And sure, there is more to the Bible (I, too, capitalize it out of respect) than “Love thy neighbor”. But if you had to reduce it to a single concept, that comes pretty close.

But I have to say, Daryll, your reading of the Bible, especially the New Testament, sounds pretty misshapen to me. Almost like you had to distort it in order to shoehorn it into a right-wing philosophy.

Just what about “liberal beliefs” do you find “filthy”?

And don’t try to claim that “abortion” is a “belief”. I’m talking about beliefs, like the belief that the poor deserve protection just like the rich, and freedom of religion is the only way for both government AND faith to be completely free. Beliefs like all humans deserve dignity in their individual paths to God and in their lives.

Could you explain some of these types of beliefs that most liberals would recognize, and tell us how they are “filthy”?
