hated.
The Racists Leftists in the Press and Blogs have non stop attacked him.
If he was Black, Muslim or Jew you guys wouldn’t attack him.
JG - thanks for the link to that article. One paragraph really scared the $hit out of me:
As someone who has lived with a person with similar character/psychological deficits and behavioral traits for 16 years, I recognized a lot of what Dr. Frank describes very early on in this Administration. It was weird to have someone write down what I thought I was seeing as well.
This article is a really important read. That is something to consider - the danger of a cornered Bush. Americans better act quickly here.
The book by Dr. Justin Frank is also a very good read “Bush On The Couch”.
You’re all a bunch of racist bigots here.
If he was a Jew, black or muslim.
You guys would defend him.
Just like you guys defend that Jew Spitzer, using the police to spy on a political rival. He’s also stone walling the investigation!

Daryll, probably my one and only serious question to you, but if you believe what you post, why do you think Bush is on the same side as your Christ?
Because he says he is? Have you ever considered that maybe he just makes shit up because he knows it plays well in the church? It’s a game little man, and you are a pawn being manipulated by KKKarl. They looked around and said, now which segment of society is the most easily manipulated, who are the most gullible, the ones who accept and don’t question authority…

Think for yourself little puppet, you are being played for a fool.
Polls are psychological tools and should be IGNORED and never quoted, until they go away like their equally useless predictor the reading of tea leaves!
Gonzo’s approval rating is NOT 28%, it is UNKNOWN, because NOT enough measurements have been taken to KNOW.
There is no “magical tool” that can let you look at less than 1% of a picture and tell you what the entire 100% of the picture looks like, unless the picture has a repeating pattern.
Many pictures have repeating patterns, but few opinions occur in repeating patterns, because very few people answer polls based on the roll of a dice or other “random” manner!
Because people’s opinions do not occur in a repeating pattern, random sampling cannot be used, therefore at least 80% of the population must be sampled in order to make a prediction that one can be sure that is at least an 80% certainty of being correct.
If ONE more post gets deleted, I’m taking the day off TP…you GOT THAT! lmao

And don’t try to claim that “abortion” is a “belief”. Beliefs like all humans deserve dignity in their individual paths to God and in their lives.

Where exactly did Jesus say “marriage was made for a man and a women”? Can you point me to the book, chapter and verse?
And sure, there is more to the Bible (I, too, capitalize it out of respect) than “Love thy neighbor”. But if you had to reduce it to a single concept, that comes pretty close.
But I have to say, Daryll, your reading of the Bible, especially the New Testament, sounds pretty misshapen to me. Almost like you had to distort it in order to shoehorn it into a right-wing philosophy.
I mean, really — “continuing to give to those who refuse to help themselves “??? “unequally taxing the rich”??? That’s the best you can do? THAT is what you consider “filthy”?

4″Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’[a] 5and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’[b]? 6So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”

Nice try, liar. You forget that Congress includes Republicans. Here’s the truth behind your ignorance:
“In fact, the most recent poll conducted by Stephanopoulos’ own network — a July 18-21 Washington Post-ABC News poll — showed President Bush with a lower approval rating than Congress. The poll found that Bush has a 33-percent approval rating and a 65-percent disapproval rating, and that Congress has ratings of 37 percent approval and 60 percent disapproval.
Moreover, when respondents were polled on congressional Democrats and Republicans separately, congressional Republicans received a 34-percent approval and a 64-percent disapproval rating, while congressional Democrats received an approval rating of 46 percent and a disapproval rating of 51 percent.”

July 31st, 2007 at 12:18 pmRepeat after me:
Why is this so hard for people to grasp?

Just what about “liberal beliefs” do you find “filthy”?
And don’t try to claim that “abortion” is a “belief”. I’m talking about beliefs, like the belief that the poor deserve protection just like the rich, and freedom of religion is the only way for both government AND faith to be completely free. Beliefs like all humans deserve dignity in their individual paths to God and in their lives.
Could you explain some of these types of beliefs that most liberals would recognize, and tell us how they are “filthy”?

The sooner they get marginalized instead of played to, the sooner we might see our soldiers start coming home instead of staying in the heat.
July 31st, 2007 at 1:31 pmDaryll, I’ve asked this before, and you never seem to be willing to answer:
Just what about “liberal beliefs†do you find “filthy
And don’t try to claim that “abortion†is a “beliefâ€. I’m talking about beliefs, like the belief that the poor deserve protection just like the rich, and freedom of religion is the only way for both government AND faith to be completely free. Beliefs like all humans deserve dignity in their individual paths to God and in their lives.
Could you explain some of these types of beliefs that most liberals would recognize, and tell us how they are “filthy
Thanks.

Here’s a few, continuing to give to those who refuse to help themselves (Jesus said, “In order to eat, you must work”), unequally taxing the rich (we are all equal in the eyes of God), supporting same sex relationships (Jesus said marriage was made for a man and a women). Spit take, there is more to the bible than “Love thy neighbor”.

Your God sucks. And swallows. If you don’t get on your knees and praise Poseidon right now His army of octopus and marlin will mow your ass down for blaphemy.
There is only one true God, and His name is Poseidon!
Why do you think New Orleans was destroyed by water? You think it was the titty bars you simpleton? It was all the evangelical Jesus freak churches that pissed off the true God and he destroyed New Orleans just as he will Salt Lake City.

July 31st, 2007 at 1:50 pmbeing disobedient to the head of which country? Where Christians in Uganda reguired to meet this condition? How about Christains in all of the countires with shitty heads of government. I have never heard this about Jesus before. See now I am really bummed. First I thought it was all crap. Then I thought Jesus might have been a pretty cool “anti establishment, stick it to the man†type of righteous guy. Now you tell me that part of his message was to cowtow to whoevers in charge. I’m soo confused on this whole Christian thing.

In the bible, didn’t Jesus tell the Romans to obey Cesar? If President Bush is not doing anything wrong, stop mocking him. You are mocking one of God’s chosen men.
July 31st, 2007 at 1:52 pmyou can join by following Acts 2:38 and stop supporting homosexuality

Jesus said, “thou shalt not kill”. I use the word of God to convict them.

Hooo-kay…

Matthew 19, verses 4-6:
4″Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’[a] 5and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’[b]? 6So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”

So why isn’t divorce a bigger issue than gay marriage? This applies to divorce more than same sex marriage and divorce is mentioned many times.

Yeah…I guess this is why God made Adam, and then made Eve only as an afterthought when he realized he’d forgotten to make Adam a suitable mate.
Silly God….he should have never smoked that joint on the third day.

Paul, Paul, Paul… your talking points are a little stale. Might try keeping up. Here’s the latest poll reported.
It has Congress at 37% and Bush at 34%.
Oops. There goes another perfectly good talking point.
July 31st, 2007 at 3:56 pmpaul:
Take your dog and phony show somewhere where people think the Internet is a bunch of tubes. . . .

Because unicorn worshiping loonies like Daryll prefer hate and hypocrisy over rational ideas and fair treatment of their fellow beings. What can you expect from Daryll, a self loathing closeted gay black man. Poor thing - didn’t have a chance with all of that baggage to carry around!

I don’t know what fantasy poll you’re pulling out of your alimentary, but the one I see says: Approval ratings, Gonzalez= 28%; Democrats in Congress = 46%. Read the rest of the story instead of making it up (yeah, I know it’s easier and that’s what your buttbuddy Limpaugh says to do, but it’s not real). Also, just because idiots like you call it a “Democratic Congress” doesn’t negate the fact that around 45% of them are Republicans, and they’re the jackasses pulling all the filibusters.
