Palmer withdraws EEOC nomination.

By Amanda Terkel on Aug 6th, 2007 at 9:47 am

Palmer withdraws EEOC nomination.

“David Palmer, whose nomination to chair the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission had languished for nearly a year, withdrew his name over the weekend, bitterly complaining that partisanship in the confirmation process has gotten out of control.” Former Justice Department colleagues opposed Palmer’s nomination, and he was “the subject of at least one complaint of employee abuse in his supervisory role at the Justice Department.”

So we can expect his appointment during the next congressional recess correct?

Boo-fkn-hoo. If Rove had gotten his way and Repubs controlled all branches of government for the next 50 years, we wouldn’t be having this problem, would we Palmer?

Let’s just elect Bush king and get over it, and get rid of these silly confirmation processes and let him appoint whomever the hell he wants to. Britney Spears trusts him, and we know what a fine, upstanding citizen and role model she is.

Is this the same justice department run by rove, I mean gonzales? Who’d have thought there was this type of treatment there.

It’s not that they couldn’t, but that they wouldn’t.

You know, kind of like all those Judges the Republican’s wouldn’t process during the Clinton presidency?

Another Bush potential shuttled away to the scrap-pile, good effin riddance! War? What war? We need to keep concentrating on these obscure appointments to commissions that most Americans have never heard of…priorities people, priorities!

Not to mention that this is something the dems can actually accomplish, unlike everything else.

Democratic Seats Secure, Republicans at Risk

The latest strategy memo from James Carville and Stan Greenberg touts a recent poll in the 70 most competitive Congressional districts which shows the Democrats “in a strong position to hold their gains from 2006 and move far into Republican territory in 2008.”

“Indeed, Democrats hold an 18-point electoral advantage in their own districts while Republicans are losing their districts by 5 points overall — 7 points in their most vulnerable districts, 51 to 44 percent.”

Key finding: “Republican incumbents are paying a big price for the deep discontent in the country and for aligning with the President who is no more popular in the Republican districts than in the Democratic ones. ”

Relatively narrow wheelbase for use on rural tracks and use on congested urban roads, yet wide enough to be stable in most situations, if properly loaded.

I’ve heard of it, but it just seems wrong (can’t put my finger on it, but if you’ve ever boned a chicken, putting one thing inside another ruins it for me).

What does it matter? Bush can do wiretapping without a warrant thanks to the Dem congress.

#36: What does warrantless wiretapping have to do with Palmer withdrawing his EEOC nomination?

  39. katy says:

well, i should at least explain the procedure…

yes, the birds are de-boned, chicken and duck skinned also…
but all are split and layed flat, filled and layered with stuffing,
then all are wrapped up together, tied and roasted…
it wasn’t bad… jalepeno dressing was a bit much though…

The Dems are so incompetent that they don’t even know how to pass a nominee that Bush appointed.

No wonder they have single digit approval ratings. They don’t understand how the congress functions.

Without endorsing the whole turducken concept (which I’ve heard nothing good about), I will say that the vendor referenced is a terrific company. I’ve bought a ton of stuff from them over the years, and their prices and service have been excellent.

    /end commercial
