I was among the first to decry this new Vietnam, but amazingly enough - the Iraqis seem to be finally coming to the realization their best interests lay with America not Al Quaida. Their decision was helped along when the terrorists (that weren’t supposed to be there) started executing women for not wearing the veil, and chopping off men's fingers for smoking. The Sunnis have realized they had made a deal with the devil and now they are helping us. Bear in mind all three Democrat candidates are developing new policy platforms to keep troops in Iraq. The neo-conservatives are having a hard time admitting that their grand plan to bring democracy to the Middle East has overwhelmingly failed. Ware has a lot of credibility on this war.
